Headphones in Canada

I'm looking to buy an entry level audiophile set of headphones as a Christmas gift, but I can't find a decent place to shop for these in Canada. As well, the person I'm getting these for doesn't like sound leakage so they'll have to be a closed aural set.
Question 1: Where can I order a decent set of headphones in Canada without a crazy markup on them?
Question 2: Since I'm limited to closed aural, what are my options for something that sounds decent in the $100-200 range?

I take it you're ruling out Future Shop and Best Buy?

I suppose NCIX may have something.

Best Buy is 90% Skullcandies and Sony, which I find a bit bass heavy.
Futureshop has some Senns, but the markup on them is pretty nasty.
NCIX has a somewhat decent selection, but charges way too much for them.

If you're in western canada, you could try London Drugs, and I think New Egg finally has a Canadian site.

Where are you in Canada? Do you have to order online? Depending on your city there are several stores you can check out.

Regardless of locaction, check out your local Long & McQuade. Their website is an abomination (your shopping cart will never actually load), but they're a decent place to buy good headphones. They tend to focus on studio phones, but those are probably what you want if you're interested in only sound and not size.

I'm in North Bay Ontario at the moment, so ordering online is pretty much my only option to not get completely shafted price wise.

I really don't know what's up with quality headphones in Canada, there's some bullshit going on. There was another headphone recommandation thread not too long ago here and I had a hard time finding a good place to purchase what was suggested.

Amazon.ca did not sell these headphones
Amazon.com had these headphones in stock but would not ship them to Canada (even though most stuff on amazon.com can be shipped to Canada)
Other stores I looked at mostly didn't have these headphones or they were much more expensive, something like a 50% markup or more.

I bought a pair of AudioTechnica A500s from AudioCubes and didn't get beaten brutally for price or shipping (though this was a couple of years ago).

they're a bit more expensive now than they were but still not horrible. Depends on your price point, I guess.

The Source carries Sennheiser. Their pricing is not great though.

Amazon.ca does carry some Sennheiser stuff, and their pricing is okay. Very, very limited selection though. Will you be in a larger city before Christmas? Toronto has buckets of music stores that I'm certain carry decent headphones (12th Fret, Long&McQuade).
