Yeah, I keep getting crashes when I try and start it up! Nooooooo! I looked for logs of some kind that might be of use to you in fixing it, LaCabra, but I couldn't find anything. Is there anything I can do to help?
Yo @darmak I fucked something up and had to upload a new build. The humble store should have updated it in a bit and then you can redownload but in the meantime I've taken the widget down and it's only available on gog. I'm on my phone at the moment but if you email me I will send you a working build to download as soon as I can.

There was a purple glass flippy thing and I was trying to maneuver an orange ball onto it and the flipper flipped me and the orange ball went underneath it and fell into the void and I got moved into the next area as if I had finished the level. I don't remember which level it was, exactly, but it was right before or inside the caves.
edit: oh, and it was almost at the very beginning of the level, I hadn't done much at all
True dat. I figured it would restart, much like if I had fallen into the void, but to my surprise it just moved me to the next area. Still, all things considered this is a really fun game so far! Kudos to everyone that worked on it!

I think you left it intentionally ambiguous because there is no actual backstory, and that any explanation you gave me for the sequence of events that occurred on that island would be unsatisfying.
I'm going to choose to believe it was all a government plot to test self-guided ball-drone combat and infiltration capabilities.
