Does anyone else consistently take out UAVs? ...because i certainly do. Having enemy positions in your radar is such a huge advantage.
God yes. Now that I finally unlocked the stinger last night, aint nobody using any form of a kill streak reward when I'm around.
Stinger? Pah! A single mag from a SCAR will destroy a UAV. Those things are weak.
edit: UAVs are Predator drones. Skinny little planes.
I'm lugging around the damned Stinger all the time, might as well use it.
I only pull my AA build out for Helis and above.
Do AC130s drop flares immediately when you lock on or when the missile reaches it? I haven't been able to test it out because shooting those things down is a bitch with the amount of flares they drop.

Hah the majority of my builds have an AA weapon for secondary. I just wait to see the flares deploy(from someone else shooting at it) wait a second and then fire. That usually takes it out no problem.

No, I am not really communist. Yes, it is weird that I use this name.
So I know someone was mentioning earlier, but I think i love Chopper Gunner now. Doing Terminal last night, started out eating bullets, then I got a 5-kill streak; popped a sentry gun, then dropped a supply crate which had chopper gunner. Proceeded to kill everything on the map, nobody on the opposing team though to switch to an AA build. Went from a pretty lame 0-4 midgame to ending at 28-5. Which for me is monumental, considering how badly I've taken to adjusting to the game.
On the flip side, I'm always changing to an AA build now whenever the opposing team has air superiority. Doesn't last for long and I never tire of seeing a Harrier or chopper go down in flames.
By the way it sounds like the trojan issue that was mentioned a few pages ago is confirmed to be a false positive that is unique to Avira antivirus software.
Sleight of hand is awesome for the pro version, which makes you aim down the sights faster. On Team Deathmatch I always have it on. My build, for those that may suck and wish to get better, depends on the gametype. For non hardcore modes:
M16 (if you aren't high enough and don't have it, the SCAR-H)
Stinger Missle
Sleight of Hand Pro
Stopping Power Pro
Steady Aim Pro
For Hardcore modes: (Hardcore search and destroy is the best EVAR)
m16 bling- silencer and holographic
One Man Army or Stinger
One Man Army or Bling
Hardline or ColdBlooded
Ninja
Seriously, for those of you that don't play Hardcore S&D, you need to.

Reading those IW forums makes me want to die.
Which is why it's always a good idea to get confirmation first before flying off the handle in indignation at a problem that doesn't exist.
Here's how the game winning killcam went:
1. Pick my throwing knife up off a dead body.
2. Rush through the broken wall behind the tin building.
3. Knife the guy with his back turned on me.
4. Kill the guy halfway up the steps with a throwing knife.
5. Take one shot at the guy who just turned the corner towards me, killing him with a headshot.
6. Listen to the crying after the game.
Hello happy.
Try swapping out the sniper rifle with the riot shield. You don't have to use it, but having it on your back will stop bullets and can make the difference making it to cover or dying.
Seriously, for those of you that don't play Hardcore S&D, you need to.
So you can be camped to death and killed by a half dozen guys dressed like a bush :P
For the children like Strat that can't handle A MANS gametype, sure.
A mans gametype? PAH! Snipers are the biggest pussies of the fight. Real men grab a single shot FAL with a throwing knife, and rock the fuck out of a normal TDM game! You pansy men and your automatics, and your sniper rifles and ghillie suits bow before me and my giant wang of destruction.
we need to play

It's incredibly hard to see most people
Normally I walk forward and the only time I notice and go "oh" is in the killcam

that'll slow you down waaaayyy too much for the knives to be effective at all. I always stick with an SMG cause I'm afraid the bigger guns may slow you down as well (though I haven't bothered to really test that)
I don't wanna brag or nothing, but man I am getting pretty good with the throwing knife in HC. I've been forcing myself to use it as often as possible and I've been getting some pretty good kills with it.
It seemed sort of daunting and impossible at first because there's no crosshairs in HC but with a couple night's practice, it's become just like hip-firing in HC with no reticule. Just instincts and intuition and lots and lots of good old fashioned LUCK.
Sorry about last night, JoshGoto. Some work buddies and I all hooked up and got into a party for a couple of hours, so when your invites came in I wasn't in a position to leave the games I was in. If 'twere any night when I was playing random pubs, I'd have joined in.

I want to try making a 'mobile sniper' build by using the FAL (I think. It's the semi-auto assault rifle) with a thermal scope and some random, appropriate perks. The idea being that if you have the thermal sensor, It's pretty much *only* good for long-range stuff, and the FAL is accurate enough to make that sort of distance work.
Drop down in one place, see what shows up on the thermals, tag a few targets and then move.
Thoughts?

Does the M16 make the FAMAS irrelevant? It has the same stats except damage is much higher.

I played Ninja last night on the sub base level.
Jumped down behind three of them. Killed one with my Silenced USP, another turned around to get me when his buddy went down so I knifed him, and a third was too far out in front to knife so I nailed him with a knife.
Baker was sneaking up to take them out and could only watch me jump down from the rafters and ninja all three.

Those "stats" are bullshit. I've found that the FAMAS is much more reliable at getting one-burst kills. Maybe the M16 has a wider spread or something with its burst.

Does Cold-Blooded make the AI harriers and helicopters not shoot at you?

Are you sure about that? As long as it is not equipped it should not affect your running speed.

is there any chance someone will hack some game files and find out what the actual stats are? or someone doing some testing?
edit my googling turned up nothing.

It's true. Even when it's on your back, it slows you WAYYYYYY down compared to SMGs or snipers.

I haven't tested but it feels slower for me. I never use Lightweight so that can't be the reason for the difference.

But when you're lugging a stinger around with the scavenger perk, might as well take the most effective route of disposal.

I'm running the terretories game mode (I forget what it's called) with the score and the time turned off, and i'm leaving it on.
The game is automaticly giving me ten points every five seconds.

Yup you are invisible to air support. You also wont get the big red box over you when someone calls in the predator/ac-130/chopper gunner.
