Oh god, not another cat thread.

Yes, a cat thread. I love my cats dearly (have three, 1 11 year old Siamese and two 1 ish year old tabby kittens we rescued when they were 2 months), but one of them just lovesjumping on counter tops. Now we squirt them and make all sorts of noise to make it unpleasant, but we can't be around all hours of the day, and we know she jumps up there when we are gone.

Are we on the right track with training her, or is there more we can do?

People use double-stick tape to deter cats from clawing furniture. I imagine you could do the same thing to keep them off a countertop if you were so inclined. I'm not sure whether it's a reasonable thing to do on your countertop, though.

Have you tried one of those motion-detector spray things?
