Dear Santa,
How's it going? You should know this year has been pretty awesome. I wouldn't say so much that I've been good, but I have been enjoying myself, and that should count for something, right?
I don't think I'm difficult to shop for, but that could be debatable. Anyway, here's my Amazon wishlist to give you some ideas. I currently own a 360, but only a few games (Fallout, Mass Effect, Sega Rally). I'm sorely missing out in action and survival horror games. I tend to stick to single player games mostly, because between work and class, there's not much time for multiplayer gaming these days.
I've also been building up my tabletop games collection (Fluxx, Zombie Fluxx, Munchkin, Dust, Risk 2210, etc). Although there' hasn't been much playing of these games as of late (for aforementioned reasons), but I hope to change that over the break.
My other interests are broad, I like lots of movies and lots of music, and I find it difficult to narrow those things down (if only Pandora and Netflix would allow me to view/share my history).
Well, this letter has gotten pretty long, I'll let you extrapolate what you will and get back to your elves.
I never believed in you. Not once. Not even for a moment. Perhaps it was the idea of a strange bearded man braking into my house at some arbitrary designation and leaving things most likely stolen from someone else's house, maybe it was the 1995 Tim Allen move of the same name, maybe it was all that internet porn in the 90's that desensitized me and stole away my youthful innocence; maybe, it's a bit of all three.
Anyways, Attached is my amazon wishlist. Tis an ever evolving list, I'm adding things to it all the time. Anything on there would be more than sufficient, although there are somethings on there that I don't expect you to get (that $330 Miles Davis collection? yeah, just ignore that). To help make a decision easier for you (or at least narrow things down for you), I love music and I love my xbox live (there's DLC that needs a buyin). Any of the music on there would be dandy, itunes or amazon mp3 gift cards are always handy. Favorite genres are Metal and Classic rock from the 60's and 70's, but the pillows are my favorite band, like, evar.
If none of these things work for you, just send cash to the address you were supplied.
I'm not going to pretend to be thankful for the socks and underwear that you gave me last year. Instead, I will ask you why a seventeen-hundred year old man is buying underwear for young women. Does Mrs. Claus knows about this? Anyways, this is your last chance. If you fail me again I will be going straight to the police.
Since you are some kind of pervy stalker who likes to watch me while I sleep, you probably know all about me already. But, for the sake of formality, here we go.
I am a college student studying Fine Art. I love collecting prints of artwork, especially if its a little bit on the nerdy side. I also collect vinyl toys. Don't get too excited there buddy, it's not what you think. If you google it, (maybe turn on safe search just in case...) you might understand what I mean. It's not just vinyl toys either, I'm a great fan of any cool thing that serves no purpose other than to distract me from my homework for a few hours, regardless of material.
A few of my other loves are Star Wars, Zombies and Futurama. This might sound absolutely cheesy, but the best gift of all is the gift of thoughtfulness, so homemade gifts are 100% appreciated. Well, looks like I've kept you long enough. I suppose I better let you get back to those elves.
Best wishes for the holiday season,
Sumi
P.S. If you buy me underwear again it better be La Perla.
I really appreciate what you do. You're good people. To make things easier for you this year I've created this nice Amazon List for you. As you can see I have tons of stuff on there. I read quite a few books although most of them are in the fantasy/scifi/history genres. There's also a nice selection of movies and other random stuff in there, not to mention all those comic books. I hope that gives you a good amount of ideas.
I should also remind you that I'm Canadian, so you might not be able to ship direct to me from all those websites, although that shouldn't be a problem for you should it
EDIT: Forgot to mention, I have a 360, PS3, and a PC that can run anything just in case you feel like blessing me with a video game.
I have been a good girl this year and I defy anyone to find existing video footage that says otherwise, especially from PAX!
Ahem.
Anyway, that's all water under the bridge, right? Here are some things that I'd like for Christmas.
Let's see - I like reading (SF, fantasy, mystery, some horror), crafts (origami, knitting), science kits (robotics, terrariums, aquariums, electronics), plants (little hydroponic kits for herbs, not "herbs"), kites, anime (Fullmetal Alchemist, RahXePhon, Hayao Miyazaki), general Japanese things (tea paraphenalia, fans, painted silk, etc), steampunk, lights (especially the geekier kinds like Thinkgeek stocks), and computer gadgets.
In fact, here's my Thinkgeek wishlist. I've got a yen to experiment with living things this year, which (vaguely) explains all the plant and animal kits.
I also game, though I'm so behind on playing them that I don't need more. Heck, I haven't even started on Mario & Luigi: Bowser's Story yet! Same with geek t-shirts; I went a little nuts last year on shirt.woot.com and the PA store.
Anything you'd like to bring is fine by me, Santa, even gift certificates to fine geek boutiques (Best Buy).
Merry Christmas,
Audrey

Yo. I've been a really good kid this year. I wore a blue flower and screamed at birds and did a musical number in downtown Seattle. I've also been a really stellar dude and helped out friends at PAX and wore a pink bathrobe and scared little children. It was epic. If I could do it all over again, I would have spent the whole weekend chasing after little children going WAKKA WAKKA WAKKA... but I digress.
You and I are brothers Santa. We are family, just not in the Birdhouse kinda way. I don't look good in drag. If you could make my Christmas awesome by being a stellar stand-up dude and getting me any of the stuff below, or being original if you know me well enough, I would be like uber impressed. Totally.
I would love my secret Santa forever if they got me this
However... If not, I would also love the God Of War Collection for PS3, or one of those Robot dudes from Dragon Quest that's on Squaresoft's shop... or one of those personal music Speaker T-shirt things from Think Geek... either that or anything else you might think of... like a CD or concert ticket or something... I wanna see Epica next year on Valentine's day lawlz .
Thank you!

Dear santa,
I know that I have grown alot in the last few years. (thanks for all those XXL shirts that are way to big) let to record state. I am a L now at the most (I also go for M as long as it is not american apparel) I have had a fun year. I bought a ps3 (you said you would bring me one. and nothing!) So I got a used 60 gig, I am hoping to replay some classics I missed. I also want to try that god of war collection. but I would never use a ps3 card, DLC on that platform is a joke. but I hear Star Trek, and UP on Blu-ray are fun (if i did more blu-rays) Also there is now the new Watchmen movie. But my ps3 mostly just sits around
Which is why I also got an xbox 360. Basically it is really good, I went out and got most of the really good games, AC2, and borderlands, and ODST. I do need to pick up L4D2 soon, and I have been thinking about MW2. I just don't know If i can really enjoy a COD game.
As you know, I am pretty hard to make for. I buy alot of what I want but now-a-days since my injury I have learned how to no longer impulse buy. And now I am actually starting to save money up again.
I think that if you want to hear more from me, send an elf to give me a PM
Boy what a year it's been... My job at Pfizer gets shut down, my job at Circuit City gets shut down, my job with the Census Bureau gets shut down early and I've basically been unemployed since July. But on the other side... I married the woman I love. So all in all, pretty good year.
What I do all day right now is composed of the following: Sleep, Eat, Computer (Surfing & Podcasting), Xbox 360 games, running and substitute teach in Kalamazoo County. (Which involves alot of reading) That's it. So anything that can fit into any of the above would be awesome.
Between trying to graduate, staving off bills from said educational foray, and the occasional resurfacing of H1-Nerd1, there hasn't been much time to consider what someone like me might want for the Christmas holiday. Not that I don't deserve anything (I totally do) but it's just so hard to think when you're sick!
I guess I should start with what I like. Been really getting into my PS3 lately (since I don't have a 360), playing Uncharted 2 and watching my extensive Blu-Ray collection. Don't really have any of the newer games, they're looking pretty awesome though. Playstation Home is eating up my nightlife like you wouldn't believe. Problem is, the better stuff on there costs actual money - if there was some way for you to help me out with that, I'm sure I'd have a lot more fun. I'm also a huge Nerf fanatic, and enjoy peppering my friends, family, and complete strangers with firestorms of darts (pay no attention to their requests that you give me nothing, they're delirious) - any new additions to my arsenal would not go unappreciated (or unused).
If, however, it is beyond your power to help me in those areas, I could always use another tech gadget or cubical-warfare thingamabob from Thinkgeek or Firebox (witty t-shirts/sweaters are a plus, so long as they're XL-sized). Lastly, I'm an absolutely HUGE Star Trek fan, and I like anything, ANYTHING Star-Trek-related, no matter how silly or illogical it may be.
Hopefully my randomly illness-induced ramblings of randomosity have given you a semblance of what I would want this year - a Merry Happy Christmahannukwanzikaa to you, and to all, a good night!
So we meet again, old man. Let's just skip the whole list issue, don't even bother to check it once. I think you know what I know, and what Mrs. Clause doesn't know. If you'd like it to stay that way, I've got some recommendations which might influence me. Check here at Amazon for a general idea - list is in no order whatsoever. I've a 360, a Wii, and a DS. My primary interest currently is board/card gaming. Here's what I already have, expansions to what's on there or new games in the same vein would be appreciated. Should you be inclined to shop for tshirts, I'm a M.
Place gifts in an unmarked bag at the previously agreed upon address, and you'll not hear from me again.

Hey Santas, if you haven't gotten your shopping done yet (like me!), be sure to pick up on this week's crazy internet sales. And don't forget to try and get your gifts in the mail before December 10 to avoid the mad holiday package rush. Also, don't forget to allot extra time if you're shipping a package over the border.

I'm sorry I could not include a note, as I shipped it directly from the Penny Arcade Store.

Yes, I have been provided with the greatest tool ever imagined, no long will doors, robots (Moe might be a robot), lifts, or anything stand in my way.
It should be noted (cough) that people who want games in virtual format (cough) should start looking at their friend requests in places such as Steam so that Santa can actually deliver the goods (cough cough cough).
Just as a general note, you know. People who made requests for Steam goodies should definitely look at the people making friend requests to them, otherwise the goodies cannot be transferred (cough hack cough cough).

I set down Left 4 Dead 2 long enough, mainly to complain about how fucking hard the end of "Swamp Fever" is (seriously? TWO tanks at once?) when I saw a very pointed suggestion about accepting friends on Steam. Then I remembered someone on here had sent me a friend invite a while back, which I had promptly forgotten, probably due to Dragon Age (which I'm about hour 30 out of 300 in to). Some hours later, my phone had greeted me with 2 e-mails, saying I had received this:
Thanks VThornheart. I'm now officially neck deep in games right now. I'll probably tackle these sometime during my Christmas break, or during the half of January I spend overseas, provided they run on my work laptop.

From the Rogue 1995 run: Issues 2 through 4
From the Rogue 2001 run: Issues 1 through 4
From the Rogue 2004 run: Issues 1 through 2, Issue 5, Issue 7 and Issue 12.
I could use any Deadpool comics or books that are not the following:
Dark Reign Deadpool/Thunderbolts (Contains these issues: Thunderbolts 130-131 Deadpool 8-9)
Deadpool Secret Invasion (Contains these issues: Deadpool 1-5)
So I guess I need Deadpool 6 though 7...
Thanks Santa!

Also, xbox live points are certainly welcome. XD
You are awesome! I got this cool present:
But... you didn't leave me a note, so now I can't thank you properly! Ack!
Sincerely,
Darc
I'm very glad you are enjoying your Merch hat. Please make sure to buy lots of things so that the hat does not turn into a FleashReaper and eat your soul.
I'm sorry I could not include a note, as I shipped it directly from the Penny Arcade Store.
Sincerely,
Santa
:-P
You have provided me an adequate weapon to destroy Moe with, in fact you have sent me the best possible weapon to battle the monster of tech known as Moe Fwackey.
Yes, I have been provided with the greatest tool ever imagined, no long will doors, robots (Moe might be a robot), lifts, or anything stand in my way.
Muahahahahaha
Thank youuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuu

Just as a general note, you know. People who made requests for Steam goodies should definitely look at the people making friend requests to them, otherwise the goodies cannot be transferred (cough hack cough cough).
I agree with all that. Especially the coughing. I actually just asked Moe for the email address for my person cause I don't think he has Steam installed...

As you can see, my cat is already curious. I opened the box to find...
Woo! Thanks Santa (CaptainTapole)!
Thanks VThornheart. I'm now officially neck deep in games right now. I'll probably tackle these sometime during my Christmas break, or during the half of January I spend overseas, provided they run on my work laptop.
Good thing about old games is that they probably will
