Anyone have any advice on who to place on the throne
Anora or Alistair or both? I only want the best outcome for Alistair sinece hes my bro. But if he will be unhappy and have to leave the party thats not the best
He doesn't have to leave the party. I highly recommend placing them both on the throne, it seems to be the best outcome.
Rewards are a big motivation for some people. Rewards that work on multiple playthroughs even moreso.
Of course. I'm simply saying that this seems oddly inconsistent with their design to make these specialization requirements a 'decision' rather than simply an inconvenience to be sidestepped.

This is sorta the choice I am stuck on, after you defeat Loghain the choice of Recruiting or killing him, is there any option that keeps both content
Also is there any way to Get the entire meet on your side, there is one fellow who always sides with him

Where the crap is the Admirable Warrior's last battle
It's in the Dead Trenches
The final component of his weapon, the Blade, is found on the corpse of an Ancient Darkspawn that you fight in that area. For me, his corpse took a few minutes to become "lootable" so I ended up running past him and having to come back later. I suck
On the Landsmeet:
It's either Loghain dies or Alistair leaves. It's a binary choice.
Just because they have breasts does not mean they're women
haha,
i remember when i mentioned this awhile back that it was in the game before it came out and everyone said it was a joke, who's laughing now suckers? bwhah

Alistair's rocking a full Legion of the Dead set unless there's a Legion sword I'm missing
There isn't. And man Legion of the Dead armor is so rad.
I prefer to put it on Oghren though, and Blood Dragon on Alistair. Blood Dragon seems more suited to his job as tank what with the big huge health bonuses and all the rest.

First question...
Yeah, it is possible to reconcile Alistair and Anora so that they'll marry. Once the... Loghain decision comes up, do not push for recruiting. If you do, Alistair will lose it and Anora will make a big fuss about totally not wanting to marry such an irrational man.
So... make sure Alistair doesn't lose it by not pushing the issue too hard and the chance the reconcile the two comes up. With a bit of careful talking.
Loghain may be dead, but Anora is a pragmatist if nothing else.

I visited The Pearl once just to see what happened. Did the deed, left the room and laughed like crazy when I saw that my whole party was just sitting outside the room waiting for me.
"Yep, darkspawn, archdemon, check. Listen, I need to get my wick dipped, so you cats hang out here while daddy takes care of business. Be with you in a moment."
I sometimes wonder what Bioware was thinking when they allocated stat points to NPC party members. Zevran, whom I just recruited recently, has Lethality, which is all well and good, but he's got higher Strength than Cunning! And he has points in Willpower and Magic of all things!
Why, Bioware? Just. Why?
The bioware toolset is a very passable save game editor. You can open up the save game and reallocate attribute/talent/skills points as you wish. It takes a little cross referencing, but there's already some good resources on how to do it. So far, doing exotic things like giving people abilities they aren't supposed to have doesn't work (eg, mages using non-spell talents, dogs/golems using human talents, non-casters using spells), however, all the mundane stuff works fine.
I switched Sten to a DW fighter through the aforementioned method. It just didn't feel right having him and Oghren take up nearly exactly the same role. I haven't noticed any problems* yet, and it's a good dozen hours in.
*The toolset itself can apparently cause problems though. Bioware has acknowledged that for a small minority, it can apparently corrupt games simply by being installed. Check the Bioware forums before using it.
For those interested, here is a good tutorial on how to respec characters using the toolset. He goes step by step to change Leliana from a Bard Archer to a Duelist Dual-wielder.
This was kinda lost amidst all the posts. Quoting for "can't wait to get home and try it." I like Leliana as a Bard but hate the stupid archery talents. Also, Zevran and the no lockpicking talents. WTF kind of rogue are you, knife-eared nancy-boy?

Damn this game and it's tough choices... Fuck it I can fight the darkspawn without him, I won't let the royal line end so Easily (Thats for my Pragmatic Rogue Playthrough)
Sorry if this build has already been mentioned, but it's a lot of fun and I wanted to share:
Main character: two-hand-wielding warrior, Champion specialization. Get the Two Hand Sweep ability, and max out the Champion spec
Morrigan: frost to Cone of Cold, heal, usual arsenal of crowd control
1. Maneuver into place with Morrigan and freeze as many opponents as possible with Cone of Cold, I've been able to get as many as six at once
2. Charge in with your main character and use the Two Hand Sweep attack (I think that's what it's called). You will usually shatter at least half of the frozen enemies, killing them instantly
3. If there's more enemies or another wave, Mind Blast with Morrigan to stun them all
4. If you still need more crowd control, shout with your main character to knock everyone down
At this point, you should be ready to freeze and shatter again. You can also use the Pommel Attack to sideline a single enemy for a moment, as well as Morrigan's basic freeze attack.
Along with the heal, I'm able to go through much of the content with only these two characters on normal difficulty, just to make things a bit more fun.

As far as I can tell, if you kill Loghain, Anora basically forgives you for it. She's sad and upset, but not out for your blood, and will marry Alistair if you put that idea forward. If you have Alistair kill Loghain, there is no way that Anora will marry Alistair, but you can give her the throne and she won't try to kill you or get revenge or anything. Finally, as far as I know, there is no way to spare Loghain and not have Alistair leave the party. You're basically SOL there.
The first time I played, I spared Loghain, was shocked that there was no way to persuade Alistair from leaving, and reloaded and offed the guy myself. Alistair had all of my best tanking gear and had been my main tank through the entire game. Loosing him (and that gear) was a blow I could not take.
Not all rogues need to be theives. Some are only good for stabbing people. That's actually the kind of rogue I want to make. All talk and daggers. No need for sneaking around.

Seriously. I put him in my party thinking, "Assassin? Shit yes, this is going to rock...wait, NO lockpicking skills? What the fuck?"
How do you even pass Roguery 101 without knowing how to pick a bloody lock?
Still, he was better in battle than Leliana was, and since she wasn't putting out, she could cool her heels in camp for a bit. Just four quick levels got him the lockpicking skills he needed.

When a partymember leaves you get the gear back don't you?
I really wasn't joking about concentrated crow poison.
Also my rogue has no lock picking skills at all, waste of talents that could be spent on being better at killing things. I just took a rogue I don't use and gave them full lock picking and cunning and then I go back through places I've already cleared and unlock everything.

When Alistair left I didn't. I stopped using Morrigan when I got Wynn, so she had the same gear she had had at level 7 or so and I didn't check to see if I still had her stuff. I don't know about anyone else.

There is a plot choice I really want to try out, but it entails losing Shale.
This is a sacrifice I don't think I can stomach
There are a few areas like that that really had me stymied for a while as to which was the proper course of action. I just created a different save file and explored one possibility to its conclusion, then the other, and weighed the outcomes of both to see which I preferred.

After learning of this choice though, making an evil character just sounds very appealing.
