if the staff at naughty dog did nothing but work on uncharted games for the rest of their unnaturally prolonged lives, i'd be a happy man
If you've seen the behind the scenes videos, working at Naughty Dog is so fucking intimidating. It's a small team and everyone is a fucking superstar in their field. You should basically kill yourself if you fuck up.
So I finally picked up 2 and played through it this weekend.
That was a pretty good game. Set piece after set piece.
There were a few little story issues I had and some of the end battles are just down right not fun but on the whole a really solid experience.
Those blue guys just suck to fight. It is possibly to make challenging enemies that are fun to fight, like the ninjas from the first half life, but they choose to go the "I have a zillion hit points" approach instead.
Also, why does Drake continue to search for Shambuliha once he gets the dagger from Chloe? If he is so eager to protect the place why doesn't he get the dagger as far away from generic Russian big bad as possible?

You could nail the big blue guys with their crossbows. They go down nice and quick then.

He keeps looking for it because he's not eagar to protect it at first (in fact, I don't think he's aware it needs protecting near the beginning). Originally, he's just looking for a big expensive rock that Marco Polo had.

Yeah but this is way after he knows it needs protecting. He goes and retrieves the dagger from Chloe at gun point and then instead of leaving the camp continues to look for the hidden entrance even though it is the dumbest thing he can do at that point.

he knew it need protecting, but he's still a treasure hunter. And, if I recall, by the time the big blue guys show up russian dude is already at Shambahla, and Drake just figured out what it all really is.
I'm currently playing through this right now. I'm so glad that I did a media black out on this. So many :O moments.
I was cracking up when you first meet up with Elena again, and all the crap they were talking back and forth.
Soon as one of the first big gun fights happens with them, Elena's camera guy is like "is it always like this with him?" (as I'm shooting dudes in the head left and right) and she's all "yea pretty much".
I'm doing my first play through right now on Hard and loving every bit of it
So, I've played through this on normal and loved it, currently replaying on hard atm (plan to go through on crushing at some point too, want to get a platinum ideally). I've tried the MP, but have yet to try any coop, is that any good? The arena mode is sort of horde mode/firefight right? What about the other coop?

Coop is a lot of fun if you can find decent people to play it with.
That DLC stuff was already proved false by Naughty Dog's twitter. Also, you can pretty much tell the pictures are photoshops.
I really wouldn't mind if they introduced some really bad ass character models. Not from other games (monsters and such seem a bit much).
But I wouldn't mind stuff kind of akin to cool looking characters in Modern Warfare, Splinter Cell, Indiana Jones.
As opposed to just characters from UC1.
Well then, I guess my photoshop sighting skills are bad. I totally thought some of those leaked screens were 'shopped. Since that first thing was pretty spot on, I'm guessing that, as of now, the other things leaked are pretty true, too. They might change a bit, but that's pretty cool. Also, 7 skins for 5 bucks isn't terrible, compared to other DLC packs. I don't know if I'll buy it, though, since I'd rather save my money for maps.
Just beat my first play through on Hard a few days back. Loved every bit of it. Finally I can go through and read all your spoilers
Honestly I like that the Uncharted universe always has a twist to "reality". Zombies in the first one seemed "out of place"... at first, but now after playing Uncharted 2, I realize that the Uncharted world allows "myths" to become "real". Also, golden crossbows ftw.
You made it to the train and then STOPPED playing?
My PS3 froze on me. I had work the next day and had been up too late already ... I'll admit though I soo wanted to boot the game up again. Very awesome experience so far.
One thing though ... while not a big deal I've actually noticed alot of bugs while playing through the singleplayer campaign ... fallen through the map at least 3 times now and had system lock ups twice.
With that said the game is alot of fun and I'm willing to overlook the bugs all things considered.

My brother was playing the game and it started to glitch after the sniper/bridge part, right before you fight some GAU dudes. But it had been running for 13 hours straight so we just restarted the machine.
The only glitch I had was when I was showing my friend the train level. I started it up and Drake would hold and fire an invisible pistol until I picked up another one.

Oh it's such a nice day, I think I'll go out the window! Whoa!
I died during a coop mission (I think it was the Village, after you do the zipline into a big arena with a bunch of GAU dudes. My teammate somehow finished everyone off and then couldn't advance because there was no door prompt. Suicide was the only solution to get the life to reset.

I remember from chemistry that there are plenty of ways to cause a flame to burn different colors. As for how safe it might be to breathe?

And can it make any situation into a disco, despite local sources of light?

Looks interesting. I hope it's not going to be exclusive to Japan. Kind of funny to imagine Cole using a gun though.

i'm pretty sure they have previously said that there would be no further co-op modes because it's way too much of a time-sink

So, I guess it's confirmed? Unless this is some impostor post, it looks real to me.

At PAX, they had a demo that consisted of the first part of Nepal, in the city. Chapter 4, I think?
How much more awesomeness does the game have left for me?
