The game is OK, all the quests involve grinding something, but at least they have a lot of quests which is nice. I wish there was more character customization because there isn't much. The gender locking isn't as bad as i thought it would be, there's basically a male and female warrior, male and female gunner, and male and female mage archetype. So it isn't as bad as it first sounded at least.
Well each gender type is different. Warriors are tank (female) or dps (male), mage is nukes (male) or heals (female), etc.
The quests get a little less grindy as you go, and the instance dungeons are actually kind of neat.

Check your quest log. The entry there says what monsters to go after.
Yeah, that quest and the next big one (to get your citizenship) are the two most annoying for that. The drops aren't that random, but if you don't know which monsters you need to kill it's annoying. On the plus side, if you just do quests and kill monsters then you'll probably be half way through the quest requirements by the time you have to do it.
And that's the main problem I had with the quest setup. They shove pages and pages of boring text at you, and even though it's mostly free of engrish, I just did not want to keep reading it. Then you find out that you miss important details that don't always show up well in the quest log.
So what I'm saying is just make sure you have a good idea of what you need to do before you skip.

anyways I got my loli and got it to level 5 and made it into a true loli.
the game's kinda grindy and i'm bored of it already since all I wanted to do was try out nation battles and it looks like it'll take too long just to try that stuff out.
i did like the dialogs and interactions. and also loved the skip button when i didn't feel like reading.
edit: Or maybe FEZ is a pay to play MMO that people have been discussing in the Free MMO thread. I am not familiar with it.

Meh, mages are very lackluster in pvp. Short ranges, small AoE, and nearly impossible to actually hit anyone due to the delay between activation/effect and the spammable invincibility dodge.
If you guys feel like you'll be playing this game for a while you should really move on to a new thread. Ask Munkus first and make sure you have a decent OP ready to show him. (so none of that "hai guyz, i luv this gaem pls join *link*")
Man the whole needing rings thing to get items is getting annoying. I need like 20 rings just to get my first set of armour, just for the chest piece. It gives like 4 rings a battle, i'll be too high of level for it by the time i can get it. This is dumb.
Also the letter quests are bugged for me, i did the red one liek 10 times and it wont give me the next letter.
Only the yellow letter quest is restricted and not as badly as it was in CB. You can just do the red and blue letter and get around 10 or 11.
Level only determines what you can equip. A level 1 guy and a lvl 40 guy will still have 1000hp/100pw base and hit the same if they have the same equips. one will just have more skill points. and way better equipment .
warriors are the easiest to learn and handle since they're melee ish. 1h+shield use stun bash then let your team mates kill the person (or your own hybrid combo). 2h use dragon tail to be pretty OP and kill everyone. the warrior buff makes DT unstoppable and it lasts so long and has such a big aoe if you want to hit someone you're going to hit them. and about 10 other guys around him.
heavy smash is popular to kill stunned targets. sonic boom tree is popular for a long range attack.
scouts can go bow where they kick back and miss everyone who's lagging, and use arrow rain as the biggest and furthest aoe in the game 3 times, then sit to get back pw. it's weak but good support as it stops people trying to run or gets the last hit in or hits a huge group of people.
dagger scouts can be annoying with debuffs, no 1 skill is arm break. it stops a player from doing any skills/attacks for 16 seconds. they have other debuffs too, all useful.
lastly, a dagger scout can also hide and use punishing strike, which does about 60% against sorcerers, 40% against scouts, and 20% against warriors. hide. sneak past people, look for someone to one shot, then try to run away so you can repeat.
ice sorcerer is the most popular. they freeze so your warrior friend can dragon tail or heavy bash, or scout can punishing strike. you get a PBAoE and a medium range super big aoe
flame sorcerer is 2nd. it's highest dps with a dot. but shortest range so makes you most vulnerable
lightnign sorcerer is least popular. it's longest range and fastest and most skills ignore height, so you can do some tricky stuff like cliff snipe or whatnot. but it doesn't really help in team play except chasing down runners
if you don't mind being called a newb and laughed at, just hit back space a lot to go to the world map, then join any map with crossed swords, fighting, and a join icon. you can learn it quickest that way. learn pvp that way. then do yellow letter when you can to learn the RTS stuff.
I'm PikaPuff of cesedria the elves (bleh). in Valkirie corps and after a long night of losing i yelled enough and people listened to my suggestions and we won some maps. felt good only owning two lands of the middle then after working hard owning 5 or 6 of them.
blue, yelsord is still pwning everyone with about 10+ maps owned, and netz (the furries) are the weakest and no maps won and people are starting fights own their own land now
