I've enjoyed P3 a fucking ton more than I've enjoyed P4 as far as story and dungeons/battles go. I only enjoyed P4's Social Links more.
Part of that is the saving the world versus lolmurder mystery. Part of that is actually seeing the game over screen playing P3. And part of that is P3 having a fucking awesome ending.

What I'm wondering is this: Does magic help your gun damage? I got speed support, and I'm finally starting to get access to new equipment and was wondering if I should prioritize new guns over new swords.
There's practically no difference at all what you're focused. Stat increases are actually random. I was agility focus and I didn't get an agility increase until like level 7.

There's a slight skew towards what stat your focus is, but not by much. Like 24% chance of going up instead of 18/19ish.
One day I'll have to play through P4 again, I missed out on so many Social Links.
But playing through a game that long is an investment. And the story wasn't particularly great.
I Youtube'd the ones I missed.
I'm kind of embarrassed to admit how many times I've youtubed game endings, and extras.
I'm not. Games too often want you to replay them for, literally, a different cutscene and nothing more.
You seem to have a good reason. I just get bored.
In my defense I dislike games that assume the player has nothing better to do with their time than to play, but I can't be bothered to finish most games even once.
On the subject of Strange Journey, though. Man, this is awesome. This is...Maybe better than Nocturne, if it does keep this pace up, and I would probably consider SMT III to be my favorite SMT.
It's a great entry point into the series, too. I'll be promoting this for a while.

What I love about this game is its atmosphere. At first you can easily dismiss it as being some generic dungeon crawler. But if you look carefully at the texture, at some of the demons, and the overall tone of the game.
I find it interesting how they always throw in these soundtrack CD's. Really makes the product stand out on shelves, which I assume is the point considering how relatively unlistenable to they are.
Yes I know you are out there, Mr. Fan, who considers these good music. You are insane and we all love you anyway.
Ohh mudo how I hate you. I had just found a heal terminal and I paid my dues and I knew there was a save terminal around but a little piggy had to go and end my life. Not sure if I had been able to save since I got a beneficial fusion accident. ;_;

Yeah, since I've been playing Persona 3, I've been pondering the music. i've decided it's a really good pastiche of video game music, but for actual listening per se, it's not very good for anything. Well, the opening themes like Burn My Dread might be exceptions, but that's about it. It's a lot like the music from The World Ends With You. Excellent in 30 second bites but meh for over a minute and a half.
What sort of beneficial fusion accidents are we talking about? Extra skills, good demons?
Anyway, I'm finding the random stat-ups kinda weird. I got agility, but does that affect gun skills or anything, or is it just speed? Because my agility is nearly double my strength, but sword attacks are still more damaging.
Three hours in. I'm horrible at demon negotiation. Reviving demons is expensive. I still haven't wiped out, though!
I think it gets easier. Demon fusion should be right around the corner and Ive had a couple demons join me without negotiations which is nice.
Yeah, I just got access to the Demon Fusion program (and I can definitely see the fact that it is built in to the Demonica to be of great convenience later on in the game) but that doesn't help when you can't get more demons to join you! The only things I've recruited so far are Pixies and Knockers, but then again, I've only just gotten to see the new demons on Antiles/B1F and have still yet to have enough interactions with them to figure out their idiosyncrasies.

I've convo'd a ton of times with one or two species and I'll rarely find overlap in convo. Sometimes between species, but otherwise no.

Hey, the battle theme isn't bad! It's coming on between The xx's VCR and World Sick by BSS on my itunes randomize today and it might not really stand up, but it's not terrible!

I'm playing TWEWY right now and I'm having a really hard time with it because of the music. jrock/pop needs to fuck off.
It's terrible.
Let's play some BORIS or something.

Yeah!
It would honestly make TWEWY a better game.
Though maybe the music is supposed to be terrible since you're chilling in the incredibly gaudy Shibuya.

They're a good way to "revisit" the games, though. Especially considering how long they are; there's no way I'm replaying any time soon, no matter how fond I am of the experience.

Some demons are really nice, even more than series standards. Even if I screw up, they might still go into negotiation mode.
I hate to say it, but I think I might go Law. Their demons are looking a lot more appealing and useful.

I prefer to call it being RATIONAL.
It's simple to make rational decision but difficult to do so when in an actual situation with time contraint.

Dark Demons are unobtainable outside of Full Moon + Lunatic or fusion.

I ended up getting a Dark demon that was a few levels higher than I was at the time, sadly I can't remember it's name now.
