Sounds good in theory, but I wouldn't want ME2 to turn into a mediocre RTS halfway through the game.

So I've never bothered spending the money on Spectre gear before because I tend to just forget to visit merchants and buy things. Today I bought the Spectre shotgun for my Vanguard out of curiousity.

    My god.

    You were playing wrong. :)

Getting the Spectre gear is like turning the difficulty down a level.

Yeah, that's exactly why I didn't buy them after my first run. Having utterly maxed-out equipment just took all the fun out of finding new stuff.

Well I honestly don't know if I'd do it again because literally, having a shotgun that rips through every enemy is a very different kind of fun than I've come to expect from this game.

Then again the way my ally achievements are shaping up to be (have to finish those before my canon run), I feel like I'm going to need them later on down the road.

I'm having a seriously hard time finding hard numbers for what I need to do to get the ally achievements.

I know the completionist one is like 50 ish assignments but I really hope I don't have to do that every time for the ally ones. It might become a bother.

That would be because there are no hard numbers for the ally achievements.

No one has really figured out exactly which quests count and which ones don't

I know for a fact that if you only do ALL the side-quests on every core planet you can get an ally achievement if your ally was with you the whole time.

I also know the actual mission counter for an ally doesn't need to exceed 30 before you gain the achievement.

But what no one knows is what missions give how many points towards those achievements and which ones don't actually count at all.

except the last mission of pinnacle station, I know that gives you something like 5 or 6 points towards the achievement.

Anyways what I'm trying to say is the ally achievement system works, sorta ... but it works in mysterious ways.

I think we'll just put one in where you have to shoot every window in the game with a specific weapon.

We can call it "At least it's not towers of hanoi"

    FOR RESEARCH PURPOSES:

I've had Space Nazi in my party since the beginning and just popped both Completionist and Soldier Ally. Here's what I had done.

    Citadel: Wrex
    Feros: Colony Saved
    Find Liara T'Soni
    Noveria: Contamination

    Noveria: Leave Port Hanshan
    Noveria: Peak 15
    Noveria: Quarantine
    Noveria: Reactor Repair
    Noveria: Reconnect Landlines
    Noveria: Rift Station
    Noveria: The Hot Labs

    Assignments
    Citadel: Asari Consort
    Citadel: Doctor Michel is Safe
    Citadel: Family Matter

    Citadel: I Remember Me
    Citadel: Planting a Bug
    Citadel: Presidium Prophet
    Citadel: Reporter's Request
    Citadel: Rita's Sister is Safe
    Citadel: Schells' Scanner Given Away
    Citadel: Signal Tracking
    Citadel: The Forth Estate
    Citadel: Xeltan Convinced
    Citadel: Jahleed and Chorban
    Feros: Data Recovery
    Feros: Geth in the Tunnels
    Feros: Power Cells
    Feros: Varren Meat
    Feros: Water Restoration
    Garrus: Dr. Saleon is Dead
    Noveria: Espionage
    Noveria: Smuggling
    UNC: Asari Diplomacy
    UNC: Cerberus
    UNC: Colony of the Dead
    UNC: Dead Scientists
    UNC: Derelict Freighter
    UNC: Distress Call
    UNC: Exogeni Facility
    UNC: Hades' Dogs
    UNC: Hostage

    UNC: Lost Module
    UNC: Major Kyle
    UNC: Missing Marines
    UNC: Missing Survey Team

With Bring Down the Sky and Pinnacle Station, I was able to get both the Krogan Ally and Turian Ally achivements to pop up in the middle of talking with Fai Dan after killing off the Geth in the tower on Feros. I did Feros last out of the DLC and main quest planets, and did every sidequest I could find.

I found Fable 2's achievements to be pretty shitty, actually. They aren't all bad, but it essentially boils down to "do everything in every possible way".

Yes. The total will go up past 999 if you're gelling a lot of shit when you open a storage crate, but anything past 999 disappears after you close the screen.
