now, just like Spawn, he'll probably get someone above him to just ignore that bullshit so he can keep making posts

basically Shoe is a Todd McFarlane character

    I've made this comparison before!

except todd mcfarlane is just awful

Actually, his Spider-Man work is pretty decent. Not saying he hasn't done some absolutely horrible shit but he suffers a lot from Jim Lee syndrome in the sense that his work is actually good a lot of the time it's just his style was aped so much and is associated with so much awful 90s crap that it gets lost in the noise.

well yeah, his Spider-Man stuff was great, and he had a lot to do with making Venom look awesome too, but Spawn was just never good. and Haunt, man

don't get me started on Haunt

After the first Iron Man and Tropic Thunder, Robert Downey Jr.'s inclusion in a movie is an automatic purchase, unless it's something gay like The Soloist.

The Sherlock Holmes movie looks pretty great, too.

I have such weird emotion of Sherlock Holmes...

Whenever I watch those previews I think that Downey Jr. looks awesome as Holmes,
but the movie looks kinda badish.

    But eh.

just ignore the stupid explanations the writers come up with for whatever and just have fun

So no, while he may not have been described in writing as wearing one, it has been originally associated with him.

He was wearing it because they were going into the countryside.

    Oh, and this
The contemporarily-set 1987 television movie The Return of Sherlock Holmes starred Michael Pennington as the detective and Margaret Colin as Dr. Watson's granddaughter, Jane. Jane, after following directions written by her grandfather years ago, finds out that she has thawed Holmes who had been cryogenically frozen by Dr. Watson for 88 years due to Bubonic plague. They become a team—the essential Victorian gentleman and a post-feminist young woman—to solve a case that combines elements of "The Sign of the Four" with elements from the celebrated news story of a plane hijacked for ransom by B.D Cooper.

Ah! an excellent find sir, and one I had quite forgotten
Another common incorrect attribution is that Holmes, throughout the entire novel series, is never explicitly described as wearing a "deerstalker hat." Although, Holmes does don "an ear flapped travelling cap" in "The Adventure of Silver Blaze". Sidney Paget first drew Holmes wearing the deerstalker cap and inverness cape in "The Boscombe Valley Mystery" and subsequently in several other stories.

There was Sherlock Holmes in the 22 Century, or something along those lines. If I remember the plot correctly, after his confrontation with Moriarty at the Falls he winds up being frozen a la Captain America and later on he's found and thawed, same with Moriarty in the future and Watson's great great great granddaughter is is sidekick along with a robot version of Watson she built.

Or I just made all that up
