Small electronics

Does anyone know anything about small scale electronics- specifically those push Button voice chips you get in cheap stuffed animals or greeting cards?

I want to do a custom one for a gift.

They're a push-button contact relay that has a pre-recorded tune on it with a speaker.

    Nothing fancy.

You can get ones that aren't pre-recorded too. I got one from a 'make your own bear' shop a few years ago. You can record your own message onto it and once you're happy with it you can (I think) disable the write function so that your message stays put.

So you could find a bear shop nearby and see if they'll sell one separately, or did you mean actually constructing one yourself?

I'm fine with finding one I could record with. I dunno if I could build one.
