It's just tiring to see people try to make everything work great on the PS360, and the the Wii version they just throw something together and put it on the shelf.

Until I can ride a laser-toting utahraptor and shoot bad guys I consider video gaming a failure as a whole.
Shooting laser beams is fine, but you know you really want to charge at your foes and rip appendages off their armour plated mechs with your fearsome jaw attacks. In between leaping from rooftop to rooftop while fighting helicopters and pterodactyls, I mean.
You've gone too far.
There is no such thing as "too far" in regards to my fictional Dino Riders game.
They should make a side scrolling CONRTA-esque shooter based on Caddillacs and Dinosaurs. Imagine Viewtiful Joe graphics in HD with dinosaurs that have guns on their fucking heads!
This. If we're going to have a dinosaur revival, we NEED a new Dino Crisis. Hell just take RE4/RE5, remove the not-zombies and replace them with dinosaurs.

I love you for just knowing who the Dino Riders actually are. Not many people remember them.
I used to have that awesome Tyranosaur toy with the lasers and back carrier and snake/frog bad guys. Dino Riders were awesome.
I'm surprised that there's not very many people who seem to remember them, I remember it being popular where I lived when I was a kid.
I only had the Stegosaur (I think it was the Stego) with the side mounted carrier. It was pretty damn boring.
A better dino riders game or a "Left 4 Extinct" would be awesome.
It's because we're old. The show was on for a single season in 1988. Assuming a starting age of 4 to even remember the show, you'd be 25 just to recall it.
And there's a disturbing number of people that are under the age of 25.
It makes way more sense to have speedy little velociraptors than fast zombies, anyway. Everyone knows zombies move slowly.
When they first turn it makes sense that they are fast since they'd still have muscle mass. But if they are still shambling around weeks later then it really doesn't make sense.
This. If we're going to have a dinosaur revival, we NEED a new Dino Crisis. Hell just take RE4/RE5, remove the not-zombies and replace them with dinosaurs.
Sounds good to me. Dino Crisis 2 worked great as a pure action game (not that the original's RE-style focus wasn't bad), but throw in the RE4-style stuff and you're golden. One condition: bring Regina back as a main character.
I actually rented DC3 (aka Dinos IN SPACE), and for what it was worth I had a pretty good time with it. Maybe it was the fact that the absurdity pushed the game from being stupid to "sublimely enjoyable".
Anyway, this game looks like a silly, halfway decent rental; I haven't played a good dino-hunting FPS since the original Turok and its N64 sequels. Plus you can PUNCH DINOSAURS in the FACE!
I'd like a Cabella's hunting style dino game. Give me some traps n' such like the ability to make a giant pit with spikes. Fire on the dino and if you can't get a kill shot and the thing charges you have an option other than an endless circle/fire fest I'm afraid this game could be. Other thing I'd be afraid is that every dino will have an aggro response instead of fight or flight it is always fight. Let me wound a dino and then have to track blood spots and broken brush as I try and find my weakened prey. Also weakened prey could allow for dirtbag scavengers to swoop up my kills like a T-Rex perhaps.

Really just one season? Man. I think I rented the VHS at Randall's all the time.
I had this:
It did everything because I had an awesome imagination.

Carnivores 2 doesn't have traps but you can hunt dinos, including raptors, follow their mating calls and blood trails etc.
Buy it from Gamestop new and return it within a week and pick up the full refund. You'll get to play an iffy looking game for free and screw over Gamestop at the same time!
Seriously though this looks interesting enough to my Paleo-nerd self that I'll probably put down some money for it.

Yes! That's the one I had! Memories++!
Edit: Still not as cool as the modular triceratops skeleton I had - it was like K'nex, but with actual plastic bones, and the two eye-horns fired off like projectiles. I wish I knew what it was called.
Found it!

So after watching the whole video, this is trying so hard to be a kid-friendly version of the latest Turok.
I mean, I enjoyed the Hell out of Turok, I don't care what you people say, but I'm not sure making a ripoff of a game that wasn't all that original itself is a great idea.

I was not happy with the latest Turok; didn't like the look, hated the enemies, and the controls felt off. This does look better, the enemies are dinosaurs only, and we'll see about the controls.
Looking around and there are no critic reviews, I know thats a shock. Found a few brief got it today impressions; thus far no serious complaints, most seem to enjoy it, and a few said it was better than Turok.
But those were quick blurbs, usually with the player saying they have only played 30 min - 2 hours. Nothing solid, and I had to toss what I think were joke posts from the various sites.
I wouldn't mind too much if the dino riders game looked like that.
And no I'm not 25 but I grew up in Eastern Europe just after the collapse of the Soviet Union so our animated dinosaur show culture was a few years behind.

"Clever girl..."
But there was a Dino Riders PC game.

Why isn't that a video game? Riding dinosaurs and shooting rockets at shit.

I had completely forgotten about Dino Riders until I saw this thread.
And you raise an amazingly excellent question: Why the hell hasn't this been made into a game?
*edit*

Jeff Gerstmann over at Giant Bomb bought a copy of this with the intent of doing a quick look. That should be interesting.
I feel like this game should have come out either earlier or much later.

There is no dino riders game. Period. I refuse to believe it.
This is a screenshot from Spore. That is the only explanation.

Hell yeah.
Remember Jurassic Park on the SNES? I hated going inside buildings. Fucking Velociraptors man.
Now the Jurassic Park for the Sega Game Gear was tight as shit.
Playing Grant was kind of fun, too. You felt completely outclassed by the dinosaurs.
