Yeah I noticed that angel design too, but I thought it was a new one. Judging from the link, am I to assume it comes from way back to before the games even got Shin in the title?

Possibly? But that one in particular is from Devil Summoner 1(not Raidou).
Maybe you're underleveled? What I did was I always gained 10 levels per dungeon and that's overkill so you don't even need that. Check and make sure your teammates aren't like 3 levels away from learning something really good. Like if Yukiko was a level away from Diarahan you should probably get that instead of going in with Diarama and Mediarama. Same with your own persona. Make sure you aren't a quick level away from Debilitate or something.
I'm level 40. Everyone else is like 37-38. Except for Yosuke. He's level 26. But we dont use him anymore.
That's a pity, you've benched your best damage dealer, and you need to do lots of damage to the void quest boss. Personally, I'd say you're a bit under-leveled. For any other boss it's possible to work through using immunities and what not, but for me the void quest boss was one of those that simply took a lot of abuse and dished out a lot too. Leveling helps here.

I did it without Yosuke, and I'm sure a lot of other people here did too. While he may be useful, he's certainly not essential. Leveling will definitely help though.
The Void Quest boss is easy if you have Black Frost. =X
Well maybe you should read back and observe that he: A.) has a Black Frost and B.) is still having problems and C.) has already had comments like that directed at him.
Yosuke? Best Damage Dealer? o_O He's good for dungeon crawling because of tentarafoo, but at level 40s, he is outshined by everyone (though he regains usefulness later) Yukiko is where it's at. Throw one of those awesome +20% or +30% fire damage accessories onto her and you're set for life.
Fuse a persona that can remove fear for that boss. Don't worry about missing your own turn, just do it. Or just use Teddie since he has a remove-fear-all spell (And mediaramia is nice too) Then just pick Kanji or Chie to back you up with some physical damage and go for it.
Also a random question from P4...did ANYONE leave the Breaks on their party members? (Wind Break, etc)
And he has no weaknesses. From what I can remember.
So, I'm getting a psp soon, and I was thinking about getting Persona 1 from play-asia, since it never got a release over here. Is it anything like Persona 4?
And is there still no news on P3 portable?

I left it on Kanji, for sure. Kanji's Skill Set is basically made to be Elec Boost, Elec Amp, Ziodyne, Maziodyne, Matarukaja, Primal Force, Vile Assault, and Elec Break.

No. It is completely, 100%, entirely, not even remotely at all in your wildest dreams like Persona 4. It's first person dungeons, demon negotiations, five party member system where all party members have multiple personas.
Yeah I noticed that angel design too, but I thought it was a new one. Judging from the link, am I to assume it comes from way back to before the games even got Shin in the title?
Like all of the sprites are ripped straight from Soul Hackers. I thought they were new too, but I was wrong! (They're still new to me though so I didn't care that much.) Like, there's a Hawaiian fire god that I'd never seen before, and I got really excited because they're adding things they've never done before! Nope, from Soul Hackers.
Finally got around to finishing P4. Having finally played through all of P3 and P4, I agree with the common assessment that P4 is generally much lighter than P3. One thing I was thinking of...
Given Elizabeth went with the P3 MC, Margaret is going for the P4 MC, and Theodore in theory goes for the P3 female MC... who does that leave Igor with in the Velvet Room? Will we eventually have to face down the the Velvet Room family as some secret boss in P5? Or will it be a tag team of previous MCs + their respective Velvet Room lovers? Imagine facing down Messiah + Elizabeth, then Izanagi no Okami + Margaret... o_O
Let her evolve or fuse her away so many times she becomes Vishnu, it doesn't matter. There are only two things you can't do.
1. You can't dismiss that demon. It has to be that one and not one you buy back.
2. Use her as a sacrifice in a sacrificial fusion. That destroys her demon DNA or whatever.
Remember, she'll always be the demon in the first slot. No matter what she becomes, she's always in the first spot.

If anyone's interested, SJ's US website is live. Not as informative as the JP one yet, but it'll get there.
This last few days, I've had to re-rate all the songs I have in my iPod/iTunes (don't ask, it's a long and painful story,) and I sort of surprised myself when I got to the Persona 3+4 sections. I appreciate the better songs (Heaven, Game, Master of Shadows, the Almighty, etc.) for what they are, but even listening to the general bopping around town songs, I was emotionally affected. It's odd how touching these games were to me, more than nearly any game I've played in years.

You know what? Nanowrimo's cancelled on account of the world is stupid.

Also, in one of the tunnels some spirit ask you for a demon to excavate. Don´t give him the pixie. That was how I lost mine.
Thanks for posting this CJ. I have a Nocturne soundtrack that I've been completely unable to match the track list for the second disc to anything in English until now.
I think that the internet has been for years on the path to creating what is essentially an electronic Necronomicon: A collection of blasphemous unrealities so perverse that to even glimpse at its contents, if but for a moment, is to irrevocably forfeit a portion of your sanity.

Random speculation/musing about the 'Strange Girl' in Strange Journey, but not really spoilers if you've played Nocturne or Devil Summoner 4 and know that she's not very strange at all.
So is Lucifer just resigned to being the cryptic soothsayer in every game now or what? Though I have no idea what he's up to in Devil Survivor yet, seeing as how I've yet to fight him.
I like the character and all, but this is just getting ridiculous. You've already got Hitoshura leading the army to end all armies. Either get to warring, or get gone.
I thought about picking it up for Japanese practise, but have no idea what kind of reviews it's gotten or if it has insanely old-fashioned obscure kanji.
The game itself is really good. If you like the general formula of Shin Megami Tensei, I would pretty readily recommend it as long as you don't completely despise the first-person dungeon crawling.
No real opinion on the story, as I'm mostly just skipping through it, but it seems like pretty standard stuff through the first four or so sections.
But there's plenty of stuff to do with fusion and sidequests and everything. My only real complaint is that resource management (SP and items) never seems like that big of a deal, but that's extremely minor.

Fucking instant death spell..

Edit: Never Mind. I just saw the earlier posts. Or...I dunno, check the equivalent Giant Bomb endurance run?
Did you go back and fight the optional bosses at the tops of the other dungeons? That will help you out too.
Also, in DDS2 news, I finally beat
Fuck!
I beat him around level 42-ish on hard mode, and he was giving me quite a lot of trouble.
Edit: My bad. owned by a duck.

Plus I got the new fire spell on Black Frost, and that spell can do some damage.

No, 'Strange Girl' isn't accessible yet.
I kinda want someone to take the wallpapers that they have and trim the texts off

I could win if I really tried, but it seems awfully tedious for something I could do easily later.
How can I fuse him? I thought you had to be the demon's base level to fuse.
