Where to buy a Desktop PC?

I'm in Canada and I was looking at the Dell desktop XPS options, and the one I was configuring was getting fairly expensive. Where's the best place to configure/order a desktop system? I kind of figured that being charged 300$ for a 7200rpm 1tb hard drive was a terrible deal. I would put it together myself, but I don't really have the time and wouldn't mind paying a little extra to have a system put together. Thanks!

The time it takes to put a system together is a few hours at most and you save hundreds and hundreds of dollars. Installing the OS is just about the most laborious part and you'll have to do that yourself anyways because you'll want to wipe any computer you buy prebuilt.

Yeah, www.newegg.ca and building it yourself is probably your best bet. Go to the computer build thread for advice on what parts to pick,.

Oh god. When I was younger, me and my friends wanted to burn the Harry Potter books.

    Then I moved to Georgia.

You can also buy a barebones kit and only have to install the graphics card/ram.

An alternative to Newegg, which is a great site, would be http://www.tigerdirect.ca/

ncix.com - Choose your parts and you can choose for them to assemble it for you. Think it costs an additional $50/$75.

300 bucks for a 1 TB 7200 RPM drive IS a terrible deal. I got a 1.5 tb for $129.99, but I had to install it myself, which took at most 10 minutes.
