    Um... I just found out about this this morning and I haven't had WoW on my PC since last week when I reinstalled Win 7.

    I'm working with Blizzard right now.

    Also, I've got the authenticator app on my iPhone... that is why this is so confusing to me. Also, on top of that, my account was canceled until after the wedding... this guy reactivated my account with my credit card, so I've got bigger issues than the guild bank getting robbed. I'm going to try to get your stuff back and I'm sorry this happened. This is not what I want to be doing at 7am on a Sunday morning. I was about to have morning sex.

    I bought a replacement authenticator at the beginning of October, and it hasn't even shipped yet!

    Well early word from a GM named Bahkteva is that they have had a small number of people who use authenticators be hacked recently and they are trying to figure it out.

    Davefella, have you heard anything about that?

    Yes. They have restored my characters and I have my accounts back, and now I am reinstalling WoW so I can create an in-game petition to get my stuff and the guild bank stuff back. Do they even restore guild bank stuff?

    Guys, I feel super bad about this.

    Yeh guild bank stuff is restored.

    The only thing I've heard about this is the chinaman is somehow keylogging your authenticator code and basically tries it on your AM page. If you enter it when the code is first generated they have like 20 seconds to login to your account and change your details.

    It's really fucked up and we hope that they can change it so that a code is a 1 use thing.

    Well I keep my home PC pretty clean and I've been using the authenticator since last year so this is really unfortunate. I'll do what I can to get our bank stuff back. Sorry dudes.

    What I don't get is if his account was inactive (and they used his card to re-up it), how did they get past the authenticator if he wasn't using it? Don't they need the player to enter a code and they steal it at point of entry? Kind of worrisome to think about they can get past authenticators now.

    They didn't get my credit card and I was mistaken, my account is still active until the end of next week. I'll e logging in tonight to put in a ticket to recover the guild bank.
