[Chaos] Chaos in the Old World - Game 3 - Slaanesh Victory by 1 VP
Posts
I had started to think I was paying too much attention to one of my siblings, and letting the others grow too powerful- now I see I was focusing exactly where I needed to :-/
Degenerate Royalty - 3 - If played in a region with three or more corruption tokens, this card's cost is reduced by three. (It's printed cost is still used to calculate your domination value.)
(5/6 PP)
Blood for the Blood God!
Peasant Uprising and Warpstone Discovery are in effect
Khorne (6/7) screams out a Battle Cry in Troll Country (no corruption placed)
Nurgle (6/6) reaches out for a Plague Touch in Troll Country (-1 defense for others, min. 1)
Tzeentch (5/6) drops a Temporal Stasis in the Empire (+2 PP cost for others to act)
Slaanesh (5/6) sends a seductress into Estalia
Khorne (3/6) reacts to Tzeentch's meddling in the Empire with another Battle Cry (no corruption placed)
Nurgle (5/6) sends a leper north into Kislev
Tzeentch (4/6) stirs up some fairy tales to mess with Khorne with the Meddling of Skaven in Bretonnia (instant effect)
Slaanesh (5/6) rewards the Degenerate Royalty of Estalia for their service (no effect)
Khorne (2/6) summons a bloodsworn to Kislev from Bretonnia
Hrm, I might need to look through Tzeentch's card set.
Khornes battle cry made it so Tzeentch would not have been able to corrupt Troll Country that turn. So an extra magic card would not have meant anything.
Though that god is all kinds of sneaky, woulden't be surprised if he had a way to get around battle cry. :P
Tzeentch has a card that removes all effects of Chaos cards from a region.
Oh, I just noticed your sig... Rend actually wrote that for the first game. And Khorne was justifiably worried about that combination of cards because it happened just last turn in Norsca.
The Final Routing - 2 - At the end of the battle phase, kill one enemy Cultist or Warrior in this region for each of your corruption tokens here. (3/6 PP remain.)

Much to my shagrin. As a new player, I didn't know he could do that... I guess I should theoretically take a look at old games and see what each player can do to horribly screw me...but experiencing each one as it is inflicted upon me seems more personal somehow.
Teleport - 1 - When you play this card, move any Cultist or Warrior from this region to any other region.
3/6 PP remain.
Inquisitor77: Rius, you are Sisyphus and melee Wizard is your boulder
Tube: This must be what it felt like to be an Iraqi when Saddam was killed

That was basically my plan. I didn't have enough PP for 2 warriors, so I figured I may as well draw one out if he had it.
Summon Seductress to Kislev. (4/6 PP)
Nurgle (3/6) calls for the Final Routing in Estalia (kill an enemy cultist or warrior for each of N's corruption)
Tzeentch (3/6) Teleports Khorne's bloodsworn back to Bretonnia
Slaanesh (4/6) sends a seductress into Kislev
I also wouldn't count either Slaanesh or Khorne out as almost every game I've played of CitOW ends up being close at the end, with multiple gods within a turn of victory.
It's funny you should say that, as you just got rid of a bunch of my cards instead of Nurgle's.
Khorneburn!!!
Edit: Burns for the Burn God?
Editx2: Someone, anyone, please give me a photoshop where Mr. Burns is holding up a Khorne rally poster.

Khorne has worse Chaos cards than Nurgle as far as f'ing Tzeentch goes.
Skulls for the Skull Throne!
It's true. But Nurgle's cards can fuck Khorne pretty hard (a la Rain of Pus and whichever one gives others a -1 to defense; it can make combat go interestingly).
Influenza - 1 - This region's Resistance is reduced by two. (2/6 PP remain.)
I would have to get two ticks each round, including this round, in order to win by Threat Dial. I'm not really in any better position than anyone else for victory points right now, considering how evenly most of the corruption is spread - in fact, unless we do things about your little corner of the map there, you're going to be ruining places and getting all the Victory Points to yourself.

Don't worry, Nurgle, not trying to bust in on your domination deal, just tryin' to get my dial tick.
[strike]Nurgle is active.[/strike]
See below; waiting on Khorne.
Two extra kills; that actually significantly boosts the power of his Final Routing there.
I think I want to pause and let Khorne step back in and reconfirm his latest move; if he changes and goes somewhere else, then the other gods will also get to redo their turns for this latest cycle of actions. If he does not change anything, we'll continue from here. Sending a PM to Khorne now.
I'm not quite sure how to handle this, but that seems a bit excessive to me.
edit: And I'm talking about the just finished cycle of actions, so just the latest action for each god could be affected. Khorne cannot cast anything in Estalia, as those slots are both already filled.

(M) Soporific Musk - 2 - When you play this card, choose one enemy Cultist in this region. You control that Cultist figure until this card is discarded.
I choose the 2nd cultist from the left!

Oh right, my bad.
Drop it in Kislev instead.

Why do you hate me, Nurgle?
Seriously, nothing personal.
