Playstation Store - NA: Valkyria Chronicles 2, Castle Crash PAL: Alien Breed, FM3
About 3 years ago I split the cost of a ps3 with a roommate. I moved out and he got the ps3. Fast forward to a couple months ago and now I own my very own ps3 again. I import the account I had on the first ps3. Now I'm trying to buy shit and I can't. The store tells me I have insufficient funds in my wallet.
I google search wallet, and the google says I can add funds by going to PSN network -> account management -> Transaction management -> [Add funds]
.... except there's no option listed to add funds.
I read online that there are sub accounts and main accounts. This confuses me. How then do I create a main account so that I can give sony my money?
Interesting. So your account was a sub-account of your roommates account? If so then you'll have to create a new account by making a new User Account and then going to the PSN icon and creating an entirely new PSN account.
That seemed to take care of it, thanks.
Goddammit sony why must you make it hard for me to give you money?
That's sweet. I always wanted to play Vagrant Story, but never got around to it.
Isn't the combat system supposed to be ridiculously hard/broken, though?
It's a system that the game doesn't adequately explain (within itself or the accompanying manuals). You can pretty easily put yourself in a situation where you're only doing 1 damage per hit on enemies, which means chaining hundreds of abilities to kill one thing.
If you get a solid grasp of how things actually work (you'll need some sort of outside help), then the difficulty of the game is a decent challenge, but nothing too punishing.

I've never played Gunbird 2, but I hear it's good and I'm always up for a good portable shmup.
Looking forward to seeing what's in the update today and next Tuesday (early because of the holiday). I'm really hoping the PSP version of the new Pac-Man: CE shows up since the phone version came out last week. Also, it looks like Vagrant Story & FF8 could both be coming very soon (Vagrant Story is already confirmed for next week in the UK, still waiting on US confirmation).
I would imagine a big update next week would be in everybody's best interests for all of the new PSP owners as well as existing PSP owners who get cash or PSN cards for Christmas. Come on Square-Enix's back catalog and sales!
Echoes & Blast Off are both good and only $3 each. I hear the PSP Mini version of Tetris is one of the better versions of the game and worth the $10 if you're a fan.

Portable Ops and the demo for Peace Walker? Well Played, Kojima.
Also, FFVIII for those of you who didn't already go search for it.
So, somebody want to clear something up for me (and everyone else)?
Metal Gear Solid: Portable Ops Plus is the Multiplayer Expansion to PO. I was under the impression that it was Infrastructure Online. Are the servers for that still up and running, then? Or is buying PO+ just asking Konami to take your money and then punch you in the dick? (Just in terms of whether you'll be able to play it or not)
I never played it back in the day, but I've heard so many good things about it. I'll definitely grab it if it comes to PSN US. If not, is there any way to make an EU PSN account and download it, sort of like how you can create a Japanese account on the 360 and download JP exclusive demos?
Man, that GT5 demo was kinda...shitty. Terrible looking crowds, graphics in general didn't seem that much to look at, and it's just driving in circles without competing cars. I can see this unselling a lot of people.
Dirty rumor going around is that the PSN version of Ridge Racer (the PSP version, not the PS1 version) has a few framerate issues. Can anyone verify? I've got it on UMD and I wouldn't buy it anyway (I'm planning on importing Ridge Racer 2 since it's pretty much the exact same game with more cars and tracks), but I am curious to see if there is another instance of a PSN version being inferior to the UMD version in terms of framerate (looking at you, Rockstar).
Oooh, price drop on Chinatown Wars, nice. I'm planning on getting that come the next payday, so that's 10 bucks saved. Awesome game, I played it on the DS and it's the best GTA ever made.
The more important news is that holy shit Crash Team Racing, the best kart racer ever, is out on PS1 Classics.
Has it been confirmed for next week on the US PSN? Or have you mixed up the PAL price drop with the US Update? Cause it's been on our PSN for over 2 years.
Anyway, I'll probably pick up Vagrant Story on Tuesday and FFVIII in early January when it comes out on our store.

It's been a while since I've played it, but I remember it being a slow paced, non-automated version of FF12's battle system.
PSN: SirGrinchX
Oculus Rift: Sir_Grinch
I did find it oddly slow to get from the main menu to the track though.

As if PM Studios weren't awesome enough for bringing over DJ MAX.

Completely agree. CTR was so fucking awesome. Gonna have to get it, along with fFVIII

I still have my hilariously old PS1 saves of FFVIII. I never actually beat the game. Could the PS1 saves be used with the PSN version?
I spent a shitton of time back in the day but litterally stopped RIGHT before you go into the Lunatic Pandora.
