I also caught the final boss of the Predator Campaign. I'd be annoyed at being spoiled, but let face it.... I was pretty certain what the last boss would be and it turns out my prediction was right.
Danny MOTHERFUCKIN Glover?
fixed that for you.
Ah. So I'm not the only one who's seen the last boss.
:P

hahah, am i going to have to not visit here anymore for fear of spoilers?
So I enjoy pred much more then marines. First time playing I got in a game against 2 aliens who decided to team up with each other against the only other player me. They got raped, 20 kills me to 4 kills them.
The disk thing is insane, I didn't know I had other weapons other then fists of steel until I had found the disk. The disk... mmm the disk.
apparently some wal-marts already have avp on store shelves.
according to the steam forums
hrmmm, might have to check my wal-mart but they wouldn't let me buy the new Ace Attorney game earlier this week due to street date, so I'd probably get bricked at the checkout.
I've watched a lot of the campaigns being played and it's absolutely hilarious how you can just block and then kill the CPU controlled Aliens.
Especially as the Predator it's just "block-grab,block-grab".
I don't even know why they let the marine block alien attacks. Doesn't seem right. Whatever you use to block would be shredded to pieces by those sharp claws.
So is this game as scary-as-f**k as the original one was? or is it more of a traditional FPS?
I would say it's a mixed bag.
The marine campaign has some nice scares and the Aliens move so "realistically" that they REALLY creep you out. As usual, the biggest tension comes from the motion detector.
Sadly the campaign kinda falls apart a bit from the middle and becomes a bit of a "block and shoot stupid aliens" game.
I just tried out Marines/Humans/Whatevers and hate the muzzle flash. It practically blinds me. How the hell am I suppose to shoot something I can barely see in the first place when I have a muzzle flash blinding me?
I just got an entire room to work against me because I kept killing everything. I had 20 kills and the 2nd closest in a room of 6 had only 3 kills. I backpedaled for a full 20 seconds unloading on everyone running after me. That was the first time I've ever run outta ammo as a marine
Sev: Your gameplay is the most heavily yomi based around. Usually you look for characters that allow you to force guessing situations for big dmg. Even if the guess is mathematically nowhere near in your favor lol. You're happiest when you have either a 50/50, 33/33/33 or even a 75/25 situation to go crazy with. And you will take big risks to force those situations to come up.
So about that "Hunter Edition"... anyone know when Amazon is gonna email about when it's available, or do I have to go down to Best Buy and hope they are getting that in?
Oh man, I just got done playing the demo for the first time. And I'm blown away. It's a lot of fun and makes me love this AvP sort of thing all over again. Especially after the abomination that the movies were
Meh. After reading that, I'm convinced he really didn't explore the controls, or play the alien with auto-transition on. I mean, he says he felt better playing the alien on the floor. I'm sure Morninglord could enlighten him on the myriad ways a xeno can traverse the terrain.
I'm not a fan of reviews in general, but I have absolutely no intention of buying this for the singleplayer. I guess I value the multiplayer experience, which has already proved itself to me, much more than the reviewer.

Fuck... FUCK! 50 bucks down the drain. Gamespot is always relatively spot on, give or take a point.
Did you play the demo?

Yeah, and I liked it a lot, so we'll see. A 5.5 is horrible though.
Yeah, me too. And that's why I'm still buying. Also as was stated earlier by myself and jdarksun, the guy makes some weird statements that makes me disbelieve the tone of the reviewer.

wouldn't have expected that in an AVP game.

Anyone up for survival on launch day?

PC or console?
Cause I might be up for it on PC when I get off work, about 7 pm Central.

Still fun though.
Everything son.
With a 100 bullet clip you shoot everything.
PC, whoo
...now to rip the shit outta some Predators.
Can't wait to play this game.
I wonder if anyone still plays it?

Gamespot hated it.
Ugh, I was considering picking this up since multi seems to have potential but this doesn't bode well...
