The most enjoyable casual game I've played.
This is how I spend my Saturday nights.
And they supposedly are:
Oh my God I hope this is all true.
One should never have to rely on the intelligence of strangers for an achievement.

The first few questions are always ridiculously easy.
That's what your friends list is for. While I had very few bad groups made from strangers, I very often played with 2 or 3 friends in my group. Though we often tried to throw each other off with fake answers. So yeah, so very there.
"Gamerscore" means nothing. Its not tied to any currency or anything, so it's overall meaningless. Its just a way to show people things you've done in games, and possibly highlight what you're proud of. The avatar awards are a good way of doing that. I wore my Splosion Man shirt because I was damn proud of beating that game. The gamerpoints I got for it were there so people could see how well I did.
Being the one and being in the mob would be the type of things achievements are MADE for. Its a rare thing (hell, make them a point a piece), that not everyone would have - and people would note if you had it.
I think there even should be an achievement for being the one and winning the whole damn thing. THAT would be a special one to show off.
At very least I think there should be avatar awards for being in the mob, being the one, winning in the mob and winning as the one. It's a rare thing that I'd love to be able to show off if it happened to me.
I'm sure as shit glad you don't decide what Achievements exist.
I'd definitely jump in for an achievement or two.
I'd put achievements based on chance in stuff that's free.
And don't give me shit about achievements based on chance - I STILL dont have the Spinnerbox one in Fable 2...
But all I'm saying is that I want something to show people that I was the one, or in the mob. An avatar shirt, an achievement, a lovely parting gift.
Your reward for being the One is a fuckton of Microsoft Points.
By the way, these are true.
Game Show Guru and Group Hug look like the hardest ones.
Do not engage the Watermelons.
Can anyone confirm this?
Which my girlfriend would totally do. I have been very lucky in the sense that we played this together a TON during her free month of live, and the only other weekends we had free to do it happened to be free silver weekends.
Including this coming one.
I'm obviously thrilled that she's taken an interest and enjoying one of my hobbies, but I cant blame her for not wanting to pay for a gold subscription for JUST 1 vs 100 (especially when its not even available year round), but I dont really have the cash to give her a year sub as a gift. I'd buy the hell out of a season pass for her though (assuming it's like $15)
And maybe make getting instant answers humanly possible, or are they making no technical changes?
That being said, they NEED to team up with Jellyvision for a show. NEED.
I have a US gamertag (thenumber42), but you need Gold to even download 1 vs 100.
EDIT: Actually, if anyone has a trial Gold code, that might help with that.

And now... to go play!
.. also, 2 achievements get'd already.
I got all but 5 of the achievements, I came SO close to Game Show Guru... I had an 11 question streak if I'm not mistaken, but flubbed the 12th. =( I don't think I'll ever get quick draw though... I'm fairly good at trivia, but not great at getting it quickly. =(
Showboating Specialist and Trivia Fanatic are pretty much impossible to have gotten tonight... but maybe if you add in the whole night worth of trivia tomorrow and do some showboating at the live show, we can get them both by the end of tomorrow night.
I also have a very hard time intentionally answering questions wrong, so I'm having a hard time getting Low Rider, even though I tried to tell myself to get it intentionally.
Still good fun and the Questions have ramped up a bit this time.
You have to decide a bit earlier if you want to use one, however.

Also, they still haven't fixed the issues with not being able to hear the last host. Its still an improvement over last season.
I just unlocked a new dance by getting to level 5. Which is a little weird.

I got in the Mob last night too! I lost (as, apparently, everyone else did including The One) to the question about what condiment was used as medicine. I just couldn't believe it would be ketsup.
Oh, and if you want to trigger that achievement: let yourself fall to 0 so your character stops moving, and *then* pump it all the way back up to max again. Do that 10 times, and it should work!
EDIT: And indeed Willeth, some of the questions this season are downright obscure. General Trivia, I think, should be about general knowledge questions or subjects that are only of interest to specific subcultures. For example, the condiment question above was a totally fair question... but the question posed in Extended Play earlier in the day about "which underground punk band blah blah blah" (I don't remember the details) was one of dozens of questions that I think a person could only really know if they happened to be a part of that specific subculture. They should leave those questions for a subculture-specific special round or something, not put them in general trivia.
When's the first show tonight for the UK?
EDIT: Also, at least one of the questions was wrong last night. Carbon dioxide is not the cause of the bubbles in champagne.
