2. if you run anywhere except for right at the objective, you get killed for exiting the combat zone.
3. There is not an M1 Garand.
4. Your face lacks insight.
On the plus side this is only one of a few game-modes and there will be an m1 garand in the game for 360 and PS3 owners and possibly even the PC depending on what they do.
It's so infuriating when a squad gets on top of that ridge between the first zone and the second.
Also, the rifle grenades need some sort of arming distance or something. I'm getting so many guys just popping out from a corner putting one practically right between us.

The medic is already a combination of support/heavy gunner+medic from BF2. Now they want it to be demo+support+medic? Why not just go all the way and give him an ammo box and maybe a sniper rifle too?
I don't think some people understand why there are different classes in these games.
Man shooting and blowing stuff up is the last thing on my mind when playing medic. I'm too busy running around winning the game by zapping people up and keeping them alive.
Last night I fired a grenade launcher at a guy and it practically landed one inch away from him. He somehow survived with 4% health left and killed me. It feels like BC1 all over again where the assault class sucked.
What if you have 1943 on the 360 and BC2 on the PC? Can I use veterans to get the M1 on PC?
If it's like how BC1 handled its veteran bonus stuff it shouldn't matter what platforms your previous Battlefield games were on. You register your previous games on the Battlefield Veterans website and then when you prove you own BC2 it should (I'm assuming) let you get the bonus on any platform you want.

I for one am I glad the 40mm has been made a tool rather then another piece of kill hardware in this game.
Maybe its CODs bullshit with it or other games making it seems like such a special mega kill weapon.
And I guess that also factors in with the minimal splash damage with the rest of the game. It really keeps out explosive spammers and focus on bullets and firefights which is the most fun.
Its so cool hiding behind a wall trading shots at a guy with you buddy and he launches a 40mm and blows your cover but your still standing and really need to find some new cover.
sometimes thats preferable. because there are those times you died in clear line of sight of a tank or stationary gun or something and everytime you get revived you just die again. STOP REVIVING ME YOU IDIOT
I hope the engineer's automatic guns get tweaked before the game comes out. Right now they feel overly spastic to me; even shooting while crouched causes the sights to jitter around way more than they should. It's understandable for the assault's rifle to have tons of recoil, but a silenced submachine gun shouldn't be nearly so hard to corral.

Too true. I'd like to see more distance put on the gun's for Engineers as well. Feels futile to even shoot at anything that's over 20 feet away from you. Why can't Engineers have that luxury?

as stupid as that sounds to be saying about a battlefield game
this has been doing fairly well to tide me over so far though
Its like the gun reports in the movie Heat, times ten. I swear to god this game will give me PTSD.

I thought you could get a Garand and a Thompson for this game through the battlefield veterans system.
Well, you unlock the Thompson through rank, but yeah, the Garand you get through the veteran website.
And since 1943 isn't on PC...

EDIT: But hey, maybe that's an accident, I don't know.
Or it could be for, well, the console people who already got 1943 last year :P
Maybe they'll give 1942 veterans the M1 Garand as well, who knows...
I just hope we get a lot of great Conquest maps, because I could see Rush mode getting a bit stale.
Yeah, could be a mistake, there are other out-of-date references: one of the medic's upgrades mentions going prone

People should add me to their friends list. The name is the same as I've always had.
I got the game to finally work (had to mess with my Firewall/gpu drivers/some other stuff), and for the past hour and a half, I've been killin' dudes.
There's nothing more rewarding than grabbing a tank, and taking out a building in which the entire opposing team is camping/sniping in.
Ice Cream?
Not sure what to make of the bold
making medic anti-tank would seem to reduce the role of the engineer too much to me. Giving them a SAW was good enough
speaking of which, a bow weapon would be pretty sweet
I don't think some people understand why there are different classes in these games.
No one has done it yet
They should make that more clear somehow.
They can only swap back if there is another kit in the vicinity too
man I hated that in earlier battlefields
ZAP
why does i have machine gun now?
I've had it happen to me once. One time I took the kit of a dead enemy medic and used it to revive a teammate and then went back to my own kit.
Better than then leaving you altogether.

burst fire.
I burst fire all the time, man.
It's just that it's quite apparent that the engineer has a far harder time dealing with farther enemies than Assaults or Medics do.
