Hate: Was running stuff on my pally and a fucking hunter needed and won the damn ToC heroic axe that was an upgrade for me. Mother fucker was needing on downgrades on shoulders and only doing 700 dps the entire run. His 3rd most damaging attack was my ret aura.

You just reminded me of something that really pissed me off. I was running H HoL for the random dungeon, and we get this PuG DK. He does alright, doesn't pull aggro, decent damage output, jokes around with me and my guildies. The 2h axe drops off Loken and I say, "needing for offspec" since I was on my warrior (who actually doesn't even have an offspec), and saw that he also rolled need. He ends up winning it. I check his gear, and he has the Edge of Ruin equipped.
Hope: Finish up the ~80 emblems I need to finish off the heirloom trinkets so I can move on to actually gearing up and resist the temptation to upgrade without meeting my goal first.
Happy: This update is sexy, from 1200dps self buffed to 2800dps self buffed in a couple days.
Hate: Getting randomly grouped into a "guild run" and deal with comments of how the gear checker isn't working and other snide remarks.
Happy: Upstaged their group and forced the tier 9.5 rogue to actually start trying before I beat him in dps, take that you pricks.

He may have decided to use it for tanking. Having to re-runeforge your weapon everytime you switch between tanking and dpsing would be a gigantic pain in the ass.

See. They should be so lucky to get any of us forumers in their groups because I have seen warlocks that only rain of fire and wand or death knights that dps in frost presence.
Hate: My warrior feels no fun compared to the healing classes
I'm finding a lot of tanks who really can't tank ninja'ing green drops, then play it off like they don't understand english.
A lot of highs ratio'd to a dash of lows. Still gets my wang salute of the holiday season.

I don't know about you guys but I haven't had any problems with random groups except when it dumps me into one of the new heroics. Mainly because for all the other heroics, I can largely carry even a bad group simply by virtue of the fact that as a paladin tank I do a ton of AOE damage by myself, and with my gear as it is, my block value is high enough so that I often simply do not take damage while tanking them, giving everyone lots of breathing room.
Can't do that for the new ones though, so the whole group has to perform a lot better and that doesn't always happen.
I expected cross-realm dungeons to be like cross-realm BGs. Total anonymity, so people ninja-loot, trash talk constantly about how great they are, try to tell everyone what to do, and leave at the slightest sign of trouble. But it really hasn't been like that.

Say that to my face, fucker, not online, and see what happens.
Happy: ran the new dungeons with a solid group on normal. I like how the story flows from one dungeon to the next. It kinda compels you to keep going even though you didn't really plan on it.
Happy: got some new gloves and a better weapon. Lost tons of hit, but I got enough badges for T9 shoulders to get me back up to some decent level.
Love: Haven't really used Seal of Command since it was redesigned. My god is that thing great now. Loving all this AoE.
Well I just did the Weekly raid Noth in NAxx with a warrior who has less than 24k health the off tank had 40k
Hopefully I can get it done on my rogue tomorrow I know i am getting the dregs of what's left but still it's not that hard it's the first boss and about 10 minutes in
A new hate of mine is getting into people who started the run before the reset {7:59pst} and then getting into the run after it's reset thus getting into a new one
I have no choice but leave and get the debuff. THe one I got into this morning had people hurling racial insults when I was trying to figure out where they were in Nexus before I figured out I was in a different instance
Happy: Tanked Forge of Souls on my DK quite successfully. Only 2 deaths, one of which was my fault.
Extra Happy: Got the tanking boots off the 2nd boss.
Hatred: Why is it so hard to get expertise capped as a tank? I'm barely cutting it right now, and the new boots drop me to 22, and it keeps going down as I see new upgrades.
For the person who asked in the old thread (I think it was Zython), this is my DW frost DK tank. His gear has...improved since I last posted and he's now up to 4pT9 with a few other decent upgrades.
Next purchase is going to probably be the triumph badge tank sigil.
EDIT: Additional happy: urged to pick up my mage again so I could run the new heroics with some guildies (since I was saved on my DK and pally). He's now up to 2pT9, picked up Seethe as well as a new chest and trinket from Heroic PoS.

Still a seething hate: people who use gearscore
just fucking uninstall it.
it has ZERO benefit. there is not a single time at all no matter what where gearscore is a valid tool. if you do need to rate someone's gear, there are several ways to do so that are actually effective at doing so.
Hate: Windows became corrupted, and after a few days of trying to fix it, had to reformat and go from Vista to XP. Now the reinstall of WoW begins... 2% down, 6 more gigs to go.
Happy?: My mage is a good distraction to level when my warrior can't get out of the "Not quite good enough to raid, have to run shitty heroics to get more badges for gear" doldrums.

Hate: Heroic Halls of Reflection. I am convinced the mobs in there have an aggro drop mechanic, because I am losing aggro the instant I am not focusing on them, even spamming swipe and maul.

Unlike DPS, I don't think Blizzard intends for tanks to be hit/expertise dodge capped by default. You can certainly do it but you'll probably have to pick up some separate pieces for it. They might be a half or full tier below what you've got, but if you're going for threat over survival that shouldn't be an issue.
Yeah, I always thought that Tanks were far more interested in making every attack count moreso than making every attack HIT.
It's still important to hit, of course, but not nearly worth gimping yourself so that one hit was worth dick threat and due to your lacking in block/dodge/parry/RNG grace, you got smashed in the face ANYWAY.
Yeah, I thought about it, and the only ability that would be significantly hurt by a loss of expertise is Frost Strike (stupid 3.2 change). So woo, more health!
just fucking uninstall it.

I think I actually managed to convince a mage in some random heroic that Gearscore was worthless. I told him about that one guild who cleared Ulduar in all blues, and the NUMEROUS times that I have seen T8+ geared people do 1500 or less DPS.
He sounded sort of convinced that gear means fairly little after a point.

If I remember right, theres currently a bug that is affecting tanks and mobs. I think he had to do with positioning and such, so that might be it. Sorry if thats vague, but its been a day or two since I read it.
What kind of backwards ass raid let him have iLevel 258 pants with the rest of his gear? He has a Molten Core amulet for fucks sake!
He has more Spellpower than my Moonkin does!
While I'm not Hunter expert, the spec doesn't look TOO bad, so my guess is he has a "Fuck with people" set of gear that him and his buddies put together, giggling to themselves like schoolgirls, that he logs out in.

I saw that but it's not my issue. Swipe is 360 degrees now. Somehow I just lose aggro way too quickly on those damn ghosts. Faster than in a raid.

More people should start fucking with Gearscore. I suggest warriors get highest-level cloth. Healers get 'confused' and constantly try to dps in healing gear. Hunters melee. Rogues throw. Shamans use 1 totem and claim 'only 1 is needed nubs' when asked. Hunters gear like resto Druids. Resto Druids like Hunters. And everyone acts like a super-obnoxious shit.
Just generally get the message across that just because they have a high collected iLevel, doesn't mean they're any good. Then people will be all 'Gearscore makes no difference! This one time, we had a Warlock in T10 who tried to use his Succubus to tank!' and they start to feel afraid to use it.
This should only happen when someone advertises for a raid and requires a gearscore check. Everyone else gets your best efforts.

There's a mod specifically designed to fuck with gearscore. It sends a fake score of 6000 so that they're forced to actually look at your gear. It's borked atm but they are apparently working on a way of updating it so that it fucks with gearscore again.

Happy: Just sold an epic gem to put me back over 2k gold on my main, which is my comfort zone. Think I'm going to blow my first 23 frost badges on a chunk of primordial saronite (currently selling for 6-7k on my server), then spend all of my rogue's frost badges on same when she hits the heroics in a level.
Happy: Got my Perky Pug last night. Of course, now I will be bored again unless I just start pugging random heroics on my priest out of the kindness of my heart. (It's a fun little ego boost to get the occasional "OMG GREAT HEALS" or "Our last healer sucked, thanks for saving us!")
Hate: Bullshit loot drama over alt raids. I ended up just leaving the raid after Val'kyr last night because a prot paladin was given Death's Choice over all the actual DPS in the raid, just because he said "oh btw I'm rolling as ret tonight." Not since Naxx pugs, a fucking entire year ago, did we let people do that. Generally, you have a main spec, everyone knows your main spec, you don't get to just decide from week to week what gear you're rolling on. But he gave it to him anyway. I warned them beforehand it shouldn't happen, and they just ignored me. So fuck them. I was tanking, too, but I knew the guy who stole the DC could easily SWAP TO HIS MAIN SPEC and take over for Anub. I just couldn't stay in the raid and pretend it was okay. I don't know if I'm even going to any more alt runs between the bullshit in ICC Friday and the bullshit in ToC last night.
Hmm: Got a PUG to Lord Marrowgar last night and wiped on him like eight times or so. Not looking forward to him being the weekly raid target.
Consolation Prize: Got about 855 Ashen Verdict rep out of it, and not saved to the instance yet.
No offense, but I don't know how you'd wipe on Marrowgar. Tanks do their thing, everyone else avoids fires and bursts down spikes. Nothing complicated at all...oh wait, a pug.
