BTW new rule for future games: No one gets to whine about how terrible they are doing.
Whining about how terrible things are going for you is a time-honored method to get people to ignore you long enough to stage your dramatic comeback; for an example, see Khorne in the first game (which tragically never got finished, but I had a furious comeback going). It's allowed. :P

9. The Badlands - No longer lonely, the bloodletter and his friend still find no target.
Khorne, get this started for us with the rolls through Estalia. As a reminder, you must designate all hits for a given region before rolling for the next region.
I really don't feel like doing the math too closely, but is it possible that the game isn't over? It's either totally over, or a couple of players are at 45+ VP, heh.
Color shows who scored the kill
1. Norsca - nothing
2. Troll Country - no targets
3. Kislev - peasant
4. The Empire - peasant and acolyte
5. Bretonnia - leper
6. Estalia - leper, plaguebearer
7. Tilea - miss
8. The Border Princes - no battle; Electors Sue for Peace
9. The Badlands - No longer lonely, the bloodletter and his friend still find no target.
Also, I just realized we're missing one of Tzeentch's acolytes. No idea when it disappeared, but he should have 8 total. Everybody check under your chair and see if you can spot it.
Edit: Found it; Nurgle must have knocked it off the table from Norsca when his leper got teleported there and back
2. Hero Tokens are resolved - Hero in the Kislev attacks Khorne, killing a bloodletter
3. Resolve Old World cards - no effects
4. Score Ruined Regions - The Border Princes: add up the points and divide by 2, rounding down, for the tie for first place Nurgle scores 6 VP Slaanesh scores 6 VP
5. Advance Threat Dials - Khorne has the most tokens Khorne advances two clicks:
23 - Upgrade
28 - Upgrade Nurgle advances one click
22 - Upgrade Tzeentch advances one click:
25 - Upgrade
...Is it time to start jockeying for seats in the next game now 8-) ?
Sure; I can throw up another thread in a bit. Or does someone else (who owns the game and has a set of Old World cards available) want to run the next?
Too bad about my getting boned in my first few rolls, and then having that "no fighting" card come up
Good game everyone, and thanks for hosting, Darian!
Yeah... it was going to get even worse for you next round:
Franz's Decree
Discard this card and immediately draw another Old World card.
Meteor Showers
Place one Warpstone token in each of three different regions. Discard this card instead of adding it to the Old World track.
So if the game had gone one more round, Tzeentch could have won by DIAL victory before Slaanesh/Nurgle got credit for their victories, but there just wasn't going to be enough time for you to recover.
And the entire game as an animated gif (apologies for the 1 meg file):
If my cultists had lived a bit longer, I could have ruined Estalia. Or if I was able to get another Upgrade Card, I would have gotten my Great Unclean One and been able to ruin it...

Whew, close one.
Have to run, I'll talk more after dinner. I was glad to see my math was right. Nurgle about gave me a heart attack when I realized he was going to get a ruiner's bonus in The Border Princes.
Before we start up the next game, a quick strategy question: is Battle Cry the most powerful spell in the game?
Battle Cry - 1 - No corruption tokens may be placed in this region during this round
If I'm remembering correctly, Khorne in this game burned two Battle Cries early to slow down Tzeentch, then drew just one more for the rest of the game. It worked to slow down Tzeentch, but Nurgle and Slaanesh were able to take control of the VP game in other regions and run away with it. In game 1, a combination of Battle Cry and Field of Carnage enabled me (as Khorne) to lock down the key regions enough to stall my way back into contention.
But then you have the other contenders for strongest spells: Temporal Stasis from Tzeentch can cut off an entire region of the board (drop one in the Empire or Kislev after the other gods have committed to the other side and Tzeentch can get a really strong start, as he did here).
The Final Routing - 2 - At the end of the battle phase, kill one enemy Cultist or Warrior in this region for each of your corruption tokens here
If Nurgle gets the lead in corruption in a region, this can wipe out all the other gods present; can be used to delay ruination (to get a bigger VP for it later) or to stop others from getting the ruination bonus and control 2nd place.

I'll allow it.

Khorne gains 3 DIAL tokens
First, the map post battle:
Peasant Uprising is in effect; each peasant increases the resistance of its region by 1.
Domination and Corruption steps:
1. Norsca - previously ruined
2. Troll Country - Khorne Dominates for 1 VP
Khorne places 1 corruption
3. Kislev - previously ruined
4. The Empire - previously ruined
5. Bretonnia - No Domination (4 = 4 > 2)
Khorne places 1 corruption
Nurgle places 2 corruption DIAL
6. Estalia - Nurgle Dominates for 5 VP (8 > 4 > 2 > 1)
7. Tilea - No Domination or corruption
8. The Border Princes - Tzeentch Dominates for 1 VP (7 > 6 > 3 > 2 > 1 )
Nurgle places 1 corruption
Tzeentch places 5 corruption DIAL

Nurgle, Tzeentch, and Slaanesh each score 5 VP for corrupting it this phase
9. The Badlands - Khorne Dominates for 2 VP (2 > 1)
Khorne places 1 corruption
Nurgle scores 3 bonus points for one new regions being ruined.
Changed VP:
Khorne: 13 + 3 = 16
Nurgle: 39 + 13 = 52

Slaanesh: 42 + 5 = 47
DIAL tokens:

Map at the start of the End Phase
1. Remove Chaos Cards from the Board
2. Hero Tokens are resolved - Hero in the Kislev attacks Khorne, killing a bloodletter
3. Resolve Old World cards - no effects
4. Score Ruined Regions -
The Border Princes: add up the points and divide by 2, rounding down, for the tie for first place
Nurgle scores 6 VP
Slaanesh scores 6 VP
5. Advance Threat Dials - Khorne has the most tokens
Khorne advances two clicks:
23 - Upgrade
28 - Upgrade
Nurgle advances one click
22 - Upgrade
Tzeentch advances one click:
25 - Upgrade
Updated VP score:
Khorne: 16
Nurgle: 52
Tzeentch: 18 + 6 = 34
Slaanesh: 47 + 6 = 53
6. Check for Game end -
a. DIAL victory has not been achieved
b. At least one player is over 50 points; the game ends
Slaanesh is the victor, by one point over Nurgle. Had they tied, Nurgle would have gotten the victory by virtue of a higher threat value.
Good game, all; the thread is now open for all comers to congratulate and belittle the gods, strategize, and generally comment on the game.
