*tear*
From what I caught up on, reading wise, looks like the League's been a riot so far.
I want in, if there's another league startup, down the road.

XBOX
Smells like Bigfoot's dick.
Or hockey equipment; it's pretty much a pickem.
To be honest, I think the last time someone played Hotsteppers, I was drunk and CCF was Goalie. The time before that was like, a week before. No one really plays anymore. Sick of losing all the time.
edit: flip that, reverse it.
I will, probably around 930-10 Eastern. I also offered you a trade or two.
I'll have a look and will be try to be on then!
also, mheff, I accepted the trade for Cally - thinking about Voros.
Wah, wah, wah. We have heard this bitching before. Suck it up and learn the basics of goalie.
Hearing you all bitch about having to play goalie for penalty shots is like people bitching they have to play defense when they are a forward.

I'm quoting this just so you goalie control apologists realize that there is an equally vocal group of people who hate being forced to play goalie. Stand up, brothers, and join in our fight against forced goalie control!
Please don't quit the NHL series of games.
Left trigger! Left trigger! LEFT TRIGGER!

Kind of like how playoff games were decided by shootout? That's all an aside for me really, but EA does just make some dumb decisions with these games. You'd think they could pay attention to some of the finer detail after all these years of putting these games out.
Yup, exactly like that. It's not fucking hard to fix that, either, so if online league playoff games are still decided by shootout, I'm going to be pissed. They probably will be, and it'll probably be made human goalie which will make it even WORSE than last year.
I hope to fuck this is fixed by EA introducing a Madden like online franchise into the series very soon.
So what you are saying is you don't like the punishment for taking away a scoring chance illegally?
No, I don't like being forced to control the goalie when I haven't controlled him the entire fucking game. Give them a penalty shot, but leave the goalie CPU.
Well, that is your punishment for taking someone down. Expecting an easy cop out to get the ai goalie to take the blame for a penalty shot goal? Tsk tsk. :P
And this and shootouts in playoffs are different just because the shootouts in the playoffs shouldn't even be there. That is a legit gripe.
And now I have to play floor hockey with probably some sort of flu/cold. Tonight, I am Visnovsky!

Isn't the punishment the fact that the opposition gets to go 1 on 1 with the goalie?
:?
Yea, but if it was an AI goalie there would be like a 95% chance it is stopped. That is something you, the person not wanting that shot taken during play and not wanting to be goalie, wants to rely on. If you are going to take someone down, you should be forced to stop the puck.
I see why you guys don't want to be goalie, but I am on the pro-goalie side of things.
And now I am off to flu hockey. I mean floor hockey.

From what I've seen, if you know how to do a certain maneuver, it goes in 95% of the time.
The point is this, the guy's got a breakaway to begin with where he's going to be shooting on a CPU controlled goalie. If I take him down, why does he get the same breakaway, except now against me controlling the goalie when I do this at no other point during the game?
Bingo...and bullshit it'll be stopped 95% of the time. If you know what you're doing, you can score at least 50% of the time.
I'm 10-0-1 now. Fuck you Redfield.
In the EASHL today, the New York Islanders took both games of a home-and-home against the Tampa Bay Lightning to improve to 11-2-2 on the season. Head coach Remlap had this to say:
"You know the boys out there gave it their all. It was tough going against arguably the best team in the league and we just persevered, gave 110% and came out of it with 4 points."
The win was marked by extremely solid goaltending once again by Dwayne Roloson, who after sitting on the bench for the first 2 games of the year, has gone on a tear, posting a 10-3 record with a 1.00 GAA and a league leading 5 shutouts. Another trend that continued for the Islanders was scoring throughout the lineup. 10 different players had points in the 2 wins, with the 4 goals coming from 3 separate lines.
With those 2 wins the Islanders now sit in first place in the PAL. However, the Lightning, coached by CCF, are just 3 points back with 2 games in hand. The Boston Bruins are also seen to be contenders, sitting at 6-0-2 so far this year. The Islanders must hope to at the very least get points in both those games if they hope to stay in the hunt for the Mayor's Cup, and first place in the playoffs.
what's your gamertag?
Good games remlap and Tubesteak.

edit: sorry for the wait, I forgot I asked if someone wanted to play :P
