The Good Shephard really had a mix response, some of my friends hated it, some of them loved it. My cousin actually walked out of it an hour in...

Weird, I usually don't like movies that are all talk but still loved this even though it ran like 3 hours... :?

How about The Good German? Soderbergh, Clooney, black-and-white-filmed-using-the-same-techniques-as-the-predominant-black-and-white-films-of-that-era...

Sounds pretty awesome, but I've yet to see it.

I would like to see that film.

I liked The Good Shepherd, but it may have been a little long. Then again, maybe not. I only saw it once.

Sounds pretty awesome, but I've yet to see it.

Couple of friends, movie going trusted opinon friends, stated they didnt dig it. That the techniques took away from the film somewhat, but that the black and white was used to good effect. Average story. And that Clooney was good, but not great. They said Good Night, and Good Luck was so much better.

    So, rental?

V for Vendetta wasn't a god awful movie, I don't think. I read the book before watching the movie, and I could already tell from the trailer that they changed a lot of pretty vital stuff. So as I walked in the theater to see the movie, I put all prior knowledge of the book aside and enjoyed the movie as just that, and it did not disappoint.

My theater gets Children of Men tomorrow, I fully plan on seeing it before work(I work at said theater).

Also, my picks this year are:

    Apocalypto
    Casino Royale
    Blood Diamond
    Inside Man
And I KNOW Pan's Labyrinth will be awesome.

    edit:

Also, how in fuck's name did I forget The Departed? I think that and Apocalypto tie for best film of the year in my mind.
