No no one ignores the shield user because if he gets within grenade range if he's not a total tool he's going to instantly kill one of you.
We must be playing a totally different game then, because every shield user encounter goes like this: "Oh look a shield. Hey look, dudes without shields." BLAM! Kill dudes without shields, everyone focus fires shield user, he takes a bullet then dies.
Or every shield user I've encountered are indeed tools, because I've only ever seen them attempt to shield bash.

To be fair they're likely trying to get Smasher, which requires you to have three riot shield kills in a row without dying.
How a Riot Shielder kills:
Equipment, primarily.
Or his secondary weapon (a magnum is fantastic for this, as it is semi-auto, powerful, and can kill quickly without stopping power).

The instinctual desire for one player to go left and the other to go right when confronted with a shield user is so quick that I will basically refuse to pick one up off a dead body, because it never did that guy any good, either.

Maybe it's me, but when you have the shield on your back, does it seem like it's catching bullets on the corners and bouncing them directly into you? Potentially even having the bullet penetrate once, bounce off, and go through you again? Because I seem to die much faster when I have a shield on my back than on any other classes.

Worst situation where a guy with a shield got me was inside the airplane. He cornered me in the cockpit then smacked me to death. That airplane is the perfect place for a shield to be used, as is any narrow, hall way like area.

The first rocket launcher is a good one shot that can lock onto vehicles to kill... uh... uavs maybe, and can shoot anywhere without a lockon for noobtubing.

Ignore anything bigger than a UAV because you'll only get the killing shot about 1 in 20 times otherwise. I don't know why the shittastic AT4 is even in the game.

If you're going to make a PC user sit in a fucking matchmaking lobby, I don't understand why you wouldn't give them the benefit of a text chat. We're on a PC. We could debate the ineptitude of political parties or you know..wangs.
And yes, this is epeen. Because I'm back baby! ACR is almost broken in terms of being overpowered. Also, the map was Derail. Don't let anyone say that map isn't fun.
Got some nice new title, I believe for killing the entire enemy team (all six before they left) with one shot from the AC130.
What really brings things into perspective though is that even on the PS3, my score rank just from being inactive for even one hour drops by one hundred thousand.
If anyone is going to be guessing the sales of the game, the leaderboards should provide a good clue. It's in the 2-3 million bracket for just the PS3 right now.

Well it's like, even with Danger Close it won't even kill a Harrier.
Which is retarded, because I can shoot one down with my assault rifle faster than using an AT-4, dying, then using it again.

Rather the shear frustration of trying to get a party of 5 mixed northern european players into the same matches.

What platform was this on? 360, PC or PS3?
Mind you, from a technical standpoint there isn't any real difference between the three for the netcode.
My dad bought MW2, with some irony i'll be nabbing it from him to play it when I unbox the 360 after moving. Not online though, the day I pay to play online when the players themselves host the games is the day that I dress up as a ballerina and perform swan lake in a one man show.

We had some weird ass issues, like it splitting us into different games, leaving people behind from the party, immediately migrating host after it had already done it, all sorts.

I'm pretty sure this is happening to everyone that isn't living in the US. Possibly just everyone. Good fucking luck setting up a match with a party of 9 for ground war. I live in Canada and I don't even bother if my friends want to try that. I'll just go play with a smaller party or by myself because it's going to be at the very least 5-10 minutes just getting into a game.
I dislike Vent and a lot of voice chat because some people never shut up and/or stop trying to be "funny."
On the flipside, alltalk for some maps is the best thing. I'd imagine it would be super great for MW2 aswell, taunting people from the cockpit of a chopper or whatever. But OH NO IT CANT BE DONE
