Google Chrome, now with more extensions! (OP updated)

When I save an image, is there a way to stop the Download Bar from popping up and putting it in the Download Manager?
I use Flashblock because even though it blocks flash it still shows you that it's there and you can just click to prompt it to work.
I'm using adthwart at the moment; seems to do the job well, and doesn't seem to slow down anything. Maybe try it out?
Adblock's a lot better, I've found, but nowhere near as good as the Firefox adblocking extensions. It'll do for now.
With Flashblock and a dependable adblock extension now available, Chrome is good stuff.
Edit: Though I could go for some smooth scrolling.
In Firefox I use something called "Brief" to look at my feeds, mostly just to follow updates to comics and such. I like using this just because it's always one click away.
Is there a good alternative in Chrome? I understand a lot of people use Google Reader - but I don't much fancy the idea of a web application (unless someone can convince me otherwise), although a stand-alone feed reader might be nice but I have no idea where to find a good one - any hints?
Any ideas?
I KISS YOU!
*EDIT* Ok, found a Stylish knockoff, but nothing at all for Greasemonkey. This makes me sad
You don't have 100% support for greasemonkey scripts, but user.js support has existed in opera for a while, and it sounds like chrome has support for the scripts now too. They're basically a subset of what greasemonkey does.
I didn't even know it had an automatic update. I've always gone to the About window to do it.
Are you using the dev channel version?
I also didn't realize how ugly FF was until I started installing extensions. I have several icons in the address bar and the toolbar thing, and it doesn't seem cluttered.
That's pretty neat.
Are there any HTML5 web apps available or not yet?
Youtube has a beta using the video tag, but I'm not sure if you consider that an "app" or not.
This is on an EeePC 901 running Linux, though.
