Correct. Cooljammer and I were spreading massive lies so manwithmachinegun could be blindsided by awesomeness.

Goddamnit. Looks like I screwed the pooch on that one.

I'm excited for this series coming out on WiiWare because of one particular friend I have, who owns a Wii but no DS, whom I've been trying to convince that these games alone would be worth buying a DS for. He would hear none of it. So it now looks like a friend of mine is getting the first game gifted to him!

You have a friend who doesn't own a DS? Madness!

Also, where the hell have you been? People are still waiting for you to finish Chrono Trigger.

    Yeah.

    YEAH.

I don't think I ever had another moment like that in the series. Maybe it was the honeymoon period, maybe it was just how awesome it was blowing away everything else, but that....was the culmination of many a sleepless school night.

Fixed on the rare hope that machinegun hasn't seen it yet

    Also, T&T spoilerz (Last case)
So you know that well-known decision that forces you to present something, and both the millions of wrong answers and the one right answer get the exact same text and expression for like 5 screens before they tell you it's different? I chose a wrong answer first, went through that, reset the DS and tried again. And chose the right answer.

    But I reset my DS.

I then went through my entire inventory growing increasingly fustrated and hid the DS away for a week before daring to venture onto gamefaqs to find that my second answer was correct.

    So fustrating, yet so awesome

That's another thing I want to see at some point. Whenever you make an incorrect objection, you should have like a 1 in 100 chance of having your guy slam his hands, then have dramatic music play as he presents the evidence. The prosecutor, judge, and witness all look shocked, and the prosecutor stammers that what you're presenting is impossible. You start to give an explanation about how that piece of evidence completely changes the nature of the case, then trail off as you realize you have no idea what you're talking about.

I like to consider myself a bit of a pro at spreading Phoenix Wright misinformation for the sake of new players.

My favorite bit is telling them that there's one case that you lose. In my experience, it tends to instill the player with much more distress during the game (which is always a positive thing in my book).
Also, you could argue that it's not technically misinformation depending on your perspective.

I'd heard a vague spoiler to the extent that the man who killed Edgeworth's father was in fact
    Von Karma
but I have no real context for it.

Okay, started Case 4, Karma is definitely a douche constantly objecting me. I thought it was a bit cheap that the first cross examination is 'unwinnable' as I presented about four really good contradictions in my minds eye, but the game said, "NO THERE IS NO CONTRADICTION IN THAT TESTIMONY!" It is the final case, but some kind of warning would be nice.

I think one of my favorite comedy moments is in the last case of T&T:
When you're cross-examining Larry about the "angel," and press him on one part of the testimony and ask if he realizes just how many contradictions were in that one sentence, and he's able to list off like five or six.

It's always a good idea to press every statement before you even start thinking about presenting evidence. You get no penalty for it (except for ONE cross-examination in the entire series, which you're warned of explicitly), and about half the time you'll get new evidence, new/revised statements or the game will simply move on from it. The rest of the time you'll either get funnies or a better understanding of the circumstances which will help you later anyway.

The worst is the cases where you have to press statements in a specific order.

As soon as they introduced that nonsense I just started pressing everything twice. Fortunately it doesn't happen often.

Okay, I'm in the old dude "pasta/fishing" shack trying to pry info out of him and I'm momentarily stuck. I've presented every piece of evidence to him, found the bird, heard the combination, examined nearly every pixel in the room, and tried to open the safe. I'm not sure what combination of actions are needed to advance further.

Is it something adventure game retarded? Or am I missing something obvious. No hints, I just want to know if its something restarted or simple to due with the interface.

Edit: Ah, yep, it was something retarded.

It was funny the first few times I did it, Phoenix being such a show off and all. But I sort of forgot about it until just now. Anyway, back on track with the trial. More to come.

Well they have. Only you don't have one, because well, Nintendo's online silliness and how it wasn't packed in with Animal Crossing.

Not like these control shenanigans didn't get old pretty quick on the DS anyway.

Also I guess if you got Rock Band or Guitar Hero on the Wii you do have a compatible microphone, but I still doubt this will support it.

Apollo Justice is a masterpiece. It brings back old characters, gives you new means to do detective work, and shows you phoenix's final case. I'd say it is worth buying, the third case was disappointing, but it had a lot to do with the story.

It's definitely worth your money, so playing it for free? Shit yeah!

It's not that bad at all. The only thing really going against it is that you're not playing as Phoenix. It feels sort of like Batman Beyond to the original animated series, y'know? Everyone's new, Phoenix is sporting a kick-ass hat, but the core formula is still the same.

Also, it has the best sprite animation so far in the series.

Apollo Justice is fine, most people gripe about it because it's not Phoenix Wright and they reach for excuses why it's bad. It's good for the same reasons; really damn well written cases. You're just a new attorney with his own personality. And Ema Skye comes back for it.
