I know you said you wanted a NES song, but I like this version. With its intro, it's just PERFECT. Seriously, close your eyes and imagine a reception entrance with this playing. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lEti8uugFSE
If you want "ending"-sounding music rather than "beginning"-sounding one, get either the Super Mario Land ending theme or the Super Mario Bros. 3 ending theme (those two themes, for some reason, always really get to me. They've got something, I dunno what, but it gets me, every time).
Personally, I don't count the arcade games in the Contra family. They never felt right to me.
Super C had a NES port. Heck, you linked the music from the first stage in that game. Just sayin'.
Fundamentally, though, they're very different games. The arcade Contras and the NES Contras play very, very differently. Differently enough that I'd call them separate entities. I'm probably the only one that thinks this, and it probably has something to do with the fact that I played the NES ones before the arcade ones.
And an honorable mention goes to Glenn's theme from Chrono Trigger [though it's not really wedding music unless you and your bride are complete badasses]

Hooray for game music at weddings. I put together the music for my ceremony and used (almost exclusively) video game music. It was all orchestrated, more obscure stuff, though, so to the untrained ear it just sounded like purty music.
At the reception, though, I personally wouldn't use anything slow tempo. Granted, you could be going for something entirely different, but we really liked the peppy intro provided us by the Beatles.

Man, I had that game for the TurboGrafx / PC Engine, but I don't recall the music being much to write home about in that version. Maybe I just never got that far...

edit:
MegaMan2 title is my vote.
Well, it is for a wedding... :P
Bonus points if you start it up and then jump through the door at 0:45.

I like the Super Mario Land ending theme. (SMB3 ending is good too.)
Better version [my fav version SNES]
Any version is a winner.

Ah, but he just wants NES tunes, not Super NES.
Anyway, a lot of great selections here. Hard to think of one that's not here.
This was always a neat one, though:

Bayou Billy Theme Song
I can picture it now, everyone shimmying in, busting outrageous dance moves while this song plays in the background.
Thats what weddings are usually like right?
A thousand times this.

Just go find a torrent of it, search through it. There are some fantastic tracks mixed in there and likely some new stuff I haven't even checked out.
Many (if not all) of the tracks listed here are there remixed.
