You must all survive on shitty crunch food for three months.
I expect to hear back how much weight you've gained to the pound.
Or in my case, lost. Because some nights I'd rather starve than eat that stuff.
Yeah man I just bring my own food to work, or take an hour or whatever to go home and eat. Fuck that trash. It's enough that you get my time (or rather, my wife's time, since she apparently owns me now), but you don't get my health too.

I may not be the man for the job, but I started tinkering with Max/MSP back in college and it seems like a pretty great way to get whatever weird sounds you need

find a sushi place that delivers late
that's what I survived on
Thank You Gyro&Teriyakki House
I hope they didn't spell it that way. Also, that particular combination is one I've never seen. Are the gyros any good? And if so, how's the Japanese stuff? I mean this combination is like...like a pizzeria that also serves crepes, you know?

surprisingly common in ATL. The sushi is mediocre, but it's delivery, so I didn't exactly expect the best. More than adequate for being handed to me at 11pm. The gyros aren't bad. I could use a bit less garlic in the tzatziki, but overall pretty good.
If I wanted to learn a little bit about coding, just like, making random scripts and shit, what's a good language to start out on?
BASIC. You can learn it in a matter of hours and it can help you wrap your brain around coding. However, it's really messy and can lead to some bad habits.

for all of us who don't really want to grow up to be artists sketchup is a hella good compromise
if you are wanting to do anything with games it isn't at all
Yeah, I think the difference is if you want to make a mech or a statue of a mech. Because any time you save using sketchup will be lost trying to make the sketchup model do anything.
We have our own thread for this so this is the last post I'll make on VJISP in this thread, I just thought you guys would be interested http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6wswfdawVBM

a million times this
18, I'd say.
Man whatever I'm gonna have a bunch of tris in my geometry because it's my style
Ugh I have actually seen someone say that on cgtalk
It was some thread where some dude posted a head he was modeling and oh my goodness it was baaaaaaaaaaaad

What about 2D, or 3D like Super Paper Mario
Also, I know flash pretty well.

Seems like it wouldn't be a far stretch.
People were doing 2D games with the very first Unreal engine. That's also the last time I did a game mod.
Stupid Columbine.
Because, I'm not doing anything else at the moment.
Two of the other people already run big studios.
Do It
I fucking dare you.
I'm fully expecting to get a "Don't want no scrubs" response by the end of the week.
Then again, I was pretty much bringing my a-game to that interview. Maybe I'll get it on balls alone.
I dunno, just haven't been online much anymore now that I'm not chained to a desk 14 hours a day

hopefully more exciting than the other one
sort of
whenever I see a model made in sketchup, I vomit a little bit
and its hella great for shit it is designed for
like making entire cities for google earth
but man, you import something into max from there and try to animate it
welcome to spending twelve hours cleaning up multiple funky weird overlapping polys and all kinds of fucked shapes and loops
it ain't made for advanced 3d shit
its for basic prototyping and quick beginner moddelling
I've used it for building super rough layout blueprints and shit when we were doing a big remodel
way faster then trying to do it in anything else

Scripts? LUA? Java? Probably Java, but ultimately the language is C++.
