The Venture Bros. will return...SPOILERS for Season 4 follow. You've been warned.
Now in its fourth season,
the Venture Brothers is the best thing on [adult swim].
Team Venture
Son of the late, great Dr. Jonas Venture,
Dr. Thaddeus S. "Rusty" Venture was once a boy adventurer, is now a washed-up has-been living off of the stuff his father left behind. Last in the spotlight in "Self-Medication" when he teamed up with other ex-boy adventurers to solve the mystery of who killed their therapist.
With their clone slugs destroyed by the Monarch at the end of Season 3, the Venture Brothers,
Henry Allen "Hank" Venture and Dean Venture, have been starting to grow up. Hank dreams of being a Batman badass in the vein of his idol, Brock Sampson (more on him in a second), while Dean seem to be set to follow in his father's footsteps as a super-scientist. The boys were last highlighted in last week's "The Better Man", when Dean and Triana finally "broke up" after Doc Orpheus' Master gave her a glimpse of what her future with Dean might be like.
The Ventures' new bodyguard,
Sergeant Hatred, used to be their archenemy. He's gotten better, though, and taken on Brock's responsibilities. He's also a pretty huge pedestrian. Last seen, well, being a pedestrian in "Self-Medication". May have taken the X-1 to Thailand during the events of "The Better Man', for all we know.
Meepmoomeemoobleemeemoop HELPeR meep moop meep. [Last seen in the season premiere, having acted briefly as Brock's "robo-haht" and then rebuilt as a fusion of his original design and Doctor Venture's Walking Eye robot from "Fallen Arches".]
Brock Sampson, The Swedish Murder Machine, was last seen in the season premiere, killing Hitler. He is currently working with SPHINX, former enemies of OSI, which is apparently now (or was perhaps always?) comprised of ex-OSI members. He is coming back next week and is apparently going to get into a fight with 21.
The Order of the TriadDoctor Byron Orpheus, Master of Mysticism, rents out the old Venture Arachnid Research Lab from Doctor Venture. Last seen in "The Better Man", working to save the Outrider, the younger, more dashing necromancer who stole his wife from him.
Triana Orpheus, Doctor Orpheus' daughter, longtime crush of Dean's, lives with her dad. Or at least she did until the end of "The Better Man", when Doctor Orpheus' Master convinced her that hooking up with Dean would be a nightmare, and that she should move out and live with her mom to train to become a sorcereress.
The Alchemist!
BA-DAAAA! Another member of Orpheus' Triad. Searches for the Philosphers' Stone. Last seen in "The Better Man", wanting the Outrider to call him.
Jefferson Twilight hunts Blaculas. Last seen in "The Better Man", discovering that he actually did, in fact, have magical powers.
The Master, Orpheus' mentor, is an extradimensional being, found through a portal in Triana's closet. He has a tendency to overexaggerate things to get his point across. Last seen in "The Better Man" as Orpheus' ex-wife, and later as a future Dean Venture.
THE MIGHTY MONARCH!The Monarch is Doctor Venture's archenemy. Last seen in "Self-Medication", killing Doctor Venture's therapist to get around Guild regulations that would otherwise prevent him from arching Doctor Venture.
Dr. Mrs. The Monarch,
nee Dr. Girlfriend,
nee Queen Etherea,
nee Lady Au Pair, is the brains behind the Monarch's operation. Last seen in "The Revenge Society" looking for her shoe that Phantom Limb stole.
Henchman 21 has come up far in the ranks, and is essentially Henchman 1 at this point (although he refuses to change his number for fear of ending up like all the other 1's, i.e. dead). Last seen in "Self-Medication", [strike]talking to 24's skull.[/strike] videopodblogging...casting.
Henchman 24 is dead....
OR IS HE?! Either way, expect what's going on with that mysterious moving pen at the end of "Return to Malice" to get resolved somehow.
Days of Yore
The man, the myth, the legend:
Doctor Jonas Venture. Founder of Venture Industries, creator of scientific marvels such as the X-1 and the Gargantua-1, a brilliant scientist--but a lousy parent. Currently dead, possibly killed by Kano for meddling with the Orb. Last seen in the Rusty Venture show in "O.R.B." about to be shot by Half-Jackal.
Ex-RAF and MI5,
Colonel Horace Gentleman was another member of the original Team Venture. He was last seen in "Now Museum, Now You Don't!" talking about his threesome with
Gore Vidal and
Wally Schirra.
Exiled son of Atlantis
Otto Aquarius works for the Jehovah's Witnesses these days, although he was also a member of the original Team Venture. Last seen in "Now Museum..." with the rest of the old crew.
The Action Man also rolled with the original Team Venture. He last turned up in "Now Museum..." complaining about the stairs in Spider-Skull Island. (He has plastic knees, you son of a bitch!)
Major Tom assumed his spaceship knew which way to go, and got blown up for being so stupid. Last seen in "Ghosts of the Sargasso", newly returned from the dead.
Mute man-mountain
Kano was last seen in "O.R.B.", where it was suggested that he may have killed Jonas Venture for meddling with the secrets of the Orb.
Ook-ook was a caveman who was also somehow part of the original Team Venture. Last seen in "Now Museum..." on display inside a block of ice.
Dr. Entmann/Humongoloid used to be able to change from being a giant to being a tiny guy, currently seems to be stuck in tiny mode. Last seen in "Now Museum..." with the rest of the old Team Venture.
Professor Richard "Dicky" Impossible used to tag along with the original Team Venture. Nowadays, he's in tough shape ever since the elder Venture Brothers wooed his wife away and stretched the hell out of him in pursuit of the alien gateway Jonas Venture left behind. Last seen in tough shape in "Now Museum..."

Critical Failures - Havenhold Campaign • August St. Cloud (Human Ranger)
We are, 8 now and 8 in the spring.
Thirded.
I'm guessing Hatred is out as the Venture's bodyguards... the OSI is snubbing him, and Dean and Hank had to get the Monarch's minions to stop him from being a complete danger.
Fantastic OP! Just realized we havn't heard from JJ in a while.

If you just close your eyes while the Outrider is talking, then you can't even notice the difference.
Which is funny because according to the credits, JJ is voiced by James Urbaniak while the Outrider was voiced by Doc Hammer.
I remember in one of the recent episodes Hank said "oh my god" in an exasperated way and it sounded just like 21
