anyone watching the FADC stream right now? This 15 year old pad-Gouken player is going for 1st or 2nd place after beating sanford, damdai, and a few others... pretty fucking impressive.
Yeah, FADC posts up everything actually. Their footage is excellent, their commentary is a little random, sometimes its good and sometimes you just want to mute it. But fortunately, on their site you can actually rmeove commentary during most of the matches now.
Hmmm....maybe I could bring some CVS2 and 3S to PAX East. It would be on my old Xbox (modded?!) and using saturn pads, so no sticks.

Ugh ugh ugh fuck Makoto. I mean she's a good character but god I hate fighting her. So MUCH stun. Besides have Makoto and Sakura in the same game seems redundant to me. Then again so does having Dudley and Boxer in the same game.
I'd much rather see Alex show up, he's supposed to be the main character of SF3, maybe they can actually develop him some in this game.
I don't believe so? I mean, it's not like they actually gave him any character to like or dislike. Mechanically he's an interesting character, he's just low tier in a game that's mainly dominated by like 5 characters.
I guess I just was going by my old arcade experience where I almost never saw him used at all, tho I rarely seen anyone but Ken, Chun, Ryu, Yun, and the one guy who played Hugo.

I'm going from DC though, so if I can find a ride it will make things easier, otherwise I'll amtrak it, which means I can't bring all that junk up.

There are very large differences between Dudley and Boxer - yeah, it's another boxing character, but the play styles and general tactics are very different.

I loooove Alex's playstyle. He is crap but his combos are so badass.. his command grab is sweet. Grab them from the front, you get a huge powerbomb. Grab them from behind, you get a huge suplex and some extra damage. His B&B punish combo is sweet. fierce flash chop, combos into his suplex! and the stomp..
I would really like to see Alex in SSF4 but I don't think its going to happen.

WHAT?! Alex is the manliest of men, although all of his specials without EX suck. His B+HP is a headbutt grab that does like 20% stun, and if done from behind, he literally chokes the bitches. Close MK into Ex Flash or SA 2 is sweet, and he even had a moving command throw. Going all offense on someone, backing off, then doing a swinging DDT for the win is all too satisfying.

You know, I really hope that if this does well I hope they continue with the SFA/SF3 tradition and do a 3rd iteration of SF4. They don't seem to be slacking on content for this update by any means, but there's so much rich ground left for characters from those old games that they really haven't scratched the surface.
Just thinking back from my days playing CVS2, Rolento, Kyosuke, Maki, Yun, and Eagle would all make good additions. I'm sure there are plenty of SF3 characters left that would work as well (never really played it much myself).
I really don't see how Sakura and Makoto are similar, they play waaaaaay differently. Aside from her 100% stun SA2 into kara fist, and her godly command grab, theres not much to hate. And please Capcom, put back in the combo points counter. I really like seeing points go up over my healthbar. =[

She's sub-par. I mean, she's not god awful, but I wouldn't call her good either.
