My google-fu is failing me. I'm looking for a quote.
I thought this was George Bernard Shaw, but it may not be.
Some popular writer was asked what advice he would give prospective writers. The advice was "read Anna Karenina." When asked "any other advice?" The answer was "read Anna Karenina again." I've read this quote multiple times but I can't find it via google and I can't exactly remember who said it or where I read it.
Maybe it was Vonnegut. I don't know. I can't remember.
The only reference I can find attributes it to Ernest Hemingway but its in a college's course schedule as part of the description for one of the classes, so I'm not sure how reliable to take it.

http://olli.gmu.edu/Fall%202009%20Catalog.htm about halfway down, just search for Karenina.
edit: Wow Google is fast, now this thread is the 1st result for my searches. I found another link that says it was Hemingway(http://twentybyjenny.blogspot.com/2009/07/pleasures-of-rereading.html), but its just a blog so again not really anything "official".
