"Hawktown" in today's comic?

Was it mere coincidence, or was Tony Hawk's funky punch, in today's/ comic, an allusion to the kool-aid at Jonestown (as today marks the 31st anniversary of the JonesTown massacre)?

I've had it on the brain, as my name is James Jones, as is my father's, and his birthday, coincidentally, is today.

    I would be surprised if they weren't aware of the relevance of the date, given that they trawl all sorts of sites for ideas.

    The last time this anniversary rolled around the comic was about a mass suicide with Gabe and his garden gnomes. So this is getting to be something of a tradition.

    It's rather funny (and a bit odd) that Penny Arcade keeps tabs on the Jonestown massacre.
