I actually really liked Splash Woman, so another woman RM would be ok by me.

Sheep Man is awesome by the way.

Can't wait to find out more. They should have Man Man. O_o

Of course...but I also don't have the adapter to hook an NES pad to the Wii....thus I don't have the option.

I'm just saying that to me it's much more fun using the Wii Remote NES style than using the DS3 or the *barf* 360 D-Pad.

Uh you can't use an NES pad on the Wii/360/PS3 so the remote is the closest thing to it in this scenario

So? That doesn't make a difference. A Wii pad is not now, nor ever, more authentic than an NES controller.

For the record, I didn't say it was more authentic than an actual NES controller...but between the PS3, 360, and Wii versions of Mega Man 9...it felt much more authentic to play on the Wii than any of the other systems.

    You may disagree...but you'd be wrong. *

What sucks about the Wii version is that it has 'widescreen support' and only runs in 480i. So If I want to play it undistorted I have to change the Wii setting to fullscreen, but there's still additional lag from it being 480i. I hope they get rid of the 'widescreen' mode and make it run in 480P.

The 360 and PS3 versions look blurry and maybe a bit off though, so it's a trade off. The 480i was an intentional move on the Wii's part and I think it adds to the visual appeal.

    Guh?

Ignoring whatever happened up there the Wii remote was specifically designed to be used like the NES controller. Nintendo said that from day one pretty much.

Given the options we have using the sideways configuration of the wiimote is the closest possible way to play a game using the NES style controller without having an option to use an authentic NES control pad

I mean appearance wise, he looks more like a regular level enemy than a boss. You can look at Plug Man and say he sorta looks similar to Gravity Man, Tornado Man kinda looks like the "standard" boss, Flame Man looks like Air Man and Needle Man.

Sheep Man doesn't look like a boss.

I've never seen an interview with the American winner (creator of WindMan), but here's some cool stuff with RingMan's creator:

Man, I thought the bosses in Megaman 9 were all fantastic.

Apart from the endgame bosses being too hard for me (not a complaint really, It's actually nice to have a game best me once in a while) I thought they were all a lot of fun, and very well designed.

The thing about the final boss is that he's really pretty easy if you dedicate 4 or so of the master weapons to him if you have the energy for it or an M tank. Besides his weaknesses to Concrete Shot and Plug Ball, Tornado Shot and Black Hole could get rid of anything he fired at you, Hornet Chaser and Magma Blaster could hit him when he was in the air, and as always, Trident was the standby buster replacement if you just wanted a wider shot.

This was really the best thing about MM9. The weapon selection was fantastic. They finally realized that they didn't need to add a bunch of extraneous and unnecessary moves (charge shot, etc.) and just made an arsenal of decent weapons instead of a bunch of gimmicks.

I refuse to believe they didn't sneak a few of their own in there. There's no way some kid submitted Optic Man back then. Although it's neat to see where Inafune drew inspiration from (or just used lock stock and barrel) for some of the future robot masters from, I definetily saw a Crystal Man in there somewhere.
