Alistar/TF/Sivir are basic mainstays, toss in a Fiddlesticks and physical carry (Corki, twitch, nidalee) and you rule
I don't think we are playing the same game. Trynd is hardly garbage when played correctly. I hate Yi to be honest, but i don't lose games when I play him. Kat I have not played since beta.
Corki is okay but easily shut down, twitch has the same problem... and nidalee is a kitty.
We probably aren't, top 50 games are a lot different and Trynd and Yi are worthless.

It isn't hard to get high in ELO if you just pick quality comps and are able to click a few keys while watching your mini map
I was just saying that because he was creating some sort of "dream team" full of awful heroes, and then went on to claim that Trynd and Yi were amazing and hard to shut down, while CORKI was easily shut down and a bad DPS.
I read a guide by one of the highest ranking players that was pretty much "just abuse everything that's overpowered right now and you'll win"
I get the feeling that's how "high level play" is and that sounds pretty boring to me!

I played Wazzabi yesterday, he's definitely a good player but he'd be enormously better with another hero. He rages because people queue dodge him so much
Warwicks big issue is if he ults someone (his one hit wonder) and they cleanse right out of it, he just swings at the air for 5 seconds

master yi gets fed early (unfortunately i was some of that feeding) and becomes such a powerful force from the gold he is a one man team. he had two trinity forces, two infinity edges, a bloodthirster and a phantom dancer, kills anyone he attacks in under 1.5 seconds, solo divebombs our turrets and inhibitors while we push their base, at least 6 times throughout the game
finally we are able to CC him while pushing once while he was defending, killed him, rolled the rest through to their nexus, which the other 4 were defending from our triple super minions
i totally crowstormed right into their last two towers, scoring an ace and wiping out all the minions that our minions were attacking, turning them all right on the turrets just in time for me to not die
today i flashed behind a wall and his alpha strike followed me through it
i was sad
Yeah, it's a delayed teleport. He moves to his first Alpha Strike target after the entire animation through all the targets concludes, wherever it is at the end of the animation -- not where it was when the strike graphic moved to that first target. It works both for and against him. Dumb Yis will target heroes during the initial laning, when a canny player can move well behind their lines and force him to appear for a special guest starring in Brown Town.

You may read this and think they were being sore losers, but they weren't.
They were complaining about the fact that I was building Nidalee with AP, telling me how it's a horrible build that doesn't work, despite the fact that I was killing people left and right o_O
They said that no "high elo players" use AP Nidalee, but the same guy also didn't know how lichbane works or that two of her cougar abilities scale with AP so I find his reasoning to be a bit hard to believe!
Queue dodging is for when you have a pub Warwick on your team with Rally/Smite, Twisted Fate with Teleport, Tryn/Kat/Mundo with Clarity, or someone who says in chat "it's my first time playing X". Because while they certainly might not be awful, it's a bit of a gamble.

Reagan, Talios and I just played with a pub Warwick who basically carried our team (we still lost do their wtfstacked TF with like 600+ ap...).
I've had fun with Ryze the last few games. I just don't appreciate heroes who can become so powerful it makes the game not worth playing (see previous example).
Good TF = you lose unless you're 5 premade with 5 stuns and lots of damage. You have a tank or support? You lose.
I think it really depends on the match up whether or not Jax is successful. He lives and dies by his dodge, so if you run into a decent dps caster, you're really up a creek. On the other hand, if you run into silly yi's and warwick's that decide that they're gonna try and solo you then you'll have significantly different results.

jax came in my bundle, is he as fun as he looks? after reading his ultimate it seems fun, and it also seems like there'd be cool ways to build him
He's rather enjoyable to play as, and he works well with both AP and attack damage builds. He's pretty good at chasing/killing and isn't too shabby at pushing lanes either once he gets some momentum.
He fucks over a few physical damage heroes too. Gangplank in particular (hey he's technically physical now with parley doing physical damage!) since dodging one parley makes a huge difference.

Make sure you're running vent in administrator mode if you're using windows 7.
anyone else unable to chat while in the client? everytime i join a que and get paired up, during champ selection i cant talk, i cant pm friends without being in a game and i cant join chats. Anyone else have this problem?

I played Poppy again in a 5 premade today, "Bang, Pow! Football Head!"
It was a long game that stayed pretty even most of the way through, but we couldn't over come their friggin Twitch. Stupid stealth ridiculousness... At least, though, it was a fun game throughout instead of one of those long frustrating piles of filth you get. We were able to blast Twitch down most of the time when we came upon him.

Virtually all champions are playable right now; I would only say Evelynn (too easily stopped by Oracle's Elixir or Banshee's Veil) and Soraka (Taric is strictly better with a stun, double-heal, and a tower-pushing ultimate) are garbage-tier these days. Katarina is too if her ultimate is still broken. As for Warwick, when a top 100 player has 250+ wins with him, I begin wondering if I should pick him up again (websense will block this).

I'm getting queue dodged because I want to play Jax. I need to "learn to play LoL" apparently.
