A link to the previous thread.

Also a list of mods of varying quality.
Speeddub wrote:
Cosmetic: These are mods that are purely cosmetic, be it adding options to character creation or changing certain graphical effects in-game.
Whiter Teeth
Larger Conversation fonts for HiRes displays
Bandit Scars & Tattoos added to face customization
High Definition Textures
Freckles Plus add freckles to characters
Annoyance Remover Removes the annoying Fade graphical effect, and annoying graphical effects on some sustained AoE spells, like Rally. I'm fairly sure this requires the patch to work.
New Sten Face Makes Sten look older and gives him a beard and eyebrows.
PROJECT DRAGON AGE A rather ambitious project to make characters in the game, ranging from minor NPCs to party members, look more realistic. This includes fixing characters who have irrationally chubby cheeks or otherwise odd faces, and making some characters, like Zathrian, look more like their personality or backstory describe (in Zathrian's case, making him look older). For the most part, I'm impressed with the quality of work done. It's the first Morrigan redesign I've seen that doesn't make her look like an anime character!
A Wolf Is A Man's Best Friend Changes the Dog to look like a Wolf
CC Extra Tints and Tones Additions to the character creator, adds 11 new skin tones, 14 new eye colors, 11 new hair colors, white tattoo colors, Morrigan's hair, Duncan's Hair and Beard, and Oghren's Hair and Beard

Gameplay: These are mods that alter the game's basic gameplay in some way.
Storage chest at Camp
Auto Highlight You know how when you hold tab you can see every clickable item in the area? This makes that feature permanently turned on.
Dexterity fix (Fixes both daggers and archery)
Dagger Damage Fix (without archery fix)
Items Received shows floaty text when you pick up an item that tells you what you picked up (particularly helpful for stealing)
Extra Tactics Adds some tactics conditions bioware forgot (i.e. "Ally - Status - Dead", "Self - X Allies have Curable Effects", "Self - X Allies Alive")
Auto-Swap Quick Bar swaps to a different quickbar when you switch weapon sets. Since you don't go in to two weapon types much, this isn't super useful, but you could use it with a second staff on a mage to switch between healing/dps or something
Item Rebalance Mod "An attempt at making the loot and treasure hunting in Dragon Age more interesting and rewarding" Check the page, there are numerous changes
Nightmare + An even harder difficulty
Auto Loot Automatically loots items, provided you have enough inventory space, without opening the loot gui
Improved Selling Items now sell to vendors for 75% of their worth, instead of 25%
Free Love Allows you to romance Morrigan as a female player and romance Alistar as a male character

Character/Skill Mods: These are mods that alter the way character skills act, add new abilities, or change other things about your character.
Respec Mod Allows you to respec yourself or your allies, also makes learning specializations easier (if you want)
Instant Shapeshifting
Extended Shapeshifting (Dragon) Made by the same guy who's working on the Dex fixes. Adds an extra 4 skills to the Shapeshifter tree that let you turn in to a drake and get drake-specific skills. Haven't used this, but it might make Shapeshifting worthwhile.
Steal Cooldown Reduction Steal cooldown reduced to 1.5 seconds (from 10 seconds) - useful if you do a lot of out-of-combat stealing. Might break your tactics if your rogue is set up to auto-steal in combat.
Change Your Character's Gender
Bardic Haste Makes bards better by giving "Song of Valor" the same effect as haste while retaining its original benefit. I don't really consider this overpowered because bards are fairly weak otherwise
Dual Wield 2 Handed Weapons Haven't used this, it's probably overpowered, but I figured someone might like this (WARNING: the game counts this as 2 1 handed weapons, your 2handed weapon skills won't work)
No Follower Autolevel Stops your followers from auto-leveling (They start at level 1 with all appropriate stat/skill/talent points)
No Starting Talents Your character doesn't start specced in to one origin-chosen talent, you get to spend that talent yourself.
Cast Spells Without Sheathing Weapon Useful for Arcane Warriors. Top-tier spells (like inferno, blizzard, etc) still require a weapon sheathing, but weaker spells don't. Makes your Arcane Warrior feel more like a hybrid melee/caster than an autoattacking melee who can cast spells sometimes (or a caster who can autoattack sometimes)

Item Mods: These mods add new items to the game, or modify existing items
Duncan's Armor Add's duncan's armor as an obtainable player armor with stats that aren't overpowered. Includes both a Light Armor version for rogues and a Medium Armor version for warriors. (Known issue: Overwrites the Dalish Armor model, but that looks dumb anyway)
Stamina Potions Adds Herbalism recipes for making potions that restore Stamina
Bomb Range Extension Makes bombs made with the trap skill have a longer range.
Winter Forge Adds an NPC to the player camp that, through a series of dialog options, allows you to create brand new items. You pick the type, model, and stats. This isn't under the "Cheat" section because it's not cheating unless you want to make really overpowered items.

"Cheat" Mods: These are mods that change the game in some way that may be perceived as cheating.
25 Default Tactics makes all characters start with 25 tactic slots.
Easymod "Easy Mod is aiming to become a many-in-one utility script that changes rules the behavior of the game." - currently only has 3 functions, making your inventory bigger, changing your character's name, and fixing a bug involving the Urn quest.
Unlock All Specializations

Other: These are mods that do not fit any other category.
Dragon Age Mod Manager I don't use this, but I've heard good things.

Go go go!

A better option is just to go to the elves, buy up a ton of elfroot, go to a tavern and buy an equal number of flasks and have Morrigan make a billion health poultices. After that, give everyone a Self:Health<50% -Drink Health Poultice tactic.

Sneaking up to Connor's room. Get ready to kill him. Punch Lady Isolde in the face when she interrupts, then make her kill him.

As far as I can tell, you can have either Alistair or Loghain but not both. If Loghain lives, Alistair books it. Sort of pisses me off, because my character wasn't really the casual execution type, but Alistair was his main man.

If Loghain lives, Alistair's gone, no ifs, ands, buts or maybes. If Loghain dies, Anora will be really angry with whomever deals the final blow, and will refuse to marry that person, even if she agreed to do so earlier.

I may try that Duncan's armor mod since the medium armors mostly look bland and the light armors look like leather fetish gear. Seriously, they really out did themselves with the heavy chain and plate armor in this game, and everything else just looks meh beside it. I miss my Warden Commander armor on my current rogue playthrough. It looked so official for a Grey Warden.

Harden Alistair after his bitchy sister quest, tell Anora and him to get married before the Landsmeet, kill Loghain yourself, and then tell Alistair and Anora to get hitched at the Landsmeet. Alistair won't be in your party, but he'll still be present for the epilogue as something other than a useless drunk. So you'll technically have both in your party for 0.2 seconds. Sort of.

Oghren and Zevran buddy cop movie needs to be made
Zevran: I think I have a joke for you, my fine dwarven friend.
Oghren: Just don't expect me to laugh.
Zevran: So a human, an elf, and a dwarf are walking down a trail beside a stream, and they stop to take a piss.
Oghren: All right. Things are lookin' up. Continue.

Zevran: After, the human takes out some soap and begins washing his hands. "We humans have learned how to be clean and hygienic," he says to the others. The elf begins picking some leaves off the trees and wipes his hands with them. "We elves do as tradition has taught us and use what nature has provided." The dwarf, meanwhile, has pulled up his trousers and is already on his way down the trail. "And our ancestors," he calls back, "taught us dwarves not to piss on our hands!" (Laughs)

Oghren: Heh. Shows you what you know about dwarves.
