When the moron spewing homophobic rants in trade calls himself a twink.
This really caught me off guard when I first started playing. I started to realize that perhaps the term had taken own a new meaning after the fourth or fifth stereotypical frat guy talking about how he spent all his money pimping out his twink for their 20s.
It still makes me giggle. After two years it never fails to get a laugh out of me. And your wording also brought a giggle to my lips. Something about the idea of one twink dressed as a pimp, slapping another twink, while demanding his money. I wonder if I can get them to start calling themselves bottoms....
The BG matchmaking system makes me happy. It hasn't been possible to get such high concentrations of 10 mans to queue against since before the battlegroups were introduced. It's fun to have some competitive organized wsg again.
As long as honor costs don't rise dramatically, I won't miss being able to farm more honor in a premade. 1k+ per hour pugging on a non-weekend is fine with current costs.

When I was playing Asheron's Call, people would talk about twinking their lowbie. These were people from several different areas in the USA, Europe and Australia. It wasn't until after I started playing WoW that I learned what else it refers to.

It well predates the MMORPG scene. And frankly it's a kinda of insult, somewhat like calling a young woman a bimbo. But it's definitly a shot at the person's smarts, which is where the irony of a homophobe taking it as a title makes me giggle. I get that the usage has a differant meaning in MMORPGs. What I suspect happened is someone used it as an insult, the rest of the community didn't get the joke and it spread.
Being a Resto Shaman and being able to solo-heal Heroics. All the while picking up misc. gear I could use for Elemental or Enhancement one day. Yep, 7 epic pieces added to my Elemental farming set.
Standing at the enemy graveyard in WSG and being as annoying as humanly possible, making 2-3 enemies so pissed at me that they forget completely about the objectives and stay at the graveyard and try to go for me instead.
Especially fun if it's a shaman and you keep sapping him from outside of his totem range.
And then kill said shaman and a warrior in one go.
Sap shaman, start on warrior. Shaman joins again; blind him. Blind wears off; vanish and sap again. Kill warrior. Go restealth, give the shaman a new premed CS 5+ evisc asshole.
This is the first time in a long while I grinned like an idiot. There's an added bonus for reaching Revered with the Sha'tari Skyguard besides just the parachute cloaks.
Just beautiful.

So have I just been stupid and not realized that blind is counted as a poison or was that a recent change?

I don't know, but I do know that Rogues hate using Blind on Dwarves.
my favorite is when dwarf priests don't use stoneform when I blind them

Humor can be dissected as a frog can, but dies in the process.
So I'm in area 52 to make a spellcloth and I see a paladin afk at the flight master. So out of boredom I mc and buff him. Then I get to thinking: He's afk, I can fuck with him!
40 yards at a time I moved this paladin from Area 52 to Ecodome Midrealm, I wish I could know what he's thinking when he gets back.

Should have made your spellcloth and MC-tanked the elemental. But that was cool, too.

How did you move this Paladin? I don't know of any ways to move other players.

You mind control him and walk him until he's out of Mind Control's range. Then walk past him to the far edge of MC range and Mind Control him again.

It must have been tempting to throw him into the twisting nether.

Kind of, but I wasn't really feeling like a dick. I just thought it'd be better for him to come back like "What the fuck, how did I get here?" rather than "Fucking ganked argh kill shit blah!"
Plus he was ret, so I feel sorry for him naturally.
One of the tanks in my guild is a female dwarf. She's the mother of my kara RL, and while she was the MT in ZG she hasn't played very often since the expansion so she's OT now.
On a somewhat related and happy note, after the RL took a bio break the other night she asked whether he'd washed his hands or not, and he replied no, so we got to listen to a motherly speech about how important hygiene was, etc. It was pretty funny listening to the RL getting yelled at, especially by his mother :P

I noticed your Resto Shaman is an engineer. I was thinking about leveling a shaman myself and was considering being an engineer as well. How's engineering for Shamans?
Happy and sad at the same time but more happy. Finally learning an alchemy discovery, Flask of Fortification. Wish I could have learned it a few months ago so I could have made some cash off it, but better late then never.
Joining a 3v3 with 2 old friends (all of us are pretty much just raiders) for kicks and going 8-2 in our first week. Healing priest + Shadow priest + Lock = hilarity.
Finally Smiting my way to the "friendly" level Netherwing quests only to discover a repeatable version of the "Lazy Peons" quest. the Booterang.
The other night I was aoe grinding in Death's Door for aldor marks, when I was helped by a nelf priest who apparently needed to do the cannon quest. I thank her, and go on my merry way.
I circuit back to where she was, see the cannon is getting overwhelmed, and worse, she's getting chased by one of the big overseer guys, so I peel him off and take him down. She thanks me and goes back to setup for another run. Since I'm still waiting for respawns, I decide to help her out, and take care of the imp adds while she does the cannon thing.
When she's done she /salutes and then mounts up and flies off. It was a nice change after that nelf rogue tried to kite a couple of extra mobs into my consecration earlier.
Hitting 70 on my Rogue (part deux), and finally being able to run some 5-mans with some of the most experienced bad ass guildies ever. In one run, I witnessed by far the best Paladin Tanking I have ever seen, (evar) and some of the best healing / group cohesion since I've started the game. Guild Runs like the one I mentioned above are why I love this game so god damn much.
Also server-first Lurker kill. The "choose your own adventure" nature of SSC is weird though. Our Alliance competition got Morogrim over the weekend while we were killing Lurker and trying Karathress and ignoring Morogrim because while we used to have eight mages show up to Molten Core, we have one now, and he often has to leave early for night shifts.
I was only at 31 jewelcrafting. Though I managed to powerlevel it to 275 in two days.
The next day, I ran Kara on my warlock, & won the mindblade off of Prince...and I was the only caster (no mages online, & the one we had d/c'd a bit before Prince). ^_^

That was one doomed ship I wasn't going down with.

In one sitting, I just made 170g, not to mention the Bringer of Death dropped. Did I mention I'm on my mage?

just as long as you dont sit AFK in shatt on it (see annoyances) ;-)
But congrats, they do look so awesome

Yes, I like being a rogue.
I only did that a little right when I got it, and some level 62 orc Hunter seemed absolutely enthralled.
So have I just been stupid and not realized that blind is counted as a poison or was that a recent change?

However, you can't cast while blinded, so it doesn't really matter. The exception being bubble and stoneform.
If a shaman or druid is worth their salt they'll cast abolish poison or poison cleansing totem, or try to.
Just beautiful.
The best part was where the second I vanished he started attacking some mob instead. Yeah, thanks for setting up a nice countergank.
Man did I crit and crit and crit and crit and...

That is so awesome. I was really really considering rolling a female dwarf priest, but decided to go with male.
Maybe my alt'll be one.
