Dino Crisis was awesome. It did to the RE series what the Dawn of the Dead remake did to the original.
No more slow, shambling zombies that you can pop off at a distance at your leisure. No, no, no, now you're fighting velociraptors and shit. And they run at you.
Also, first survival horror game to use 3D environments instead of pre-rendered.

Game's a milestone doggies.
Until they whipped out Dino Crisis 3, IN SPACE! With a jetpack and a crappy camera.
Dino Crisis was an interesting departure from standard survival horror at the time. Instead of fighting ghosts or zombies or creatures of the sort, you were pitted against dinosaurs. The game is also interesting from a technical standpoint, as it was the first survival horror game to take the standard pre-rendered environments and replace them with 3D ones. Also, the main character Regina could ready her weapon and walk at the same time, which meant that you were much more agile then main characters in other horror games. This was important, since the Dinosaurs you faced in the game were much quicker and more aggressive than your standard zombie.
The game tasks you with investigating a mysterious island, upon which experiments in an alternative energy source are taking place. once there, you notice that there are dinosaurs on the island. Dinosaurs generally eat people when they see them, and Dino Crisis is no different.
A sequel was released on the PS1 that reverted to the older pre-rendered environments, and had a more arcade-like feel to it. A second sequel was released but it sucks and is completely unrelated to the first two and the less said about it the better.
Plenty of worse ways to spend $6. It's pretty much Resident Evil with Dinosaurs, but it's a little more fast-paced I guess.
As someone who actually quite disliked the game when I first played it, I would definitely say it is worth $6 due to the sheer hilarity of being afraid of every window.
Didn't someone already post that comic?
Would it scarier if I came in through the door or something?
Yes, it's a really good game and if it were available on the PSN here, I'd buy it despite still owning the PS1 version. It's not as good as Dino Crisis 2 though, which was essentially a precursor to Devil May Cry.
Also, why would Sony possibly charge for Eye of Indra? I guess they got a couple of dollars out of it before someone uploaded it to Youtube but it still seems pretty silly.
I've updated the OP again with all the IDs I've seen so far. If I missed your post in the thread, please PM me about it (Since if I missed it, I'm obviously not following close enough!).
As a question to you guys, should there be anything else added to the OP by this point? Or is it pretty good as is?

Boldening the headings in the update would make things a little easier to read. Otherwise it looks fine.

Couldn't they make a copyright claim to take it down?

Maybe a shortlist of categories for what would be Highly Recommended, Maybe and Total Duds. Sure, it's highly subjective, but I think there's a few games in all categories that we could all agree belong there.
And maybe a link to a thread showing how to create a Japanese PSN ID, as there's some cool free stuff you can get from there like the Afrika Dynamic theme (free!) and various demos.
I've gone ahead and added two guides to the OP for making a Japanese PSN. The first is a video which is honestly the best one I could find on youtube, which isn't saying much. The second is one I typed up from consulting said video and the notes I made when I made mine. (Since I can't find the video I used back then.) If you guys think the text guide should be spoilered too, let me know.
I'll try to make up a list of the Good, the Bad, and the Rest at some point, but admittedly, I don't know much outside of the ones we probably all know about. (PixelJunks, Pain, Fat Princess, etc.) If you guys want to give your impressions on maybe the lesser known or lesser talked about titles out there, as long as you're not super-biased (IE, if you enjoy it, but doubt others would, as long as you can recognize that and vice versa) then feel free to let us know.
And I'll go ahead and add a "PSP Only" section for IDs, too. It won't be as populated, but if you've only got a PSP, but do X-Link Kai or play (More appropriately, create for) LBP PSP or do something that doesn't require a PS3, then, hey you still need to get connected with others too. This is a PSN thread after all.

I think a Good list would be fine by itself, since there's probably going to be a lot of games in the other two. Then maybe an Upcoming list with estimated release dates?
Also, just a bit of tidying up in the OP would be great. Just try mess around with it so it doesn't look as messy. If I were doing it, it'd probably have the JPSN guide in spoiler tags down the bottom, with the Update info (from the US and EU) in the middle. Then I'd have the important stuff (sales, downloadable games and ps1 games) unspoilered, with some notable JPN recent releases too (like the Valkyria Chronicles 2 PSP demo that went up a 2-3 weeks back). Like I said, mess around with it a bit.
I don't tend to go spend crazy on the PSN store, but I can at least provide my own feedback on the stuff I got and my opinions. Wall of text incoming...
Crash Commando: Picked it up late in December of last year, when there wasn't a whole lot amazing games and the PS3 was just then coming out with great games (besides MGS4) like LBP. It seemed like a fun game, and the controls are pretty easy. I didn't really go online too much with it and I don't know if there's still a strong online community for it right now. I'd say this is a maybe if you like simple multiplayer wargames.
Flow: Was not terribly impressed with the game myself. Interesting is how I'd first describe it, but after the first creature or two, there's little to the game beyond repetition. Maybe with consideration that it evolved into...
Flower: Now this is an impressive game. Similar control mechanics as it's predecessor and has vast improvements on everything else. The music is very emotional, the visuals are vibrant, and after the first time you complete the game, if you don't feel something, then you just don't feel, at all. Highly recommended unless you've somehow killed your emotions or don't want to seem sensitive in front of anyone else in the room.
Brain Challenge: Like all those brain games, I can't say for sure if I've noticed any improvement in how I think as I practice on the areas that I don't do so well at, but it's quick edutainment if you have kids around. Provides a daily increase of your brain usage, whatever that means. You'll never be able to 100% all the trophies unless they fixed one of the games. I would give this a maybe, but I would avoid purchasing the additional DLC. It adds a couple of games that don't really count towards the game's main goal of teaching you to use more of your brain.
Fat Princess: I mean, really. Does anything need to be said about this? Must buy if you like CTF (capture the fatty) in cute dwarfish mode. Who needs realism like KZ2 and MW2?
Rag Doll Kung-Fu: I was personally expecting this to be similar to Super Smash Bros. Melee, and it is, kind of... not really. It's sort of fun if you can get friends over to play, but in all honestly, other fighting games do a better job, and probably have online multiplayer. Pass on this.
PAIN: Entertaining the first couple of times you play. The challenges in the game are legitimately difficult, so people who are down with that might find something to like here. It's good for a laugh or two if you're by yourself, or drunk with friends, but the novelty wears off kind of quickly. The DLCs extend the fun by a bit to give you new challenges, but this game is a whole big pile of not worth it, unless you're looking for something challenging to do, or you wanna throw the Hoff, Andy Dick, Flava Flav or Fat Princess against the wall a bunch of times. Keep in mind Hoff, Flava and Andy Dick are paid DLC characters, as are like, 90% of the game's personalities. This seriously gives it negative points as far as value in a game goes.
Trine: Unique puzzle-platformer in the same vein as Vikings from years ago. Local co-op is a plus, no online multiplayer which I feel doesn't really subtract from the enjoyment of the game at all. It's a full game, spanning several hours with additional challenge added once you beat it the first time. I would give this a recommendation.
PAA:OtRSPoD 1&2: RPG. Great classic PA humour, combat controls very reminiscent of Super Mario RPG (a good thing) and actually provides a good challenge. The episodes are a bit short-feeling, and sadly little replay value. The real crime is that Episode 3 isn't out yet. I hate to do this but it's a maybe for now, with the caveat that once Ep. 3 is out, it'll likely see a bundle price and should be totally worth it by then.
Or if you just don't want to read all of that, point form yes, no, maybe ahead.
Crash Commando:Maybe Flow: Maybe Flower: Fuck yes Brain Challenge: Maybe, DLC: Fuck no Fat Princess: OMG Yes Rag Doll Kung-Fu: Hell no PAIN: Maybe for die-hards looking for challenge, otherwise, no way. Trine: Thumbs up PAA: OtRSPoD 1&2: Maybe, for now, since there are other decent RPGs out and on the way, but when Episode 3 comes out, get them all, preferably as a bundle.
I wonder if Sony is able to put up the Tomba games on PSN. If I recall correctly they published it but Tomba 2 bombing at retail killed off Whoopee Camp.
Been trying to download a video off of it on my PSP. It just sits at the "Activating..." message, and never actually does anything, even if I let it sit overnight. Tried reactivating it via the System Activation option, but that doesn't seem to do anything.
Heard that you can download stuff via that MediaGo program, so I hunted it down and tried to install it. Every time I try to run the setup program, I get a "Unable to write to the temp directory" error, and it never installs. (In Win7, I should say.)

peggle/zuma/bejeweled 2 - popcap games... i love them and i love playing them on my ps3. hopefully you are familiar enough with popcap games to know if this is something you would be into. a little expensive, but i have no regrets.
gunstar heroes - its cheap, and you can play online co-op. awesome.
wolfenstein 3d - this is a barebones port of the very first wolf3d game. i have a huge nostalgic soft spot for this game, and 100%d the trophies and everything. had a blast. if you do not share this nostalgia its probably not worth buying.
super street fighter 2 turbo hd - incredible fighting game, really good netcode... whats not to love? you probably know if this is something youre interested in already.
marvel vs capcom 2 - see ssf2thd
critter crunch - really damn good puzzle game in the vein of magical drop/money idol exchanger. beautiful hand painted 2d art, also. buy this!
zen pinball - probably the best virtual pinball game ive played. really fun, and good tables.
i like the zen pinball demo, but i feel like i wouldn't really get all that much out of the full version, i'm okay with just playing the demo table for a few minutes every couple weeks
Playing the Comet Crash demo, it's pretty cool, and a neat twist on tower defense games. Not only does it let you make a path with your turrets, it's competetive, you have to try and destroy the enemy base while defending your own.

Also, Dino Crisis? When I joined the backlog challenge? RAHR
I liked Dino Crisis back then, but I dunno if I would now. It's hard to go back to tank controls.
Rest of the update is meh.
But not enough to pay 10 bucks for it.

Flower is artsy bullshit but I'm pretty much alone in this one.
It's been retarding up since MW2 was released. Sometimes it can take 10+ attempts before it syncs, which is a pain in the ass.
My guess is the retrieval of all your friends' trophy information, which I believe it does at the same time it's retrieving yours.
