    I failed at getting into bed before like 6am and I had to wake up at 10 so now I'm gonna be tired all day at work.

    We got a new swanky toaster oven as a wedding gift and I tried to make toast in it yesterday, and I guess you need to take a special class or something. I miss just pushing down a lever.

    I was in Montreal for a school trip in college with a bunch of building science teachers and a big chunk of the roof of the Olympic Stadium fell off right in front of us. We took it home with us.

    I got an e-mail from one of my professors this morning telling me that I had "racked up enough absences and thereby failed the class." We have a week of school left after Thanksgiving break.

    In the e-mail (and subsequent "grading sheet" he sent with it) my last name was spelled VERY wrong, so I told him that he must've gotten me mixed up with another student. This is all compounded by the fact that it's the Vice-Chair of my department...that I've been in and working with for five years. Results to follow.

    Did the professor state attendance was required at the beginning of the quarter/semester and in the syllabus? I don't really understand this "Oh you have too many absences you fail"-stuff, most of the courses I took in college didn't care about attendance at all.

    It's a smaller class, (About 15-20 students) and he never explicitly said "Attendance matters." The University has a policy regarding absences so that's what he's going from, and we do lots of in-class projects...but I guess I just missed one too many. Oh well, que sera sera. At least I'll have a head-start when I take it next semester!
