So has anyone confirmed if there are fiends or not? I'm sure they're in there somewhere, I'm just 12 hours in and figured I'd have seen at least one by now.
Also, managed to fuse a demon with media + mana drain, which is a huge help when there's none of those healy thingies and I don't want to head back to the ship.

There are, I just got my ass killed by one.
Second block, he's behind a secret door in the SW.
The trick for that is that you have to know the exact percentage that Diarama heals for. What you then have to do is get hit by a % based attack to bring you to the point where Diarama will heal that much. You'll also need a demon with a max HP that the % will equal out to. It's so simple!

By the by, whenever I finish off Pandora, here's my inspiration to take on Snow Queen.
Damn I suck. Barely made it out of Bootes with just my main character, and like 1 demon left alive. I'm gonna have to put a lot of thought into creating a good party and doing some fusions. I don't even have enough macca to rez my whole party so I'll probably just go around Antlia for a bit to build up my team.
Let me tell you how much I've come to hate you since the release of Shin Megami Tensei: Strange Journey. There are trillions upon trillions of living cells in wafer thin layers that make up my body. If the word hate was engraved on each nanoangstrom of those trillions upon trillions it would not equal one one-billionth of the hate I feel for you guys at this micro-instant.
Hate.
Hate.
In unrelated news, some importers claim they'll have the game this Thursday (which had better not be a joke), so hopefully I'll be able to follow your unspoilered comments more clearly starting somewhere next week.
Seriously, the dark alien dimension tearing apart the Antarctic has a red light district? What?

Not just that.
Also a shopping mall!
Which they find to be in very poor taste.
...The red light district, that is. Shopping malls are fine.
Amazon.ca has just printed those three wonderful words on my order tracking page: "Out for Delivery." I think I enjoy waiting for and receiving deliveries from Amazon almost as much as I do the delivery itself.
Now I need to find a way to concentrate on work for the next seven hours.
So how is Strange Journey? I'm picking up my DSi XL in an hour or so and I've been looking at this.
Basically, it's like Nocturne right? Mostly fighting and some story? Or is there a pretty decent amount of story happening?
It's really good, there's a lot of exposition at the start and it really helps create atmosphere. The only bad thing I have to say about it is, man, it's got the Atlus Translation Thing going. "This is too much" is a bit embarrassing to read, and people keep saying it!
Not to sound defensive here, but can I ask what that means? There are lots of maddening turns of phrase that just don't mean anything in English, or worse, just sound horribly trite when used in the proper context in the original language. If there's some constantly used wordings that just aren't working, it benefits me to know about it.
Try to count how many times you've heard "Let's try our best!" when the intent is meant to be along the lines of "We're gonna do this! Fuck yeah!"

My only problem with the translation is that it's not the one for EO III...

This is the first SMT game I have played.
I somehow made it all the way to the... energy source with just demons I managed to talk into joining me. That didn't go so well.
Then per suggestions in this thread I started fusing everything. It went much better that time and I am now wandering around Boots (sp?) cringing everytime I see an unknown.
At one point around level 9 I had a demon in my party who looked like a duck with this odd hat, he got fused into I think a Megami who has party heal. I still want my duck back even if its just the portrait.
So far I've been ignoring alignment and refusing to exploit passwords/the source trick. My only problem is its a bit on the easy side so far. Just rolled through the boss of Antlia with no problems using a party I was just leveling to get their sources(Oni, Tangu whatever, and Lilim with media from fairy source, and harpy when oni fled).
Third section, shopping mall OF DOOM, saddened by the lack of Romero Zombie hordes, oh well.
I found the Giang Pig Blimp Ship in the basement but don't apparently have any way to deal with it yet.
Go back to the first floor and to to the room where an npc is hanging out. One of those rooms where you get kicked back out in dialogue if there's nothing to do there. If you haven't found it yet, finish exploring the first floor.

In some crazy moonspeak language.
And in a list of things importers would want translated, that would be fairly low.

Don't worry about it. Skill inheritance is a lot more limited now compared to past games, albeit with a bit more control due to sources.

This was obviously inspired by White Knight Chronicles then.
I can't wait until this forum gets going and I'm grinding money for some of your insane password demons.

It's the last one I need to get the alternate designs for my demons!

I hate you.
Then I remembered that some people actually got all of those, and 1000'd the game. Now I just weep for humanity.

And it's actually a remix of the original, apparently.

Seems like I was lucky, Playasia shipped my copy on Friday. Now I just have to hope that customs plays nice.

And Ive managed to make myself law alinged :S
So I just wanted to ask: Where the hell was angel at? Antila or Bootes?
Last part of Antila.
Something scary in your way? Stone it!
Something horrible in your way? Put it to sleep!
Almost make the game too easy.
