and an added bonus. if no one has noticed this yet, if you totaly refill liliths phase cooldown by killing enemies before breaking phase you can melee attack while phased as many times as you can before the timer runs out without breaking phase

really don't get why they would want to cut off weapon stats at four lines. the entire game is based around getting guns with stats. its just.. what?

I bought this on a whim yesterday not knowing muhc about it. I'm not touching multiplayer, but what I've gathered from reviews and from 2 hours of playing is the game is just as much fun in singleplayer, but slower paced and a bit lonlier. Anyone care to clarify from experience?

Also, is every gun placemement randomised ala Diablo 2? I got a uniqeley named pistol that sets people on fire and has a blade under it for extra melee damage from the first boss. Does everyone get that or, like I said, is it more like Diablo 2 where drops are pretty random?

Some drops are unique, and most are random. Many bosses and sub-bosses drop guns in-between those two standards. Their guns always have the same name and special effects, but have otherwise varying stats.

Everyone gets some weapons with certain effects, but the specific stats of those weapons may be randomised.

So bosses always drop named weapons, and a few other named characters do to, but you won't always get the same damage/elemental effects unless certain things are predetermined, like the blade and fire effect.

What I mean really, is did everyone get that specific, uniqe named machine pistol with the blade on it and enemy ignition from Ninetoes?

And the Lady Finger pistol from the gravestone?

So, weapon proficiency is based on getting kills with the specific weapon type, but do you get a higher boost if you kill higher level enemies? Or can you build proficiency by quickly killing a lot of lower level enemies?

I think it only happens with the soldier guys?

I went down and managed to kill a soldier this way, when he was right up close to me, in my face. I saw every detail of it. My friend asked "How the hell did you get a second wind?"

Not quite, if you shrink your font size in-game mods can actually have up to five lines. I believe the most you can get out of a mod is the primary bonus, one +4, two +3s, and one of the secondary bonuses. Like so:

If it's like the guns, it might be possible that more than 5 lines are there. The game just isn't designed to show more than 5, no matter how small you make your font.

Some more info about the upcoming zombies DLC

    http://www.gamespot.com/news/6240181.html
The content is a full-on playable adventure that takes place concurrently with the original game's story and can be played whether you've completed the game or not, and like with the original game, it will scale the difficulty of its critters to your character's level.

Although they are wrong in that I don't remember any enemies scaling to my level in the original game... scaling zombies is exactly what I wanted to hear.
These missions will give you more chances to gain experience points and, of course, hunt down new randomly-generated loot items.

NEW! Although we should assume there would be new loot since it is DLC, still nice to read it in print.

Zombies will be coming out of the ground. Not sure if that means like spiderants or if they just keep coming over and over again, which has been implied.

Anyway, I'm glad this is coming out right before a 4 day weekend.
