Which of you was it that mentioned something about a homebrew system?

I'm working on a system right now, I think someone else mentioned it too back when we were talking about CCGs.

Uncalled for Fun Fact: In "A Christmas Story" in the last shot where the family is eating in the Chinese restaurant, well it was actually raining super hard outside, so except for the camera guys, the entire crew was hiding behind the wall to their side.

Aaaah....I got so many art books for Christmas...

    Its pretty great.

EDIT - I still got some holiday cash left over. I'm torn between buying a human skull, or a modest set of speakers for my computer.

That being said, you folks know of any reliable sites for buying skulls?

EDIT2 - Oh, I am also now the proud owner of volumes 1 - 32 of Berserk! I finally caught up. Even if I have already read the entire series through 4 or 5 times online. It fills me with glee to physically own each one.

I got some pretty sweet books as well, some of them are just entertainment, like Stuff White People Like by Christian Lander, but I also got A Theory of Craft by Howard Risatti, which is a great book. I also got a shit load of candy 'n junk, and socks.

You can never go wrong with books in my opinion.

I sent an amazon wishlist with some books on it to my sister, but she found my other wishlist with stuff I eventually meant to buy for myself. She then sent that to my mum along with the first. So I got way more than I was expecting.

I got 27 - 32 of Berserk, Drawing on the Right Side of the Brain, the Natural Way to Draw, Spectrum 16, Carlos Huante's Monstruo, The Alien LIfe of Wayne Barlowe, Barlowe's Inferno, and Massive Black's first concept art book.

Actually, its not permanent yet. I am only visiting my GF`s parents in Okinawa. I`ll be here untill like January 12th. Also, I`m trying to make some contacts for work, I got one more guy so far.

Well you'd better be there by the time I get there. *shakes fist*

@Buck: I got 'Imaginative Realism' by James Gurney for Christmas. It's a pretty damn good book, though I think it's a tad advanced for me.

It's not because of my parents having money problems, they're just turning into cheapskates to be honest. Most of the shit people got on these boards during the holidays fucking blew me away.

Given your situation, bulk up on necessities first.

You don't have to blow all your money on this, but five hundred dollars can go a really long ways if used properly.

I could pay off another bill entirely, with $150 left over. Which I could then apply to yet another bill.

    Sigh.

So let me ask you guys something. Not sure if anyone here has studied law besides munkus, but here goes.

I owe money to an insurance company for damages to one of their insured vehicles. The story is that my aunt forced me with threats of homelessness (pretty ironic now that I think about it) and I caved to her will, driving her uninsured car to deliver her rent check. During delivery some guy pulled out in front of me and I clipped his tail end.

    About $2900 damages. 15mph accident.

Anyway, we ended up going to court over this, and it was ruled that we are both liable for the full amount...so whether we split it, how we split it, and so forth is up to us.

Well, she hasn't paid a nickel, and I don't want to cover the whole thing, and under the law she's every bit as liable as I am, so is there some way that I can legally absolve myself of the debt after I've paid 50%? If I cant then I am screwed, because she is not gonna give up one red cent.

Just finished watching O Brother, Where Art Thou?

Great movie, but it's definitely going to take more than one viewing to get the entire picture because it's a Coen Brothers film.

Also now i'm put in a southern music-and-venue type of mood.

    Short answer: No.

Long answer: Quit being a chump. You're a goddamn homeless guy. What are they going to take from you in order to recoup their losses, your birthday? And, well, I don't know shit about your aunt, but I can deduce that she owns a car and lives in a house of some type, so wait it out. After enough time has passed they'll try to get all of the garbage she calls possessions seized and you can laugh in her stupid cunt face.
