No, I'm going as the main character from Persona 4. His first weapon is a golf club. It's not key to the costume, but it's a funny accessory for people who know the game. I'll probably leave the club at my hotel and just carry a tarot card.

So I hear that you guys need a Louis. I plan as going as Louis and it is a good thing I'm dark too . The no guns will be difficult, oh well, I can make it out of styrofoam. My head will be bald-ish too, not sure if I should shave it or get a bald fade. And trust me I'll bring plenty of PEELS. Now question, does it seem out of character for Louis to bring a melee weapon or should I stick with a molotov (probably will be made of plastic or foam)?

I have a Codex costume that I put a lot of time and effort into, and planned on wearing to a convention this year...I keep going back and forth on whether to bring it to PAX or not.
@ Willmannyeatthat - Sweeeet you should totally shave your head. Bald guys are the best. Well, okay, mustaches/beards totally win that one out.... but the <i>next</i> most awesome hair is no hair at all!
@ Aerynkelly - if you're Codex on friday, I will actively seek you out in a non-stalker way, and take your picture. I love The Guild, and it would totally make my weekend!

i was thinking you guys might be able to get me some feedback on a costume idea i had- what about link as a rabbit from link to the past? it would be awesome! but the more i think about it, the more i realize its probably going to be really difficult to find both a rabbit costume and a link costume. someone who already has one should do it. I've never seen it done before.

And I've got to say, my Zoey costume is coming along damn fine!
I plan on coming along as a HL2 Rebel. My boyfriend might as well. No monies for a really cool costume.
Frustrating that we probably shouldn't have guns, as I'll feel rather un-rebel like without my pistol!

Keep in mind this is a rule for your own safety and convenience. The convention is in a public building at the heart of a major metropolitan area. Security and convention center staff will be all over the place, plus Enforcers. Bringing something that looks like a gun, behaves like a gun, and gets the same reactions as a gun is a bad idea.

I'd say it depends on what it's made of and how much harm it looks like it can cause.
