Our local EB is pretty small, and when the Wii came out they didn't have very many consoles in stock. I was 15th in line I think (its been awhile obviously), but didn't realize they only had 10 so when the dude from the store came out he said he was sorry that they didn't have anymore. Luckily they came out within 10 minutes so I didn't wait around long.

Three days later I got my copy at a local zellers, because my sister was working there at the time and snagged a copy for me, I paid her back that night and set it up. It was pretty rad.

Other then that, I have never bothered to go to any sort of midnight/day one release. Id like to, but then I read stories like these and just shutter at the thought. Huge lines, in the cold, and having to wait awhile don't sound fun.

When I got my Wii, once they had 10 people in line (about 3pm), they gave us cards and told us to go away until midnight. When we went back to pick them up, several people turned up who hadn't been there at all during the day, and got really mad about not being able to just turn up at midnight and buy one. Like, literally jumping up and down demanding a Wii mad.

When I bought my PS3. Well, I bought it in the middle of the afternoon, the day after launch. Slightly less demand.

I still just have a Wii. It's right next to me, in fact. I have Brawl and Metroid Prime.

    AND THAT'S ALL I NEED.

I called WalMart every day for a week to see if they had a Wii in, then biked there in cold January weather to pick it up. The Wii is indisposable to me.

There have been numerous amounts of times where I have needed the internet, but have had no computer. Like for the past week or two. My Wii is incredibly useful.

    Did you perhaps mean "indispensable"?

That could be it. I mean, I also can't dispose of it.

    That's non-disposable.

My language and I shall see you in court.

    The result will be... non-negotiable?

Whatever the result, our lawyer has informed me that the bench will be inapproachable.
