So I've never bothered spending the money on Spectre gear before because I tend to just forget to visit merchants and buy things. Today I bought the Spectre shotgun for my Vanguard out of curiousity.

My god.
You were playing wrong.
Getting the Spectre gear is like turning the difficulty down a level.
Well I honestly don't know if I'd do it again because literally, having a shotgun that rips through every enemy is a very different kind of fun than I've come to expect from this game.
Then again the way my ally achievements are shaping up to be (have to finish those before my canon run), I feel like I'm going to need them later on down the road.
I'm not sure if I can compel myself to earn the Asari Ally achievement
On the one hand, OCD
On the other hand, primal hatred.
But I swear to god I should have gotten that fucking achievement in my last playthrough.
I'm having a seriously hard time finding hard numbers for what I need to do to get the ally achievements.
I know the completionist one is like 50 ish assignments but I really hope I don't have to do that every time for the ally ones. It might become a bother.

That would be because there are no hard numbers for the ally achievements.
No one has really figured out exactly which quests count and which ones don't
I know for a fact that if you only do ALL the side-quests on every core planet you can get an ally achievement if your ally was with you the whole time.
I also know the actual mission counter for an ally doesn't need to exceed 30 before you gain the achievement.
But what no one knows is what missions give how many points towards those achievements and which ones don't actually count at all.
except the last mission of pinnacle station, I know that gives you something like 5 or 6 points towards the achievement.
Anyways what I'm trying to say is the ally achievement system works, sorta ... but it works in mysterious ways.
Sounds to me like whomever is responsible for the Ally Achievement related code is a voodoo shaman and that you should expunge him and his necromantic ways.

So basically all three of the original story worlds, with sidequests, and a shitload of UNCs/Assignments. Hopefully the Turian Ally pops pretty quickly.
With Bring Down the Sky and Pinnacle Station, I was able to get both the Krogan Ally and Turian Ally achivements to pop up in the middle of talking with Fai Dan after killing off the Geth in the tower on Feros. I did Feros last out of the DLC and main quest planets, and did every sidequest I could find.
I found Fable 2's achievements to be pretty shitty, actually. They aren't all bad, but it essentially boils down to "do everything in every possible way".
With the ridiculous amount of credits I had (or would have had if they weren't maxed out), I could have probably bribed Saren.
Something I have always wondered - did anyone go out of their way to make money? Or did you just wait for it to pile up naturally? If the former, what could you really do to gain more credits other than gamble?

I saw a thing on youtube where someone took advantage of a set of shops to sell at more than they paid for
considering there's not much of anything worth buying until you have more money than Jesus it seemed decidedly unnecessary
Is the omni-gel maximum 999? Because I got pretty close to that, even after not bothering to manually hack anything ever.
Yes. The total will go up past 999 if you're gelling a lot of shit when you open a storage crate, but anything past 999 disappears after you close the screen.

Sounds good in theory, but I wouldn't want ME2 to turn into a mediocre RTS halfway through the game.

I know this feeling
I suffer from it
But I swear to god I should have gotten that fucking achievement in my last playthrough.
And as I was talking to one particular elf, I thought, "Gee, she sounds familiar. Where have I heard her before?"
ME has ruined everything else for me. I'm not complaining, mind you.
nah, man
because Sovereign's indoctrination devices?
a bank of DSs printing money

She was also in Batman. The game, not the person. That would be awkward.
I think I just cried.
I think we'll just put one in where you have to shoot every window in the game with a specific weapon.
We can call it "At least it's not towers of hanoi"
(not really)

You know
because Hitler hated reptiles
Guess it's superior-species sex with Miss Human.
ME2 should let me force her to adopt a Krogan baby or something.
I honestly didn't think it was possible for Liara to reject you unless you renegade response like every single time
