    Noooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo.

Talk about a conglomerate scheme. Let's make the best selling title of the year $60 on PC and then base our rationality on making every PC game after that $60, on how it sells.

Remember when games were $20, and didn't have pay per month fees?

Surprised the Move is actually selling. Microsoft can't go a week without declaring what a success the Kinect is.

Good on Sony. I've only actively used it on Heavy Rain, but it works great for that game. And since I have nowhere near enough feet for Kinect, I'll have to hope they keep on supporting it.

Yeah, I wish I came from whatever universe it was that you came from. Games have always been about $70 in Canada since the NES days.

PC games used to be cheaper, but we as consumers only have ourselves to blame for the price hike.

    Same.

I mean, even played a couple rounds of CoDBLOPS and a friend's house, and you know what?

It was meh. The dumb arcade shooter minigame was way more fun than the main stuff, and it wasn't Geometry Wars or anything. Just kind of there.

When you realize the same money could get both Mass Effects AND Team Fortress 2?

yeah, i just pray that activision doesn't start making a really good game that's worth the money, cause then the gaming world is fucked

imagine if in some parallel universe the half-life series was made by activision and came out on a yearly basis for 70 dollars and each game was amazing

Just to double-check, the PS Move version of Extration is only available on the CE of Dead Space 2, right?

A K-mart add listed it as "exclusive to PS3" while showing the regular version's box. This was the main basis for pre-ordering the CE, but if it turns out that the regular version has it too, then I might change my order and save $20.

Speaking of Kmart, they have a (mostly unadvertised) deal this week: buy Dead Space 2 and get a free $20 PSN card or a free 1600 XBox Live points card. Just take both to the register and the discount should automatically pop up.

Hurrrrgh, as tempting as that is, I can't think of any downloadable games from either console that I really want for the moment, aside from Case West.

Not really worth trudging into a K-mart, especially the incredibly horrible K-marts near me.

Local, you will have Dead Space 2 on Tuesday, young man.

The midnight release is a bit of a double-edged sword; on the one hand, Dead Space in the middle of the night without lights on as it's meant to be. On the other, it has been about 16 degrees outside here in PA.

It wasn't that bad. I just beat it in 45 minutes. I finished all of the racing games on the first try. I don't know what the story was leading in to, hopefully it'll pick up at the start of DS2?

Any tips for the silly racing game in Ignition? I'm stuck on one race and it's driving me crazy. I feel like I am missing something basic.

I chanced upon people talking about this mini-game elsewhere on the net. Lots of people simply give up on it. It's poorly designed.

All of the DS2 unlocks occur after your first hacking minigame in Ignition. You don't actually have to beat it if the racing game if you're only after the unlocks.

Oh thank Christ. Yeah I was just playing it for the unlocks. Ignition is the worst piece of crap ever.

If this is true...I love you

But if your lying I'll cut you. I'll cut you so bad you'll wish I didn't cut you so bad.

Does everyone in space have a spinebar thing?

    Yes.

They explained it in some background writings that miners, engineers and other personnel were always in dark areas and it was the best way to tell at a glance the physical condition of your co-workers. There was even a "Watch each other's back!" propaganda poster aboard the Ishimura in the first game.

Most everyone on the Ishimura had a RIG due to the dangerous nature of the task the ship was performing.

Other individuals and specialist personnel on the Sprawl likely would have them depending on who they are and what their job is.

I think I've caught shots of civilians without them in the few trailers floating around.
