One thing that does make me happy in this silly game.

Being in catform in the opposing teams flagroom stealthed, seeing their flag spawn grabbing the flag and then making a run to my flag room as my teammates work together to keep me going at top speed and slowing down the opposition.

My proudest moment was when I scored all 3 times for my team in under 10 minutes. (That was one time when I was Pugging BGs.)

I always thank my teammates when this happens. I just love running the flag.

edit: I also enjoy instancing, either with friends or with a pug. As well as duoing with my wife.

An auction immediatly being bought out.

Running into an evenly matched alliance in a contested zone and then having a fierce battle in which you have to use every cooldown to just barely win. A battle you don't /spit after, one you /bow after.

But I never knew about this fucker here, just west of the Orgrimmar entrance. I only spotted him recently when whacking boars with a new weapon.

I missed him the first time, then accidently spotted him while killing guys there next time. I also missed the 'raid on the centaur' guy.

Whenever I start a new character, I try to quest in a new area, or try to walk to places different ways. Of course, there are some hellholes I've learned to stay out of...

Finding all the quests to fix that gnome's machines in Darkshore was fun.

You'd be surprised how rarely they actually check to see if anyone is stealthed on the flag stand. I can't wait to get two more pieces of the pvp armor and get the speed buff. I'll be unstoppable.

Getting you girlfriend to start playing and she becomes an addict. Now she has better gear than I do :D

Being a warrior and suddenly getting heals in a BG. And then seeing that you and just 1 paladin have laid waste to 5 horde. Brilliant.

My first time fighting Rag and seeing that speech with Domo.

Completing my .5 questline. Hardest damn thing to complete. There should be more long, difficult but rewarding chains like that in the game.

A solid :^: and <3 to all of the above.

    Also:

    - Reluctantly joining a PuG (instance or random questing) that turns out to be absolutely godlike because everyone is fun and competent.

    - Great quest chains like The Missing Diplomat or the whole overarching Defias chain in Westfall

    - Sunsets in Westfall

    - Doing speedruns of endgame 5man content with your guild, seeing how much trash you can pull in one go and survive, being silly in Vent at the same time

    - Trolls

    - Gnomes

    - Night Elf corpses

    - Witnissing a Night Elf become a corpse

    - Winning 6 BGs in a row (Yeah, I know you've totally won 486704 BGs in a row this one time, I'm just really happy)

    - The fact that I could have my friend's Paladin of level 34, and not having to go through Westfall and Darkshire for the 358903th time.

The thing to understand is that there's a colossal difference between PvE healing and PvP healing. The former is something I despise, while the latter is my greatest joy in this game. I enjoy being in control of any given battle as much as possible, and being a healer is the most direct route to attaining that. I also enjoy it because I like to spite people, and I believe the enemy is annoyed far more by being unable to kill someone because they have a good healer behind them than they are by being two-shotted by some trinket mage. Winning a skirmish where you are outnumbered 2.5:1 with no deaths, and knowing that your healing is the primary reason for the victory, is far more satisfying than critting some poor sap for 3k+.

Having competent teammates is critical to enjoying PvP healing, though, so I can understand how a lot of people see it as masochistic. They've never seen myself, Munk, and Korv decimate seven Horde at once. They've never seen myself and a single rogue defend the gold mine from four waves of three attackers each, in a fierce and unrelenting three-minute battle. They cannot fathom these feats, but they are all possible, and I am the primary reason for that. That is power. I enjoy power.

I also enjoy healing, thus the reason why i rolled a paladin as an alt. She is pretty nicely geared with a mix of ZG epics'n'blues/T1/T2.

I have a 60 NE priest as well and after rolling a pally i never got back on my priest.

Everytime i was asked to heal my group, no one ever died (unless it was a whipe from a boss nuke :p ).

It's a good feeling to heal and a nice change from just straight up DPSing.

Yes. When they start doing that I just lure them away from the objective, and they usually follow. If they don't, I simply turn around and start healing again. If I'm unable to escape, my friends defend me. Basically, if they attack me, all they're doing is leaving either their objective or their own healers open for assault. Being a distraction is one of a PvP healer's primary functions, because even if they kill you, chances are your team has had time to kill their healer too. I consider that a fair trade, and I tend to measure my performance in a given battle by how much longer I lasted than the enemy's healers. It's rare that I survive to the very end, but I don't mind as long as everyone I was healing stays alive.

    - Someone who actually stuns/fears/etc people off me in PVP when I am healing. Guess who gets a healbot for the rest of the fight?

    - Escorting the 3 new players in my guild around. They are old friends of mine and this is their first MMORPG. Its kind of neat to hear their surprise at how tough Hogger was, or how exciting a new green dagger is.

    - Winning a totally lopsided battle. Three horde, all level 55+, tried to gank myself (51 Priest) and my girlfriend (46 Warrior) in the Searing Gorge the other day. My fear sent them all into various golems, we dropped two, and I mind controled the third. I honestly don't know how we managed to live the whole time.

[Happened to me as a Priestess in RFD]

We were taking on a single group of mobs. It was a full group with varied classes, me being the only healer. In the middle of the fight the lowbie of the group managed to pull the entire next group. Not wanting to give in, we pushed on and we were taking on something like 10-12 mobs.

I was healing like I've never healed before, it was fucking crazy, but my mana started running out. I had already dropped a pot and used all my tricks. I couldn't heal anymore and, worst of all, I had just gotten aggro.

I put up my shield and they start wailing away on me. I have a discipline priest, so my shield lasts a long-ass time :). Just before my shield died, one mob fell and I got just enough XP to ding.

We all survived that amazingly shitty pull. It was the most amazing time I had in WoW and the only time I actually yelled "FUCK YEAH!!!"

    In no particular order:

1.) The first time (in PvP or PvE) that you get that "whoa, I'm kinda powerful" feeling. Whether it's from gear or level.
    2.) Your first 4-digit crit
3.) Mounts, regular AND epic flavor. Seriously, eff walking.
4.) That rare PUG that turns out to be awesome
5.) A friend meeting his (now) girlfriend in WoW, thinking it was creepy, then coming to the realization that it's sorta charming and that she's a pretty cool chick.
6.) Winning a need roll (I don't think I've ever actually won a need roll, so I'm assuming it's good. Usually it's "Metre rolls 8").
7.) Mind controlling people off the zep/ Fort buffing people who jump off the zep. It just doesn't get old.
    8.) Priest/mage slow-fall base jumping
    9.) Snowballs. 'Nuff said.

I could seriously go on for awhile on this one.

I like that despite my guild splitting up into two seperate guilds, I still really enjoy my time with both sides. The fact that these friends have kept me playing for so long is something that makes me really satisfied with WoW.

I signed up for WoW for the experience, but I'm staying for the Azou, Lithid, Unai, Infinityx, Harrogar, Erinyes, Firebert, and all the other people. As much shit as I give them, and that's a lot, they're still great people and good players. That goes with the rest of my old friends. They know who they are.

(read: Not Manos/Doc. He is a piece of shit.)

And yes, winning a /random on some awesome BoE item when 3 other people roll against you is fun. But, in some weird way, looking at the 2nd highest roller's gear and passing it to him feels better.

Also, I love running people through some instances when I know I have leeway to screw around.

On a serious note, I enjoy taking my Rogue into BGs and just destroying other players. Especially other Rogues, who tend to run out of stuns when I'm at about half HP. Once I'm free, it's generally over unless they have a caster or Hunter friend with them. Also, Cloak of Shadows vs. Mages or Warlocks is insanely fun, especially when I have Preparation up. Generally if I'm fighting a group, I can manage to take down 2 or 3 before they overwhelm me, which is nice considering I couldn't do that back before they released the 41-pt talents and I was purely Combat. It got so bad in WSG yesterday that, when we were up 2-0 and we had the flag runner in the middle of the field heading to our base, the Alliance zerg stopped chasing him and all focused on killing me, since I'd picked off all of them at least once sometime in the game. It's fun when other players are so angry with you that they forget all about winning and just want to stab you in the face.

And killing Pallies is the very best thing ever. I love, love, LOVE it.
