It is killing me that I don't have a Shockwave code. Is there a cheap way to get a hold of one?
Sexual favors or wait a month or two for them to possibly sell them as an add-on pack. Hopefully they'll add Mirage and Blur to the roster as well. Mirage would be perfect for escalation since he was one of the only bots to actually cloak
I'm baffled, utterly baffled that they didn't add in Sunstreaker and the coneheads Dirge, Thrust, and Ramjet. I mean, just take Sideswipe's model, add some funky fin-like things to either side of his head, paint him yellow, and voila, you've got Sunstreaker. They're twins, you don't have to change much.
And with the coneheads, just take the Starscream model and give em... give em a conehead. That's all you do. It's easy peasy.

Leg Servos officially sucks. I can't even tell the difference between normal and increased footspeed.
On the other hand, dimensional armor is pretty great.
In fact, I'm fairly certain at this point that the Scout really is overpowered. Between the de-cloak bonus, dimensional armor, and mark target, bringing down three soldiers all together isn't really that big of a deal. I'm more concerned about Scouts getting close to me as a Soldier than Scientists walking around with nucleon shock cannons. Maybe the Scientists should get the auto-shotty and the Scouts should get the EMP shotgun? Because unless you get lucky, there's just no way to escape the wrath of a Scout short of a turret hanging around. Even then, they still have plenty of time to get close and use their de-cloak buff to do serious damage.
Discovering that Mark Target is actually good turned me into a killer. Discovering that it has unlimited range turned me into a monster. "Oh no! Is he right behind me? Is he across the stage?" Am I safe behind this wall?"
Sometimes I just randomly hit someone with it to freak them out, like if they're hanging near a window and I don't think I can get a good shot off.
I haven't even tried Mark Target yet. I just can't bear to get rid of Cloak and Dash.

The problem with Dash is it's fairly situational and pretty much only delays the inevitable. It's tough to hit a Dashing target, but as long as they stay in LOS and outside of short range you will eventually kill them. So you need to either be really close to evade out of crosshairs and automatic fire or just about to get around a corner for Dash to be useful. If you're smart enough about it, Dash really isn't necessary since you either get the kill you wanted or you can recognize a botched attempt and escape much more effectively as a car.
Mark Target always benefits you and your team. Even if you end up in a fight waiting for Cloak to cool off, you can mark a target and get another big damage bonus. Combined with decloaking + sniper rifle or decloaking + shotgun + melee, anything short of a Leader with Warcry at full health is a quick kill. And even if you fail to kill that Leader, the mark will now make it much easier for your team to bring him down. On top of that, the simple harassment factor of tagging somebody across the map. They usually have no idea where you are but end up plenty distracted as well as easy pickings for another teammate.
Was there a patch for the PS3 version? If so PlayStation Plus works well, as I didn't have to wait to play today. Just finished the Decepticon Campaign... that was fun. Autobots tomorrow!

This has been what I've been feeling. Essentially it feels like the Scout either deals too much damage or has too many options if not both. Pretty much with any class I play the class I fear the most is a Scout. Of course, this may just be my experience in Conquest where you're often times forced to sit on a single point with several avenues of attack open and little wiggle room to move around. Could also just be me I suppose.
After my experiences with Scientist, they definitely need to reward healing more. With all the nice support abilities the class has it's rather depressing to essentially get no reward for using them. Anyone have a suggestion for a game type to play? Because Conquest is decent, but rather frustrating as a scientist since it seems half the time I just die and die since I'm forced to be immobile if I want to capture a point. Team Death Match is amusing, but if I support my allies and make myself useful, I often times get less than 1000 EXP due to the aformentioned lack of healing rewards.
As was said before, try Power Struggle. When the point you need to control moves, Scientists easily get there first. Drop a Sentry and wait, Shockwave the opposing team right back out of the area, try to get a few kills. Flee at the first sign of trouble, if you want to try and squeak out a few more kills, or just want to let your allies do the rough work.
Even dying just means you get all your abilities refreshed. Since deaths don't mean your team is losing, and since you don't have to stay in one spot or else the counter resets, you're free to die and immediately rush back and start all over again. You just want to capture the spot, blow all your cooldowns and tricks to get kills/xp, then die/retreat and start all over.
It's not really the best first impression to make on the forums to fly into a thread asking for exclusive codes and posting rapid-fire with a disregard for the rules of English. I'll leave it at that.
Actually, no, I have to ask: Why is it you have such a large number of games where you've only played the first level or a couple hours of it, and then just dropped it? There's over a dozen on your list, and I didn't even scroll down very far.
Unless there's a scientist perk that counters it (I looked over them and didn't see one), your crosshair always turns red when pointed at an enemy scientist, even if they are disguised. It's the fastest way to spycheck and works at any distance.
In the PC version the crosshair stays white... unless you deal damage of course.
Well, lets wait for the patch.
Hello Everyone , War for cybertron is the best transformers game ever!!!!!!!!!
Wich is admitably not saying much, lol. No, more important its a GREAT game, even if compared to titles outside the license, and THAT is impressive.
Running it for the first time is a spiral of emotions, comperable to this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Oqek9Ktuwy8&feature=related
In the end its simply a great game. But it definetly suffers from the license as much as it benefits, i bet a lot of people have not bothered to look into it just because its a transformers game. Bane and blessing at the same time.
After all this time of dragging down the francise to a bad reputation this is a MAJOR step in the right direction.
There should be some kind of award in the industry for such achivements.
Is it just me or does the autobot campaign feel significantly harder than the decepticon's campaign to anyone else? Not only the beginning of the campaign feels much more difficult, but the increase in each chapter seems to be much higher than on the decepticon campaign. Come to think of it, maybe it is more fitting this way, as the autobots were always the slightly less powerful underdogs.
I'm currently stuck on
the part where you have to protect Ratchet while he fixes up Omega. It's like there's no end to the waves of enemies and the snipers are handing me my ass. It doesn't help that I only have 1 segment of health left at the start of the checkpoint. Is there any energon lying around in that area? All I can find is ammo and lots of different guns behind the two seperate doors.
If normal is this hard, I think I'll skip playing on hard anytime soon. I'll be trying multiplayer this weekend for some double XP, so that should be a nice change from being stuck on single player.

There is a hallway behind Omega Supreme that has 3 overshields in it.
Yesterday I got an e-mail from Gamefly saying this was shipped to me - and lo and behold, it was in the mail on the same day. Just one of the benefits of living so close to the shipping center in Tampa I guess.
Three missions into the Decepticon campaign and I love how much the dialogue keeps with that classic G1 vibe; Megatron, Starscream and all the others sound just like they would in the old Saturday morning show during their back-and-forths. The gameplay's simple but really fun, and it has that addictive quality to it that I like. Great job by the devs so far.
So apparently someone found a listing for the first DLC pack. Here's what it said:
Become the ultimate weapon and wage war in four new maps – engage in multiplayer combat in HAVOC and FORTRESS or fend off waves of Autobots in DISTRICT, and Decepticons in FORSAKEN, two new Escalation mode maps. Also gain access to 5 characters and their chassis for use in Escalation mode and Multiplayer character creation; SCATTERSHOT, ONSLAUGHT, DEMOLISHOR, SHOCKWAVE and JAZZ are ready for battle. Fight to the end in the war that started it all! There are no refunds for this item. For more information, see www.xbox.com/live/accounts.
Onslaught seems to be the guy on the left, Scattershot the guy on the right.
It looks like the Cons will get a 2nd Leader, 2nd Scientist, and a 3rd Soldier. The bots will get a 2nd soldier and a 3rd scout.
Maybe this was covered already in the previous 90 pages of this thread, but, is there a PS3 demo? I haven't seen one and I really want to demo the game before I go spend money on it.

I have found it much easier to play with actual people VS. AI teamates. I used Warpath so I was able to keep a forcefield screen up between Ratchet and most bad guys (it took a couple of tries to learn where to throw it properly). Also, there are heavy weapons in the side alcoves behind doors (up small ramps to the left and right of Omega), where those overshields are there is a healing ray (transform and turbo there in between waves of enemies).
Hope this helps! I should have a little time Saturday (day being the operative word) to get me some double XP. If you see me online, send me an invite!

Yeah, Onslaught looks just like that in the DS version and Scattershot was identified by looking through the PC version's files.
So unsurprisingly the DLC robots consists of unlocking content that's already on the disc. The MP maps are all new though, Which pleases me more, since that means they *are* committed to bringing more to the table than just the stuff that's already there but still locked. Which would be nifty because the last two locked robots are playable Zeta Prime and Dead End.
Also technically the cons' 2nd scientist and autobots' 3rd scout are already there, you forgot the fembots.
