It's a little sad how I have more fun playing the AI on brutal than I do with another player on matchmaking. Of course the AI is rather easy to beat once you get used to it and well...it gets repetative and a little boring always winning against the AI. :?

Geez, I'm just not seeing the DCers as much as you are. But when they're out there, they can wreck a whole nights worth of matches...

Did you know? Action/RTS Metal is a genre.

So I learned a few things from the AI from battling it a zillion times.

    1. The AI never uses the stage lights, atleast in AI practice anyway.
    2. The AI generally just spams tier one units for about six minutes before actually using anything else.
    3. The AI has perfect aim and always hits you with the aiming double teams like the one with the Headsplitter.
    4. The AI rarely uses Agony Boil.
    5. The AI sometimes just spams nuns when playing TC.
    6. The AI is retarded on stages with environmental effects like Altar of Blood, Crucible of the Titans, and the Feeding Area and oftenly gets its troops killed.
    7. The AI has no idea how to use the hierachy system of TC. It'll have a Overblesser, but still make normal nuns and normal warfathers.

You know....it's actually kinda funny seeing the AI use its avatar try to kill a Bleeding Death at their stage and without troops or the stagelight.

    just experienced an annoying glitch.

i was playing against the brutal AI TC vs Ironheade and the ai was using mosh pit, so i chained him. it worked, but when i went to melee him he seemed to break free and attacked me extremely fast, killing me in a second or so (it looked kinda like he picked up a hammer from smash brothers)

just thought I would share that to see if anyone else has experienced this

EDIT: Ive just tested it a couple more times, it is indeed caused by chaining (AI)eddie while he is mosh pitting, not sure if it does the same thing while DT'ing with other units, I'll look into it.

Well the most effective way to break a mosh pit is slip through and attack the avatar, but if they have three or more groups of headbangers then I would advise spamming earthshakers. That would send the headbangers flying and break up the mosh pit.

That glitch sounds hilarious. That Double Team is different from the others. Even Double Teaming with a Razor Girl protects Eddie from Chains. That must be the only Double Team in which Eddie is vulnerable.

Actually In my last match, the AI double teamed with both razor girls and a bouncer and i tried chaining them and it had the exact same effect, it may only work on AI battles, or maybe my game is just screwed up, try it for yourself, I just don't recommend standing anywhere near the AI avatar when you do or you'll probably die. it IS funny as hell to see though.

gonna see if it does this glitch with any drowning doom and tainted coil units, Im thinking it may work with double teams where the avatars feet still touch the ground.

EDIT: also forgot to mention it has a slightly different visual effect. you will see the chains grab the avatar but the ground wont start burning around them, you just see the chains.

Indeed, it doesn't work in Matchmaking or Custom Matches. DTing with any units makes avatars invincible to chains in player controlled games. However, I haven't really tried it on the AIs much because they tend not to DT as much as human players do. For example, I have never really seen Ophelia Frightwig any of my units. Nor have I seen Doviculus toss Kisser Missiles...

Testing that is going to be a bitch, man. Though I wish you good fortune :p

    8. The only weather solo the AI will use is encompassing gloom. They never touch Light of Dawn or Skies Afire.
    9. The AI will never use Anvil of Burden.
    10. The AI will do really, really, REALLY stupid stuff. (See points 1, 5, 6 7 and the "try to kill a bleeding death" bit)

Also, yeah, gonna have to get Spifomie involved in 4 vs 4s. Next time definitely, last time everything went a bit...2vs2ey....

I battled RodTheDestroyer last night, funny match.
My buddies in my party were ragging on him so bad when I told them who I was battling.
They kept saying he heads straight to the Rock Crusher and Roadie spams all the time.
So I knew he had a couple roadies and left some Ratguts at my stage and charged in, blasting his RC with a bunch of broods.
The Roadies still managed to kill a few of my lights though and almost had me worried since he sent a shit ton of them, but I blasted his stage to death with a bride.
He didn't say anything, but my party kept saying he'll never let me win against him again and disconnect everytime we meet.....nothing new.
Theres still a few people who remember me apparently and keep disconnecting during the load screen or first ten seconds of the battle.

No, RodtheDestroyer is a 28/29 that usually will lose the first game you play against him, and when you get paired against him the second time, he'll play the full game, and DC on you when you've got 30% of his stage to go.

He likes to apologize after he does it, as if it's some sort of confession and all is forgiven.

How do I stop a Brood Spam as Iron Heade? My Bouncers are supposed to be Anti Vehicle but they move way too slow to be affective. Broods have too much life for 90 fans. I find the DT with Bouncer to be affective against a brood swarm but like before I move too slow to get my DT into the middle of the group to toss the bouncer. By the time i get in the middle my Bouncers near death! Bouncers really need more life or even better a speed upgrade for them to be worthwhile. How can I compete against a competent TC or DD player in this broken game?

You can mass Bouncers like they mass Broods. It's just much slower. Their Double Team will mess them up badly, since they group together so tightly. Or as they take the Broods attention, dive in and cast Facemelter.

Did that, didnt work. I even mentioned it in my earlier post. The bouncers take too much damage by the time I get them ito the middle of the pack to DT with them. Once I do they do some serious damage but they are so already near death that I can only get off 1 to 2 DT with my group tops. Thunderhogs are out of the question since Broods will shred them up. Bottomline Briutes are too slow to be worth a shit. Wouldnt be having this problem if they moved faster.

Ah. I enjoy playing as Ironheade a bit more because they're bitch-tier now. If you throw in a Thunderhog Double Team perhaps? I'm experimenting with having two Thunderhogs at the same time, one for dive bombing and another for healing. Also, Light of Dawn is key to hitting DD's army late. Other than that, Ironheade is quite fucked.

Also, I've learned the joy of Reaper Double Team. I was riding around in circles for a long time while my infantry attacked the stage.

Upgraded razorgirls are a good way to deal with broods. The upgraded ones have some kinetic energy in their shots, so when you shoot a brood, you knock them backwards and they do like a small spinout, plus since there are 4 of them to a group, it's harder for the broods to focus fire them to death.

upgraded headbangers do a decent job at holding them at bay too. I fought a guy who was spamming nothing but broods (and thankfully, no debuff units) and the headbangers did a fare job. I'd imagine razor girls in the mix would have helped a lot.

bouncers help if the broods are at your stage. let them come to the bouncer, and then you smash them.

Razor girls are generally more useful then headbangers anyway, but I like the headbanger's higher health, and I think they work well with razor girls ( good for absorbing damage and such)

I've had dozens of games before you since I returned...
I seriously hate Altar of Blood though.
I can't use my usual strategy on that stage and the fact that you activate the blood and it's not automatic is annoying.
I don't care what anyone says, Tainted Coil does in fact have a advantage on that stage.
As TC, you can send your spawner units past the pool and to your opponent's stage and just spam endlessly at there.
If your trying to get reinforcements as another faction your opponent can just activate the blood and delay them or if your not careful, kill them.
Sending your troops around the other side takes much longer and you usually have to direct them half the way.
