awesome, i don't think i could have done it better. what version of the song is that? i don't think an official soundtrack was released, and it's one of my favorite songs.

I don't think that version of Adagio is the theatrical version from Sunshine. Has quite a bit more guitar. I'm actually curious myself now where it is from.
Edit: It is from Sunshine, but it's "Kanada's Death Pt 2 (Adagio in D Minor)", not the very similar track from the end that's simply "Adagio in D Minor".
This pretty much better than every one of EA's Dead Space 2 promotional videos.
Bravo.
Altman be praised!
Thanks (and thanks to everyone else who's given compliments). If I had the resources the EA trailer guys have it would have been even better (like being able to move the camera wherever I want, off of Isaac). I'll make a Dead Space 2 music video after I play through it once if there's enough interest.
Oh and this is random, but holy shit did I hate Kendra. For the beginning of the game she acted like the situation she's in was annoying because it's making her late for her pedicure session. "I can't access that Hammond."

Will the cheats from Dead Space 1 still work in 2? I know they did in the demo.
Dead Space 1 had cheats?
If you translate some of the Unitology speak it gives you various "konami" codes for extra cash, more nodes, refill air, refill stasis and such. Makes playthroughs on hard so much easier when you can just jam a code in and recharge stasis with out any inventory space being used by packs.

Her death was most satisfying. At least Hammond came around towards the end and died like a bro

Just running round gunning down necromorphs with my pulse rifle. And for the first time i'm actually using the force gun. I'm finding it way more useful then the Line gun.

For my three playthroughs so far I've been in the line gun camp but reading all the love for the force gun is making me want to try it again. Was I just doing it wrong? Even fully upgraded it seemed to just knock necros around without killing them.

You shouldn't use it for killing necromorphs. Well i don't anyway. Its really useful when you get a bunch of them in front of you. BAM and they all go flying back. Then you switch to another weapon and cut them to pieces whilst they're stunned.
However i've only put 1 node into it so far. It might become a death dealing machine in its own right once i upgrade it more.

Walk up to an incapacitated necro and fire a blast. Watch the appendages fly.

Gamefly just sent me an email noting they've send DS2.
Assuming I cancel the account on the 30th (the day before it's over), how long can I have the game before they send the MiB? I'm not talking like a stupid amount of time, but I'd like to finish the game.

Ah, so it's a two-shot weapon? One to knock them down and another to blow them apart?

I find waiting until they're in melee distance and then aiming at their legs/crotch usually kills them in one shot.

On lower nodes, yes.
Upgrade that shit and it suddenly becomes your new best friend. Instagib at close range, baby.
High 5, sibling! I've got £40 in GAME vouchers from my girlfriend's sister and mum that is being spent on this. I'm sure there's a layer of irony in there.
If ManCat (not really a cat) deems it worthy for the OP, and anybody is interested in MP Penny Arcade shenanigans, we should get a list going. I only have any experience grouping up with some guys for Uncharted 2's multiplayer, but it was a lot of fun.

I would also like to get in on some MP shenanigans, but only after I've played through the SP at least once.

Very nice. Could do with some transitions and soft effects, possibly.
But that's just me. :P
Good job mate.
In which we all cap bits of Dead Space and set them to orchestral music.
There are no prizes but watching other's awesome videos. Go.

My new computer can not come soon enough.
it did lots of damage close up and flung enemies away like a cinematic shotgun. that's basically the role it played.
in any sticky situation, the force gun is what kept me alive on Hard.
Friday for us britbros
fully upgraded it will blow the limbs off a slasher, but you really have to be within kissing distance
i still prefer the line gun as its energy pulse not only cuts through necros up close, but keeps going to slam into the ones coming up after

i am going to PM you a picture of me ecstatic with glee as I destroy necromorphs
Yeah, some fades might actually work at the end. Maybe I'll tweak it later and try to get some better quality out of it too.
does anyone know what I get in DS2 for having finished playing ignition
Also: Cash and Nodes apparently.
